Welcome to Gaia! ::

It wasn't so easy for Vincent. For once the Knight struck the ground, so too did his attack detonate, causing a massive destructive shockwave, which would dominate perhaps 3/4s of the island, and along with it, part of its land, for the attack had caused the West end to crumble, slowly breaking off the major landmass.

The attack was large enough to strike Vincent with almost a vicious shockwave of energy. He had acted like a self-missile, and it appeared even he was not unaffected, half of his armor was torn clear off, so that now Vincent could see the skull-like face underneath, the bared bones, and the hulking mass of flesh and rotting muscle.

Vincent was tossed backwards like a ragdoll. He flipped a couple dozen times, as he tried to keep his own power over himself although failing horribly and falling onto the ground. The Accuser slid through the ground; parts of his suit ripping off, and his sunglasses came off. His eyes were changing rapidly. Faster than usual. Vincent wasn't exactly used to the feeling that he was getting from it. It was quite familiar, and because of this familarity his mind raced.

His quick-paced mind kept most of his more solid psychic moves up and running, despite the attack that wreaked his body. That would include the wall in front of the snake's mouth. Hopefully, that much would go well because Vincent was hurt, and it was obvious from his non-stop coughing, along with the blood that came out of his mouth. This wasn't right. This wasn't suposed to be real. It was all imaginary, or atleast that's what Vincent would like to tell himself.
Anything the Doombringer imagined was sure to be more real than any physical counterpart it had. The Knight had stopped in its tracks, the snake, who was used to continually bobbing, felt the wall and stopped in all curiosity, knocking upon it repetitively with its tongue.

The Knight, now bared and bloodied with black lacquered oilish liquid, reached over and regripped its Pata.

It had one more move.

Raising the Pata high above its head, the Knight gathered energy upon its point, like it had once done with its body, until enough concentrated efforts had caused it to immediately crash downward into the dirt, the shockwave was the first thing, then the massive crevasse. It reached downward from one end of the island, all the way to Vincent was, South. It would shatter the land mass in two, causing it to split and collapse upon itself, into the empty space.

The Knight, losing its balance, had fallen down, and though Vincent could float, it would not be for long when his mind became too strained to keep up the rouse. He had only one alternative, to exit.

Which, in all the efforts made, would've been the point.

Codger

((Damn, thought I had replied last night. >.< wink )

Between screams of pain that slowly grow hoarse and fade into gravely moans he takes gasping breaths for air. This nameless man seems unaware that the Doombringer had even approached him, and was only partially aware he had been dropped to the ground. He begins to calm, however, when he realizes that he can indeed move his left arm and furtheremore that it seems to be entirely intact. The ability to move the rest of his body slowly causes the realization that he must not be nearly as injured as he had supposed. His voice is little more than a whisper once he calms, "What is happening to me...?"
(Seems Tac has got you busy for the time being.)
[Suppose, well, at your leisure.]

Belial reached over to him, so that her fingers wrapped around his, and in a slow, groaning shift, the Earth beneath them began to move. She wanted to have a better grasp, in case he could not support himself, for the next move she made would require more strength he would probably have.

For as they suddenly found themselves vaulted upwards, the man and Belial would see that they no longer stood upon solid ground, but upon the hunched back of something living. As dust and rock crumbled to the ground, Belial held onto the man, on the very peak of the beasts' curved spine, where they would be safe from fall, and where she would move him upward to a small box area where he would be allowed safety from falling, similar to riding an elephant.

As she stood, fingers wrapped around the edge of the box, as her beast, Ibril, began its slow trudge into the Malebolge, she turned down to the man, and waited.

Vincent saw no point to continue the fight any further than he was supposed. Apparantly, he was much to weak for the gaurdian of The Doombringer's mind. The Accuser would have to try coming back in later when he was "feeling" better. So, rather than being entirely destroyed by the Knight's next attack, Vincent disappeared from the island, and found himself back in his body in Under Antenora.

First, he fell onto his knees, and coughed up actual blood. Even though the blood within Belial's mind was as real as could, but it was obvious that his wounds from before weren't there.
Edward watched as Our Lady summoned her Ibril and marched away through the Malebolge. He couldn't figure out just why he had been brought out here. Perhaps to watch the corpse-man awaken? The Admiral didn't know, and really didn't have any reason to question. His feet moved himself back into the Antenora. His senses flared, picking up the Accuser within Under Antenora. He proceeded downwards, hoping to find some conversation besides the muteness that was The Doombringer.

He stepped into the 'Judging Room', as he called it, and immediately found Vincent bent over with blood upon the floor.

