Polar Paradigm is a space for me to post up some of my poetic works as a means to share. Comments are welcomed but I am in no way looking for criticism/technical critiques. I am more than willing to talk about my poetic works here and more than willing to share insights to particular poems of mine if asked. If you would like to be an affiliate to this thread just PM me. Remember that in order to be an affiliate it has to be to another poetry thread here on Gaia.

All works are property to myself even under the gaian alias of Onyx2047. I prohibit the use of my poetry without written consent and in no way condone anyone that steals any of my works.

Make sure you understand the rules. I didn't say you had to like them, agree with them, but understand them.

1 . Read THIS if you haven't already.

2. What is it meant by comments and not criticism?
Comments: This means I am interested in hearing your thoughts on the writings.
Criticism:I am not looking for technical critiques. How can you critique the life through another persons eye's anyway?
The point of this thread as stated in the opening is to share and to talk about the writings within.

3. I aim to have mature people in here please. It is like what is said in the rules and guidelines "Like all art, poetry is a very personal experience. " It is very true and here is no different. I share insights into my life, my feelings, my thoughts and it's why I am not looking for technical critiques.

4. Remember that not all of my poetry is meant to rhyme. Sometimes I just write sayings or deep thoughts/opinions that relate to a particular subject, view, incident at a time. Again, it's why I am not looking for technical critique.

5. If you find any spelling errors in my works please don't be a numpty about it. Just PM be about it if it bothers you that much and I will be more than happy to fix it.

6. If you have something you'd like to say personally to me, especially something negative, please don't air it out in the thread. Be mature, show a little respect and personal professionalism and PM me. Why? Because it's really no one else' business now is it?

7. Please do not quote large chunks of my front page or works of poetry in the thread. Thank you.

Sovereignty of Silence

Is it wrong to dream in day lights wake?
For a fleeting moment, a touch does take

Should I be apologetic for the feelings I bare?
As I shrug it off and pretend not to care

And when my chest begins to ache
My mind cant focus and threatens to break

Why do I seek out the comfort of your thought?
To relive that magic I thought I fought

To make it stop and tell you to leave
would only make my heart grieve

For in passing days the constriction has gotten tighter
the heavy steps and my conception got lighter

In my thoughts where we do live, I find myself returning
for your attention and affection my body is yearning

Is it wrong to feel the ribbons as it pulls on me, baring
to think of reality, I think it's me I am scaring

Nothing yet and so much more, never to walk through that door
I find this all alarming, love dumped, bound and sore

Truth be told, I just want to touch you even for a minute
so I could transcend that memory and dwell there within it

When it rains I wonder if you listen with me in bliss?
Think about a fictional moment, a fictional kiss?

Like a deck of cards that house comes crashing down around me
and we'll do what we're meant to anyways, as two profoundly

And in the end at least I can say I am happy every single day
because it comes in many forms, helpless that I loved you anyway.

El Diablo

A darker walk of life, another side of my truth
another door I had not seen, a piece of proof.
Am I really not far behind? Is it me I see in your eyes?
Can I really love all that I fight, all I despise?
What is this that runs through my veins?
an alarming threat, your darkness it stains.
Caught up in your masochism,in your vanity
Cant seem to get enough of your sweet insanity.
Etched upon my skin this dying bliss
A star crossed path, a most painful kiss.
Lock me up here your eternal bound keep-sake
but my mind,body, and soul not yours to take.
You play your part and I'll play mine with fight
A classic battle of dark vs light.

Subjugate

It was never about what you said, it was what you didn't
The lack there-of, my uncomfortability, space permitted

It's the subtleties a calmness before my storm
A mystery in a wonderland, that makes me burn above the norm

The silent watcher, tough lover, a most valuable teacher
never the doubter, observer, and never the preacher

Capable with those eyes that watch me move, they learn
to be able to disassemble me with ease, that simple of a turn

With hardly any effort, I find myself defeated and bound
tied to you in sweet constriction, in hopes that maybe I'm found

A curiosity that can't be stemmed, it feeds on my heart, it rips
to think of nothing but this, to have you whisper my name, a kiss upon my lips

That feeling shakes through the center of me, your presence it demands
the fight lost, walls crumble, my obedience moves under your command

It was never what you said, it was through each and every glare
that lit my fire, stayed my hand, desire from every stare

It's the way few words can say so much, the chivalry I knew
only scratches the surface on how I have come to fall for you.

