Story

In this world, many creatures exist. But there is one type that is considered the most dangerous to the living world: Hollows. A Hollow is an evil spirit, born from a wandering dead soul whose Chain of Destiny corrodes after a while of being left alone, or not sent to their rest. After their unfortunate transformation, they gain white grinning masks onto their face, said to hide the fact that they have lost their heart. Their only instinct is to feed on other souls and cause destruction in the living world.

But there is an opposition that makes sure souls make it to their final resting place before they become Hollows, and purifies already turned Hollows to have them travel there, as well. But those who have sinned much in their life will descend to Hell. Soul Society is who they are and they are a group of shinigami, Death Gods, who do such deeds as to relinquish the living world of the dead with the power of their zanpakutou, swords that do such tasks. But if a Hollow is killed by anything other than a zanpakutou, the soul entirely perishes. This causes a slight unbalance in the world. If this continues, the world will collapse upon itself, ending all life.

Therefore, to assist with helping out this province of the world, one shinigami has created what is known as the Hollow Hunting Club. As the name suggests, the members of this club take their zanpakutou and hunt down the Hollows and dead souls to keep the universal balance of the living and the dead.

Description & Defences

The Hollow Hunting Club rests a few miles east of Kakura, a normal residential city that seems to have constant Hollow attacks against the civilians there. The club rests on a high hill which is surrounded by miles and miles of trees, yet is not viewable unless one was underneath all the foilage that the trees overcast onto the forest. The building is one story, but covers a lot of ground area, up to one hundred and fifty yards in width and length. It appears as a regular dojo with all the necessities.

Inside, there lies a simple network of halls or rooms, able to slide here and there to open into other halls. But rooms only have on way entries to secure privacy. The area one walks into is second to the largest in size, as the first largest is the open sparring room that lies in the northwestern part of the place. The flooring is wooden within this dojo and the walls white and plastered. However, the construction of this dojo was spiritually enforced by kidou specialists during building, so this dojo can take a good number of attacks before starting to fall. The kitchen area and the dining area are in the center of the building. In all, this is no different from a normal dojo one would see in Japan or China.

As for housing, the dojo is split up into different sections where each division is placed. Division 1 is placed in the eastern part of the dojo, Division 2 in the northeastern section, Division 3 in the northern section, Division 4 in the northwestern section, and Division 5 in the western section. So far, this will help in keeping the divisions in their own quarters, but plans are underway for individual buildings to be built to house each division and leave the main dojo for meetings and other interactions between the divisions.

However, it has an underground area that is five hundred yards underground, given access by going down a ladder that exists in the behind a statue in the main dojo. After traveling down this long passage, one will arrive at an underground area that is as big as a stadium, seeming to be two hundred yards in length and width. The ceiling looks like the blue sky with rock as the main terrain. This is used as a place for people to train on a larger scale.

Three miles from the club is a radius that is protected by a spiritual barrier. On ten trees in this imaginary circle is a paper with the writing of a spell, which creates an invisible dome that covers over the area it has been designated to protect. Only when they are destroyed will one be able to progress further. However, one with strong spiritual force can easily walk through, as those with little to no force cannot pass at all, unless they find and destroy the ten pieces of paper. However, even this is a trivial task, as they can only be found by a person willing to search the entirety of each tree, and at first, has the knowledge of spell-bonded paper being the cause of the barrier.

Two miles from the club, the same defense is used. Only this time, there are only five of these papers, due to the reduction in size of the next dome. And one mile from the club is the final barrier, with only three of these spell papers as its links.

All the barriers are easily broken from the inside. Only a person who is wearing a special badge designating them as a member of the club can transpire the barriers with ease. Anyone who is touching a member with their badge can also walk through. The last line of defense would be the members themselves, or the first, depending on if a shinigami is currently patrolling the forest, which is very often. When a spell paper is destroyed, it regenerates in one day, in roleplaying time.

Rules

- Obey all of Gaia's rules.

- No godmodding. I know what goes on in this forum so if I see anything that is considered "unfair" in common terms, such as nuke-like magic in one turn or other frown-upon techniques, I'm voiding your attack and either will ask you to try again or simply nix you completely. Not something favored, but necessary.

