"Slash" is somewhat a novelty among the U.E.N.N. forces for his use of vibro technology... his skill lead to the weapons popularity and final incorporation in the
combined forces.

Red grimaced as the Rhino turned around and returned to pick up the hair-brained major upon the ground. This was highly irregular, but he was beyond the point of questioning things now. Logic and military discipline out the window.
As the shuttle turned around to pick up the Major upon the ground however, he 'had' to question.
'Who was in command of this ship anyways?'
A Petty Officer... Wait a second. Enlisted ranks were never made pilots.
Upon entering the shuttle, Red had merely shrugged off the idea of the symbol's and Latin etching's all over the interior.
Many a pilot would deal with his ship in such a fashion, trying to personalize it in some way to his own tastes. However, decorating the 'entire' interior with Latin phrasing and etching seemed a little over board none the less. Still he was not going to question it. Logic went wazoo in this mission. Who cares who the ship belongs to? Its not like ships are inspected on a consistent basis, its not like they were in the god forbid, 'military', and its not like there was any sort of professionalism here.
An enlisted Pilot explained 'a' 'lot'. Actually, it still did not explain it. Enlisted were not allowed to be pilots. That was an officer slot, or warrant officer.
Its like this guy was not even in the military!
Red glanced back over at the operative/Psion. His visage had changed, could she see into his helmet she might have noticed the shift to uncertainty in the legitimacy of her entire operation. If it was indeed even her operation. Or an 'operation' at all.
It was anything but professional.
There was something to be said for 'no man gets left behind', yes. 'However', this was ridiculous. There were plenty of other military human friendly forces upon the field that the Major could regroup with. What made him think he had the right to contact a shuttle, with a rescued VIP on-board, part of a critical mission to the success of the entire universe.
And what right did a pilot have to spin the ship around, go back, and pick up a lone soldier just because he got left. Not even left alone.
Red was about to voice his opinion. Thinking, "...I disagree with that call 'Petty Officer'..", into his com, yes, call the man's rank and future out. That was the key. But no... whats the point?
Red sighed.
Ships went down. Every day. Because pilots made calls like this. Stupid calls.
That is how people died.
Red tightened his fist and kept his mouth shut.
No, it was now to a point where human decency was in effect... if he did not call out the Petty officer.. (which was his duty because of the rank, his rank 'commanded' him to make helpful corrections to lower ranked troops)...
"..Petty Officer, that was a bad call... you realize what could happen." Red didn't need to go further than that, the Petty officer was a soldier, he could live with his call. He just needed to know it was disapproved of. It was not personal.
Red hoped the man would understand and be a better pilot for it. He had no doubt the man was skilled at what he did.
The Major was a different story.
"...You, sir, should know better than to flag this ship down." Was all that man got, or 'would' have gotten, as Red glanced at him from behind his helmet. Watching the boarding door open.
It was not a Captain's place to correct a higher ranked officer, he was simply stating his disapproval with a condescending glare.
Calls like that got people killed. Good, innocent people.

Few people know anything about "Slash", because those ghosts that work together do not speak of their brothers lightly.
