{Which is excellent for me, since I've never been able to fight and can only "plot RP."}

SabaDrith had left Rock Fist a little over two weeks ago. In that time Josie had severed her tie from the place as a doctor severs the umbilicus between mother and child. She would go back eventually -her world had grown too small and her friends too few to stay away- but until that time she was a wanderer. Whatever had possessed her to leave in the first place was the same inescapable urging that had dulled her eyes to a clear gray in the dark places of the world and ruined her first marriage (so she felt, and suffered a guilt that was not entirely hers to feel). Undoubtedly the eternal cheerfulness that this woman-child professed was genuine, but there was a layer beneath that that had its own subtle, dark attraction. Not demonic, not monstrous... just human. Just a deeply disturbed woman.

So when Josie heard the tell-tale creak of the front door re-opening (she had, in fact, passed through that long-unused portal just ten minutes ago) she immediately flattened herself against the wall of the corridor she was down. Not that Death could have seen her from where he was. No, there was quite some distance between them and a few corners to round before they would meet. There was no way for her to know who it was that had wandered into the long-empty Dojo, but in her paranoia she rather thought that the coincidence of a second person being here was too unlikely. She took a few steps further, and when a doorway opened to her back Josie ducked inside. Had she been more clever she might have noticed that her steps had left obvious footprints in the dust, but she didn't.

{What are you talking about? You mean RPing? This place has been inactive for a long time: I only posted because Death did. If he doesn't reply...}
Death looked around the dojo some since it had been so long since he had been here. He then turned his attention back to the footprints in the dust on the floor.

"I wander who is here."

He said to himself as he began to follow them making his own footprints as he walked. He made his way to the first hallway. He rounded a few corners still following the footprints. He then came to another corner where the prints seemed to shuffle some as if the person who they belonged to duck around the corner. His electricity in his eyes was still present with a slight buzzing sound echoing through the halls as a blue light emited from his eyes.
hey nice topic !!! pretty hoopty though...final fantasy is totally outrated and expired...grow up kids... xp

In the depths of her paranoia the soft blue glow in the hall convinced Josie that she was being followed, and that it was not a coincidence that someone should appear in the abandoned Dojo at the same time she did. There was no distinction between friend or foe for her, though if there had been she still wouldn't have remembered the peculiar eyes of her old friend Death. For fear of being found Josie scurried to the far wall, upsetting a chair and almost falling on her face in the dark. Her hand happened to brush against the edge of a table and caught against something sharp that she immediately recognized for glass. Broken glass, at that. Before Death had reached the open door she had found a large piece of it and closed it in her fist, either oblivious to the pain or too far gone to realize that her hand was being cut. She hid it behind her back and stood staring at the doorway.

{Wow. I can be a little twisted, eh?}
As Death walked down the hallway he was looking down at the foot prints following them when he heard something break or something falling over. He then realized that who ever these prints belonged to was still here and not that far away from him. He rounded the corner and saw the open door and small shards of glass on the floor reflecting back at him from the light that came from his eyes.

He wasn't really sure if he should walk into the door way or not since he wasn't sure who or what was on the other side. Just to be prepaired he would unsheath one of his katanas and hold in front of him in a ready stance. He would then round the corner of the door to face who ever was on the other side.

At first she hesitated between lunging for her stalker and staying where she was, but the sound of a blade being unsheathed decided her. A desperate, furious shriek would escape her as Death rounded the corner, the sound more like that of a harpy than the voice of the mild-mannered woman it belonged to. Josie closed the distance between them -it wasn't much, this being one of the smaller first-floor bedrooms- and with the glass shard she held made an ill-aimed attempt to slash out his eyes. She did not pay attention to her aim because her eyes were on the katana her attacker (as she now viewed him) held out before him. Josie's intention was that he would be forced to back up enough for her to slip out, which she tried to do even as she took a swipe at him.
Death backed up some as he saw the shard of glass comeing at him he moved just enough to get out of the way of the slash. He then recognized who it was and tried to grab ahold of her to calm her down as he tossed his katana to the floor, but he didn't know if he could or not it had been so long since they had seen each other.

"Josie! It's me Duncan."

Which was his real name only those that hung around the dojo enough knew this as his real name. He hadn't seen anyone from the dojo in a long time.

She thought she had succeeded up until the moment where a strong grip closed on her shoulder. Josie was spun around and now faced the one who'd found her, who dropped his katana to the floor with a clatter that echoed in the empty halls. Her surprise at being recognized turned to suspicion as she saw who it was who had followed her this far; Death, less commonly known as Duncan, had found her. Not a word escaped her lips as she stared at him, her paranoia obvious in her gaze. Recognition, too, was there but at the moment was the less dominant of the two.

Under further inspection Josie was in noticeably good health. Her hair was unkempt and her face smudged with the dirt of the place, but she did not look like someone who had missed any meals (that is, her slim build was not from starvation, but from the habits of someone who ate healthily). But the warmth had gone from her expression: without a smile or a sparkle in her eye she looked decidedly more mature than the woman-child whose cheerful disposition had earned her many friends. She was as skittish as a rabbit who had scented a wolf and had he not had such a tight grip on her would have been gone in a flash.
Duncan looked back into her eyes hopeing that she would calm down some. He figured that she recognized him at least alittle bit because she stoped her attack for the moment.

"Josie, It's alright. I'm your friend remember?"

Duncan asked as he still held on to her shoulders with a slight smile on his face hopeing that it might help some. The electicity in his eyes disipated for the moment so that his real eyes would show. He would try anything that he could think of that might help her calm down some. The buzzing from the electric flowing through his body though was still present because he cant stop it from being there.

It wasn't that she didn't remember him; she had never been caught on one of her "ventures" before. Every few months that bright, cheerful persona needed a release, and so she went to places far off the beaten path. This time she had left under a great deal of stress, but more herself than usual. Instead of seeking out a place she'd never been -somewhere where she might be hurt, or lost, such as in the cave system- Josie had come here and expected to be alone for as long as it took her to come back to herself. But now Duncan had found her, and she didn't know what to do or what to expect from him.

Still unsmiling and staring at him as if he might have a hidden weapon somewhere on him, her voice was a low, dry rasp.

I do... but what are you doing here?

Suspicion reared its ugly head in her expression. Her eyes shifted from his face to the sword on the floor and back again as if to convey to him her own opinions.
