As the final specialist entered the temporary base of operations, DataDyne's orbital base, a celestial stairway descended from the matterless vaccuum of space. It shot through the office building of the compound as if it were nonexistant, ending right in CEO Raven Yun's office.

A rectangular blue portal burst into existance at the top of the staircase, expanding to the size of a large doorway. If a curious creature were to look through the portal, they would see nothing more than a lifeless demiplane.

The lifeless void was closed as a tall, bone-thin creature clothed in ornate robes burst forward from the portal. Studded chains draped from his clothing, which seemed to make the person slouch over slightly. The God of Torment looked up.

It had no facial features. The only way in which it resembled a human being was the fact that it had a bodily structure like one.

As the Patron of Pain descended the staircase, its form began to change into its avatar, Raven Yun. A tall, lanky man in casual clothing with fiery red hair was soon walking instead of the intimidating featureless demipower.