-This is a serious rp. It is likely for your character to get killed if you are not able to rp properly and fight properly. Therefore, it is a recommendation, not a must, that you be at least semi-literate. A Hollow attack or an attack from outside forces can come any point so be prepared.

- When you register, your character can already have a zanpakutou, a sword that slays souls. For those who do not know what a zanpakutou is: it is a sword that contains a spirit of some sort which represents the power of the user. It looks like a normal katana, but this can change when its power is released. In order to unleash its potential, one must release its shikai and bankai. The definitions are as follow:

Shikai - This is called the first release of one's sword. The sword may change in shape in someway, but this change signifies a gain of a special ability for the user. For example, the sword may change into a whip-like blade for more maneuverability or simply keep shape, but release sound waves that puts all around them to sleep. This level of release is activated by saying an action that relates to what the sword's ability is followed by its name. Example: Ignite, Flame causes my sword named Flame to ignite in fire. Be creative.

Bankai - This is named the final release of the sword. It is activated by saying only one word:" Bankai." This is said to be the most powerful version of one's blade. The final result can vary for each person's weapon, but usually bankai manifests the sword's spirit in someway or another. For example, returning to my Flame sword. Saying Bankai will cause a flame like armor to materialize over my body while my sword turns into a living flame. In this form, I am not only more powerful, but all fire can be absorbed to increase my power.

Please know, however, that if you are given a low enough rank, I will tell you that your character cannot know Shikai and/or Bankai until they roleplay here training their shinigami skills and compete in battles. It is then when I see quality from your roleplaying that I will decide if you can use Shikai and/or Bankai or not.

A man walks out of the dojo with a black open hakama over his body, bandages wrapped around his abdominal area, and a large sword wrapped in the same colored wrappings resting on his back, the six foot sword almost as tall as he, looking like some butcher's knife. Kurosaki Ichigo, age 16, a boy who looked older than his age signified, had one day decided to create a place on Gaia that will assist with Soul Society in taking down Hollows. And recently, these Hollow attacks have been increasing, with the appearances of stronger Hollows and Arrancars. But it was worser when you now had the threat of non Hollow foreigners existing now, but Ichigo wasn't going to let something like that ruin his time here. If anyone was going to be doing any damage, it was going to be him.

A man made his way quite casually through the forest to the dojo style building, simply walking through the barriers as he made his way.

((Yeah, I'll go ahead and do that. I knew I was lacking something.))

Kurosaki looks around as he starts to walk forward, deciding to go one some patrol or see if he can run into anything that'll prove a challenge to him. Yet, it was always good to not have anything fight against him, but all the same, it was necessary if he wanted to clear the world of these consistent beings.

His ears picked up the sound of nearby footsteps on the crisp grass; naturally, as anyone would, he began to head toward the noise. From the pattern of movement it was most likely humanoid.

(( Basically, whoever joins the Hollow Hunting Club will be unknown to ichigo at first. But as long as you show your given badge (which we will assume was given to you by the appropriate officials), then he'll recognize you as a friend. ))

Ichigo would pick up the sound of the person approaching him, with only a tree in the way of his view. His sandals come to a stop as he looks forward, awaiting for the one who was coming closer, due to the sounds they were making with their trekking. His right hand comes to the handle of his blade, but does not draw it yet.

Jyou stops, when the other sounds stop.
He simply stood for about 5 seconds, giving whoever else was there a chance to talk; but, he decided to make the move.

" Hey. Who's there? "

He glanced around some, though, his arms and hands remained calmy at his sides.

"You tell me," Ichigo answers, his right hand still keeping a grip on the handle of his sword. He face was naturally in a frown, his eyebrows angled down to show this. He wasn't in this mood as his expression said, but he wasn't very far from it.

His eyes roll slightly, and he sighs.

" Whatever... Captain, 3rd division, Jyoushin. "

'Whatever' was very toned down, and was not meant for Ichigo to hear it, though, it wouldn't be too hard for a normal human to hear.

[Kurosakii Ichigo]

"You new?"

Kurosaki was told that he would receive letters stating who joined and whatnot, but he had yet to check them, being the guy he was. He walks around the tree, finally coming into view, removing his hand from his sword as he looks toward his new employee. "So, a captain, huh? Just call me Ichigo. No matter what I say, people always tend to refer to me as that. Bunch of idiots."
