Welcome to Gaia! ::

"I do not envy you being her mother. She's going to be a literal demon when she hits puberty." Liana laughed freely, a weight off her shoulders. She smiled earnestly and fell into step beside Nami.

"So... was the whole point of the trip to get your arm fully mechanized?"
Nami laughed. The conversation changed to a bit more serious, and she was fine with that.

"Yes, sadly."

She lifted her left arm. It lifted with - or at least to Nami, having her arm metal a good portion of her life - ease.

"S'one thing that potion didn't cure."

But she made a smile, her pregnancy was bound to come up in the coming topic. Nami didn't want to brag, but she was seriously excited about being pregnant again, especially with Tieron's baby.

"You're glowing, by the way." Liana grinned and poked at the side of Nami's belly gently. "Must've been an interesting trip, going through the early stages of that while on the road." She sighed... she remembered a time when she thought she was in love with Tieron. She'd wanted him to choose her for so long, to take her into his bed.

She'd realised her mistake when she forced it on him. Then she realised she had a brother in him, not a lover. "You and Tieron are good for each other."
Nami smiled wide.

"Really? I mean, I knew I was excited and such. Its been so long. The hope ... and the miracle of being able to get pregnant alone was ... just so much. Then being pregnant again just added to it."

She let out a little puff of air from her nose and looked down and smiled as she walked. She turned a little bit pink in her cheeks. Nami could tell for some reason, this conversation was bothering Liana a bit. She'd proceed to respond to the last bit, and then probably drop it.

"I really hope he is. I care for him quite a bit. I've never trusted anyone quite like him. I don't know why. He broke me, like a wild mustang."

"There was a time when I thought he'd broken me too. I really thought I was head-over-heels for him... but he saw the truth before I did." Liana shrugged. Nami deserved to know. "I tried to force it on him... and ended up finding out how I really felt. I thought I was in love with him because he was like my older brother before he died... but it turns out all I really wanted out of him was a new brother." She cast a glance at Nami, wondering how she'd take that.

"Don't worry though, I don't plan on making any kind of moves on him. He's happy with you, and Tieron being happy was a rare thing up to now."
Nami nodded, listening to Liana carefully. After a moment of silence and thought busily in her own head she thought of a similar situation.

"Do you know Saiya, Tieron, and my link?"

She looked to Liana as they walked.

"The truth, the full story?"

"I highly doubt I know the whole story... but I would like very much to hear it. Even if I do, it'd be nice to know your side." Liana thought about the path ahead. It was a good ten minute walk from where they were to the dojo. At the very least they'd have time to get the story started.
Nami sighed.

"Before I was burned."

Nami started. She seemed to slow down a little bit as it started to hit her than SHE was now doing what she got mad at Tieron. So she continued hoping the feeling would go away, even a little.

"I was raped, and got pregnant with Saiya. I couldn't do it."

She took a deep breath inward.

"I ... I left Saiya, with my sister and her husband. She didn't know it was me - they'd been trying for a baby, and I knew that. My sister couldn't love her because she knew she wasn't hers. Saiya was troubled and frightened and when she hugged my sister, she died."

A tear dropped from Nami's eyes.

"Tieron found her, abandoned. He loved her, so he wasn't killed by the path that devils all follow. For devils, we have huge hearts."

Liana thought for a moment, digesting the information against what she knew from Tieron. Things lined up, and it also explained why she'd never been hurt by Saiya. She legitimately loved the kid, if as something of a neice than anything else.

"The man who raped you... do you know who it was?" A sudden thought hit Liana... there were some times when Tieron was a bit rougher than usual. "Was it Tieron?"
Nami violently shook her head.

"Hell no."

She snorted and said in her rebuttal quickly. She calmed and spoke.

"I ... would know if it was him."

She swallowed. Nami knew that Tieron wouldn't so something like that. She ... he ... he just wouldn't.

Liana nodded. She didn't want to think Tieron would ever be capable of that... but considering that one period he went through it was possible. Around the next bend the dojo came into view, with Tieron and Saiya nowhere in sight.

"They must be inside. Saiya's probably showing Tieron the little herb garden I helped her set up."
Nami smiled.

"Cute."

Nami wasn't 100% happy with the ... whole ... herb garden thing. She wanted to raise Saiya to grow and follow the way of being a devil, that she was. I mean, there were devil healers, but they used magic, not something that you had to carry. Nami's kind was known for steath, and quick fighting. In battle, they didn't have time for much else than magic. Though Nami knew, as Saiya would grow, she'd shed this ... cuteness, and become a terrible teen. She smiled at the thought.

"When she's older, if I'm still to be her tutor then, I intend to teach her about 'magic pockets'. The bulk of carrying potions around gets tiresome like you wouldn't believe." Liana giggled and shrugged, pulling a leather pouch off of her belt. It jingled slightly. "Everybody thinks I carry all my potions in this bag. All I actually carry in here is a few crystals. The bag is a gate to a magic pocket where I actually store my potions. Pretty damned useful."

Liana suddenly looked down at her feet, then back up again with this inquisitive sort of look. "She's your daughter though. You should really be the one to decide what she should learn."

((And no, that's not because of your post about devils and stealth. I've been sitting on this post for awhile.))
Nami nodded. She seemed to get a little down on the subject. She stay generally silent the rest of the way up to the dojo. Her eyes were lain upon the path that lead up to it. She felt a little sick, but she wasn't in the least worried. She let out a deep breath. Her head started swirling with thoughts and now aimlessly walking up the path, as if she already knew it, Nami traced the red laceration-looking marks all over the skin that was exposed with her eyes.

She shook her head, and before she knew it, Liana and she were at the dojo.
Tristan Annunziata wandered into the dojo, searching out Peppa Clause, stroking his chin.

"Lord knows where he is at all," he mumbled, wandering up a set of stairs. It had been a long while since he had been here. A very long while. Peppa probably had forgotten who he was, so maybe a third introduction is a charm?

He sighed and tapped on the hilts of his swords with his pointing fingers then rubbed his right arm then his left. This was a habit he had picked up from wearing long, baggy sleeves.
