In the society you're told when who you love, where you work, and when you die. The Society decides everything for you. Your life is mapped out for you. You're grateful that you were born within the Society. You live a long, healthy, fulfilling life. Unlike what people faced before the Warming. They didn't know when they would die; illness or injury could end their lives in a matter of minutes. They didn't know who was the perfect mate for them; they could spend years looking and looking, passing the prime age to bare children. The people of other civilizations before the Society were overwhelmed by art and music, trivial things that, thanks to the Society and Hundreds Selections, have been narrowed down to just a handful. Enough to keep culture within the Provinces but not enough to be distracted by. They were also overwhelmed when in came to school and work. Now, learning is specialized. A nutritionist doesn't need to know how to fly an airship. People are happy and healthy and life is as perfect as it can get thanks to the Society. You're well taken care of here.

When you are born, your parents are given seven days to think of a name for you. On that seventh day, a group of Officials come to your door, type out the name your parents have chosen to give you in your family's port that is placed in the foyer of your home, and you are given a tablet that replaces old civilizations' immunization shots. This day is known Welcoming Day. The day the Society recognizes you as a citizen. The day your journey starts. Over the next few years, you will be given rights of passage alongside other children of the Society. You'll grow up comfortably in your borough and go to First School to learn basic skills. Eventually, you'll be given responsibility of carrying your own pills. Something only citizens can do. First, you are given a blue pill. It can keep you alive for a few days with water. Next is the green pill. Taken, it will relax you and calm your nerves. Lastly, you are given a red pill. Few know what it really does. Some rumor it kills you, but truthfully it just erases your memory. You are not to take the red pill unless instructed by an Official. Otherwise it's to be on your person at all times in the metal tube along with the other two pills.

Once you are done with First School, you move onto Second School. Here you start to learn the specialized skills you will need for your final work assignment. While in Second School, your recreation hours are cut because you now start to train in for your final work assignment. This time is also very special because of your Matching. After you turn seventeen, you will fly, alongside your parents, older siblings, and other teens of your Province, to city hall to your Match Banquet. However, some chose to be single, the Match Banquet is an honored time. One night where Matchees get to dress up, look slightly different than the others, and discover the person who is perfect for them.

After a while you will leave Second School and you and your Match will leave your home borough or Province for your final work assignment. This is the life of a member of the Society. The Society took time and care when they made this perfect way of life. The life you will lead until you reach age 80 and have your Final Celebration where you are swabbed for a tissue sample in hopes of eternal life one day. No one questions the way of the Society. After all it knows best. Why would anyone give up a nearly perfect life?

That is the basic story of all Society members. As a citizen of Oria Provence, you don't see a need to doubt the Society. You've followed in the footsteps of everyone else, been just like everyone else. Until now.

Some of you know there is a war raging in the Outer Provinces. Some have seen the errors first hand. Some of you still think that the Society is perfect. But when Officials start to move in and crack down on rules, rumors start to fly. So the question is, are you going to sit back and ignore the obvious flaws of the Society? Or will you stand up, join the Rising, and risk becoming an anomaly?

                                                              I wish you optimal results.