Past, Present, Future

Im going to crash, I can feel the descent, I'm falling
It's weightless with nothing left to fear, and yet I hear you calling.
Looking around at my own mess
at the frustration, the damn stress
Yes I'm faithless, I'm scared, defenseless when I cry
When I'm screaming, so tired, I begged of it, please don't die.
Its on deaf eyes and blind ears
that you could trash all those years
I seemed to lose the power of speech
you slowly slipped from my reach
and when you closed your eyes at night
surely you knew that I was in the right

Listen to the soft beat, the tick tock
we were running out of time on that clock
Because I couldnt keep running that race
alone, left to suffer and fall from grace
By your hand, your lips, and you lied
When it happened, look back to see why it died
So kill it with the threats, I called your bluff
side my step, off with the gloves, we did get rough
On your treason, it was my reason and wasnt just me
your hands, their bed, that love is dead, not one but three!
Abused all that I had to give, willingness to hold it back
because I knew with you my heart would fade to black
and now in my reflection, pieces of you are with me
that memory, that time, cant retrieve, I'll never be free
A lesson I could have lived without, but I leave you with this
Remember and eat what you've grown, let this be my final kiss!

Little Wonder

I feel you there a pulse that grew, gaining speed
Im curious, your a subject, to my little wonder you feed
It seems a place for us to dream, where we can try
A reason to smile, help stem the tears when we cry
Happy to roam and choose, searching the treasure through
Needing, wanting, on my side, pleased to get lost in you.

It's failing, it's slowing, closing, shutting down
I'm here your there but can no longer find common ground
Your up I'm down there's no escape
Just a face I see but cant really relate
How did it get to be so cold and bare?
To the point where I give up, no longer care.

Homosapien

I feel it digging, deep under the flesh
behind my eyes and in my mind I confess
Lost to wander the vastness of my own mind
surrendered willingly unable to communicate with my own kind
Broken crown to match my broken mask
To only hear you question me whats the matter? you ask
Envisioned myself that twig, snapping I heard it crack
Lost all speech and thought thrown off track
You say black and I'll say white
I'll case my point to prolong that fight
Who's wrong and who was right?
You didn't have to outcast me from your sight
Oh look at me I sit so ********' obedient just like you wanted
Left to speak to no one but myself, surely I am Haunted
By your convictions and reasons, yes yes they always add to an answer
Say your sorry's blah blah blah, ever my romancer
Deep sigh and I roll my eyes
I'm not some ******** prize!
So here I go back to the pen
To wake up and run that race again
So that way you can turn around and complain
and add to my humanity, my pain.

Hold my hand and guide my way,

A fleeting memory that fueled my desire,

Dr. Martin lace-ups rebel against the norm.
Dancing in the rain without a real care, innocence bequeathed.
Basement agendas and garage gatherings, the echo of youth in days gone.

Here

It's cool to take the hits sometimes, add a battle scar to the keep
She's a lone wolf with both eye's always over her shoulder
It sound like the ocean every time her heart breaks

Here's a band aid, here's a calling card, here's a tip of the ol' cap for the misfits

Skipping sidewalk cracks but aiming for the puddles she's the black sheep
yeah she's the one to hate your sanguine and leather paradigm with a smoulder
absinthe kisses shes violently happy and will do whatever it takes

Here's a knife write a letter, here's a needle, here's coin to pay for your way down

The devil folds he's lost his hand trying to achieve the seemingly feeble soul
She's a straight shooter with a near militant mind, hard to be tough
It feels like heaven when her tears fall, they'll all be alright

Here's a moment, Here's a hope chest, here's your golden ticket to heaven

Falling upwards she can barely catch her breath, the battle ensues to stay whole
Is there anything she can do right by you? Is it ever gonna be enough?
Here's a bag of salt, here's a shield from the stones, Here's a song for the plight
