"Yes sir!" Azreal replied, making a slicing motion across his neck at the COMMS officer to cut the channel. It closed with a slight click. Azreala hailed a few fleet-less frigates into an ipromptu battlegroup and formed up in orbit above the planett, watching the cruiser as it broke orbit. He bagan issuing orders to but the port and starboard gun crews on standby.

This Mind would encounter the ship's dormant AI, which would lead the probe into the ship's system to a dead end and prevent it from activating any vital information. It also sent a message to the crew that an off-ship AI system attempted to access the ship's computer banks. Meanwhile, a message was sent to the Saphian forces thanking them for their support, and instructed them to shift their attention to the new Bane forces that were arriving and open fire on them. Meanwhile, the ship's crews were busy picking off the fighter craft attempting a suicide run on the ship. Their bombs would be vaporized by the particle shields and do little or no damage to the ship's hull. The rest of the three fleets were opening fire on the new Bane ships.

Azreal sent a short range COMM packet to Fort Cario from orbit.

"Captain Smith, assist Captain Gardener in defending the Triborg ship. Its what the Bane forces are after." Admiral Gates said over the com-channel that now included the Viribus Unitis.

Vice President Anderson was called into the a meeting with the military commanders of the Terran Federation. News of the attacks at Viero Prime had reached Terra Nova and it wasn't good news. Vice President Anderson entered the tactical command room that was located under the Presidental building in a bunker type facility under ground.

"What is this about?" VP Anderson asked as he entered the room.

Vice Admiral Gram was the one to give him the bad news about President Jason Ecks getting shot while on Viero Prime. Hitting the VP like a gun to the chest, he couldn't believe that the leader of the Terran Federation was shot.

"That's not all sir, we lost Vistro City in the attack as well. Admiral Gates was forced to nuke it from orbit as Infected Ones were spreading too fast for them to control. It appears now that what is left of the Bane ships are fighting to the death to destroy the Triborg cruiser that crashed." Vice Admiral Gram explained.

This news was something only the devil could bring and it could only get worse, another report came in about the four stations put in the Janto system were also destroyed by an unknown force, the same ships that holed the T.S.S. Defender.

Azreal ordered his four frigates to form a perimeter around the cruiser. His ship would rotate round the group, acting as a mobile bulwark against enemy fire. Red lights flashed on teh bridge indicating mulitple impacts. The hull reverberated as the templar returned fire.

Paul received the message, and smiled.
"COMM Officer," He inquired.
"Yes, sir?" COMM Officer Gates replied.
"Get us a link with the Last Templar. We need orders."
"Yes sir!"

President Jason Ecks was moved from surgery to recovery, having received the appropriate surgery and medicine. A message was relayed to the bridge, where Fleet Admiral Veila Panjirinanu had returned to. She transmitted a message back to Terra Nova to alert them that their President was in recovery and that he should be back in service in a week or two.

Within the light stream a Raven Wing strike force waited with its Remnants Flotilla. Both of them were eager and ready for their job, both forces ready to complete their jobs. Tensions were high within the ships as gunners and marines prepared themselves. Everybody was ready, all of them prepared to give their lives to achieve this task. They were only waiting for Admiral Mathorene's signal then they would come into the system and give everybody . . . .

The message that Captain Gardener sent was displayed on a side screen next to the Admiral at the tactical map.

"Captain, you are ordered to stay with the cruiser until all Bane forces are destroyed or gone from this system." Admiral Gates ordered.

A message came through from the Galactic Federation, it was about President Jason Ecks and that he was treated for his injury and would be fully recovered in a week or two. Vice President Anderson sighed with relief that the President was safe once again.

Tyler had received his orders from Admiral Gates on the space station and headed with the rest of the fighters to the location that they were to take. Arming his weapons, Tyler waited for the Bane forces to attack again.

The Avenger was taking a heavy pounding from one the bane ships.

"Ready to main cannon to fire and transfer control to my station! Ready to engines to flee to the far side of the planet!"

The rest of the Avenger's weapons continued to send wave after wave of fire at the other ships.

A small escort frigate in the First Fleet was destroyed when it accidentally got caught in the crossfire.

Paul received the message, and smiled.
"COMM Officer," He inquired.
"Yes, sir?" COMM Officer Gates replied.
"Get us a link with the Last Templar. We need orders."
"Yes sir!"

Azreal nodded to the COMM officer to set a channel to Captain Smith. "Captain." He said. "Get on the port side of the cruiser and boost you shield to full port. Use your broadside attacks to keep the enemy out of firing range. I'll do the same on the starboard. Order any escort ships or fighters you have to join mine on picket patrols to keep out enemy fighters and bombers!" Captain Azreal Gardener said into the coded channel to Viribus Unitis.

"Sir, we've just lost one of our taticatal frigates!" The Tatactical Officer shouted from his station near the bridge's main view-screen to the raised platform where Captain Gardener sat. Azreal leaned over the chairs right and said something to the navigation officer on his right. The officer nodded and the Templar lurched forward at 67% power to cast it's shadow on the starboard side of the cruiser. The Templar's starboar side had a strange look to it as the shield power was fully directed to that side of the ship. There were slight reverberations in teh hull of the Templar as the starboard heavy turbo lasers and normal turbo lasers sspat death at the Bane.
Suddenly there was a flash and the sickening screeech that could be heard all the way in the bridge. "Aft cameras!" Azreal shouted at the dazed officers. A view from above the ships engines kicked in on the main screen. Two dark shapes about 5000 klicks away were firing their heavy weapons at the Templar. "Sir, damage on rear starboard side, fires reported on decks 10-15. Enemy's scan as two Bane battle ships sir!"
Azreal cursed. He quickly composed a message to Fort Cario.

TO: FORT CARIO COMMAND
SUBJECT: ENEMY BATTLESHIPS
MESSAGE:
SIR, I'VE JUST BEEN ATTACKED BY TWO ENEMY BATTLESHIPS ABOUT 10,000 KLICKS AWAY. REQUEST PERMISSION TO LEAVE THE TRIBORG CRUISER WITH CAPTAIN SMITH AND ENAGAGE. THESE SHIP'S POSE A SIGNIFICANT THREAT TO THE CRUISER.

"COMMS officer! Tell the cruiser and Captain Smith that they are to menuver with us behind 1st fleet's battle line for extra cover." Azreal said. The COMMS oficer nopdded and sent the message.
