By this now, Felix dozed off a dozen times, wasting the day away. He acclimated to the change in time, which jet lagged his body and mind. At 0700 hours the following day, Felix lay awake in his bed. His vision drifting to the ceiling above him, brushed in circles with a rough edge to create a textured pattern, he tried to find the beginning of pattern. His military-grade wrist-watch began to buzz on and off. Felix knew what was on the agenda. It was a normal day of work in the company. Track, locate, and kill a target. Death didn't phase Felix anymore.
Three years prior, he received a call from his brother while on assignment in South Africa. Felix's brother informed him that his mother had died the night before in her sleep. She was battling cancer for over a year, and Felix never once found the time to stop in and say his final respects. When his mother finally passed, Felix was unphased. He didn't lose sleep. His final response to his brother, was.
"Okay, good luck." Those words rang with Felix for the rest of his life.
As he snapped out of his day-dream, he swung his feet to the floor. Felix was ready to go as he had never undressed from the night prior. He sat himself up, placing his combat boots onto the hard tile before him. He reached into his pocket, pulling out the car keys to the company supplied sedan. He held the lock and unlock button, starting the engine from above the garage, standing u p as he did so. Felix knelt down between the solid oak bureau and his bed to grab the black duffle bag that lay beside the bureau. As he stood, Felix swung the bag containing his MP5 around his shoulder.
Felix twists the doorknob slightly, pulling it open as he quietly shuffled out of his roof. There was not a sound with his step, a common practice for him. He twisted the doorknob as he shut the door to do so in a fashion that would not alert Vivian in the room across his. Felix slowly crept over to the door separating himself and sleeping beauty. He pounded on her door, quickler then a rapid firing machine gun.
"Get up V!" He exclaimed...
"It's time to go!"
