Welcome to Gaia! ::

"I think they are out and about, waylaying and all such."

Peregrinus would suddenly come into existence beside Dirk.

"The navigation crystals are set around the wheel. They appear as an 8-panaled hologram room around it. However one can merely walk through the hologram images. When standing at the wheel, one can then see in any of 8 directions for as far as the world expands. Right now, my owl is keeping watch."
+As Pat appears beside him and speaks his part, Dirk nods lightly+

"Good to know, they will be such a help to this crew, just as you have been"

+Turns to face him+

"Did you have any trouble with Blackbeard the other night?"
Peregrinus shook his head.

"Not really, seemed a good compliment to my wizardry to be honest."

He laughed.

"Though I do believe we shall be at odds with how things ought to be done at times."
+Dirk nods, his emerald green eye squints lightly as he looks to Pat+

"Now.....When it comes to combat, how will you contribute to the battlefield?"
Peregrinus Aster Tergiversatio pointed to a look-out nest. On his finger tip appeared a bright white light.

"Well, in several ways good sir. Remember to always trust me."

A stream of positronic lightning would shoot forth and blow the nest and its mast to be bits.

"Heh."

He would swinging around while concentrating on something else, then his staff would end pointing at the bits of wood still flying through the air. It would become as new, though it had never been struck.
"Interesting..."

The spell which had transported him from the city had well taken him to te ocean blue; he didn't know his exact coordinates but then again he didn't have to; just walking around in the water as if it were cement was his fancy but should he be moving around out there with sharks and things; who cares?

After all, on the horizon was some port city; so it couldn't be far off... right?
+Pat's display of power didn't impress Dirk much, but was a pleasent surprise. As the lookout tower and mast re-construct themselves, Dirk glances back over to Pat+

"So your impressive at long range, how about close range?"

+Dirk glances out in the distance at a light glimmer, he wasn't sure what it was, but figured it'd be best to allow it to come closer+
"It helps that I know when my enemy is nearing. I can do close range quite well. I would show you, but I don't care to hurt you."

The Astral wizard pointed out.

"Positronic lighting can blow most things to bit. I can also create ice and fire from my hand, and my staff does a good job of close range defense as well. As long as I can still think, it's rather difficult to take down a wizard."
"Eh, I hate fish." How much more obvious could one be then that? So he walked towards a place that he most likely disliked; of course something caught his attention and that something was regenerative energies of an unnatural sort; something was rebuilt using metaphysical means. Taht startled him a bit due to the fact that whatever was being "rematerialized" was not of the flesh nor any kind of flora or fauna.

A look out into the distance and a little "dash" and less then a mile from the port he watched the miracle of some sort of substance on a boat put itself back together. Someone powerful must have been on the boat since there was no actual disturbance within the air; in other words the boat had acted without activation meaning it was either enchanted or tied to someone's will of which the second was much more frightening and dangerous than anything at all.

Edging closer to this boat in port he was quiet, not to hide because he could and would be detected by now if what he thought was true was really occuring, but rather so as not to disturb or startle the one who was in charge of the vessel which drifted in elegance upon glossy seas. Even the gulls dare not fly over this boat often; the pattern of fish underwater was also obscured by the massive thing's presence.

Something was definitely wrong...
+Pat's words sparked something in Dirk's expression, the words "Hurt you" made Dirk laugh abit, the laughter then turned into a sturdy "ehem"+

"......Right. Well I'm gonna go find Lenne, I had the cooks prepare some dinner for the crew, but nobody's around right now....It's all for you bud!"

+Dirk then proceeds to walk towards the lower quaters when that glimpse caught his eye again. Dirk sighs softly as he walks over to the east end of the ship. His dirty gray hair swayed softly in the twilight breeze. Dirk squints as he looks out into the distance, the figure was comming into view+

".......?"
The wizard merely raised his monocle to the laughter. What one could do with the splitting of the atom and the dilation of time was not something that one flaunted. He had spoken sincerely and this was good enough.

"Food?!"
Peregrinus was off.
"That consciousness; that must be him..."

A smirk and the pumping of blood came back, feeling, there was the feeling that a match might be here; someone strong enough to at least scratch him. He'd hold back, he promised himself that, but at least to have that feeling and have his life in danger; oh to almost die!

A swift movement, a rocketing sound, a blast of energy, and a stillness. It wasn't amazing to cover half a mile and three stories in but a moment, but it was nice to be sitting atop the mast which reconstructed itself looking down at the man whom looked to be the captain by his stern stare.

"You. Who are you?" With those words a tumbling purposefully to the ground as he landed upon two feet though he should have landed upon none; amazing the way it was. He just stood in wait, fists balled as if he was ready to rumble. Even with the odds against him, there was nothing like a good toss up to make a man feel worth something again!
+The MOMENT the man took off, Dirk's emerald green eye was focused on him, like white on a snow storm. Emotionless, Dirk's emerald green eye followed the man as he dropped to the deck. Dirk's red scarf flowed softly in the twilight breeze, his dirty gray hair fell before his only eye, that peircing emerald green eye. Then, almost at once, Dirk's expression became light, and as he spoke a hint of sarcasm could be heard in his voice+

"Oh please sir! I'm just a lowly pirate! Nothing special here! Your free to take what you want off the ship..."

+Dirk's light expression then turned to a serious snap+

"Including your sorry a**"

+Dirk smiles+
Peregrinus trips and hits the deck floor as he goes to look at the newcomer and Dirk.

"Hate when that happens..."

The Astral Wizard picks himself up and watches, leaning on the staff.
"Well then! I cannot allow piracy; not that I care but you seem to be a little stronger than the other Gaians. Your tormenting other people shouldn't even be a possibility, so here I am to put an end to you! I was sent by the Heavens, the Earth, and the Celestial Forces to eradicate you!"

Alot of lies, but that was soon changed by the noting of that green eye; out manuveuring him wouldn't be impossible if he used clones, lighting techniques, and illusions, but even if he could out move him it wasn't known if he could actually hit him. Who knew how his eye worked besides him and his trusted people's?

No time to think, never is, no weapon drawn there was only the charging towards the other man... No breathing required.