"Sir, is everything alright?"
The Judecca Stronghold's Poltergeist went by the name Valmont. Well, that was what Vincent told everyone he was called. To people who have lived in Judecca for a while; seeing Valmont would become something that one becomes acustomed to. Within the stronghold, the towers, or the Malebolge it is common to find a man dressed in white appear and disappear. No one really knows why, not even Vincent, Valmont rapidly teleports himself to different parts of the area the Judecca vacated.

Valmont would appear to people, giving them a breeze, and whether or not the seer was fast enough they may be able to catch a glimpse of the sad man before he'd leave. This would be the case with Flaherty, as the library would be filled with a cold way below normal temperature, and Valmont would teleport in and out of the room whilst in Flaherty's field of vision.

"Yes," It was a snakelike voice. The kind you'd recieve from a person that would stab you in the back the moment you'd turn around. The Accuser was no traitor though. At least not to this cause. His index boney and sickly looking index finger pushed his sunglasses up his nose. Vincent stood up slowly and attempted to keep a smile on his face, whilst hold back coughs. The smile was nothing of affection seeing as he only had affection for one person in the world, but he liked Nelson as he liked most members of Judecca. All members of Judecca had something in common. They live for the Doombringer.

"It's fine, Admiral. Do you happen to know where Be... The Doombringer is?"
"She stormed off into the Malebolge on Ibril carrying with her a near-dead corpse that The Magristrate drug from the Malebolge. Maybe she was carrying it back to the outskirts? I don't know."

The Admiral studied Vincent, through both the physical and the spiritual. The cambion as he was, Nelson could see and feel the energy within and coming off of Their Accuser. He noticed that he was weakened, slightly, not just the blood on the floor, but his energy itself was drained. Apparantly something had happened here. Did it have to do with the Doombringer?

"Milord, what happened to you?"
"Ah, I see, and you just happened to be fine with leaving her alone with THAT corpse."

Vincent did not speak in an angry tone, nor in a bitchy one. This was more of a lesson. You NEVER leave the Doombringer alone. Even if it is with Ibril or any of her gaurdians. It was obvious that Vincent, being so protective of Belial, did not trust any of her demon companions. The Accuser dugged his hands in his coat pockets, as his dropped cigar from before floated towards his mouth, and he puffed on it.

"Nothing. I just dove into the Doombringer's mind again and got tossed around."
Edward, on the other hand, considered Belial to be completely able to take care of herself. Although her body was like a child, her mind and her abilities were of the Gods.

"I think she had plenty enough control considering the corpse was pretty much incapacitated as far as mental due to amnesia or something. I'm not sure, because I couldn't hear much of what was said by the Magistrate to the corpse."

Nelson frowned as he tried to remember, but then shrugged it off, he returned to his reason for entering.

"Ah, how bad? Well, looks pretty bad, but I mean in comparison?"
Vincent was well aware of the Doombringer's power. Out of all of the Judecca members; The Accuser had been the one that met her first, and he had also been the one that accepted her as the supreme leader of Judecca. That meeting was still fresh in his head and he could find himself dreaming about it at night. Her voice was saved in his memory banks from that day because from the time they had met and where they currently stood. Belial had hardly ever spoken a word to him. It wasn't really needed because their minds were tied in knots.

"You never leave The Doombringer alone," Vincent walked forward slowly, decreasing the distance between the two with each step. "Despite the fact that she may be the strongest being in this world that can be called human."

Vincent was brought back (mentally) to the topic of Belial's mind. That Knight, like said beforehand, was extremely tough. "It was bad, but good in the long run. It gives us proof." The Accuser walked past the Admiral, and began his trek towards the Malebolge. "Proof that she is truely amazing."

He gave a startled gasp as the ground shifted and rose, his eyes focusing to glance around quickly, gripping the Doombringer's hand tightly. A crawling sensation began to work up the base of his skull as he stood atop a mighty beast marching into combat. Before him stretched an endless sea of demons and monstrosities while what seemed to be an elephant of steroids bellowed out a battle cry underfoot. Raising a hand he called out, ordering a charge against the enemy lines, which seemed to be no different from his own, if not much more chaotic in formation. His beast began to charge, his own form crouching low as he seemed to relax, almost comfortable upon the back of the great beast. He closed his eyes as his fingers relaxed, his voice recovering quickly, "Where are we going?"
"Really?"

Admiral was intriged, but left on his own as The Accuser treked off on his own. Why bother him? The man is just going after the Doombringer. Perhaps something else might be going on around here? No matter, it's not my question to ask. Edward kept to his own and stepped out of the Meeting Room and into Inner Antenora. He stood their for awhile, lost in thought, watching as Vincent disappeared out of Antenora and into the Malebolge.
