hello everyone! i haven't been here since 2010 so i still have to get used to this stuff again but i thought i'd take a chance on the forums

anyway, here's a poem i've been thinking about all day at school. please feel free to offer any thoughts or criticisms and what not! thank you c:

i,
beneath the sky (so high),
i long for you, (for you, for you)
but often dreary, hearing, finding more than meets the eye

my heart, with long enduring dread (hung on a thread),
discovers your endeavor (never)
frays to the unsaid.
wouldn't you think that one would offer mercy for the dead?

mercy for the broken,
mercy for the free (for me).
the merciful outspoken always
hide behind a plea.

but this time i'll be ready
no rest to stop the paltry (lies)
but when i find you sighing, prying, crying,
yes, i die (inside).
