~The World Itself~
The world is divided into three continents, each a great variety of cultures and climbs, but each has a major 'era' that it takes its basis from, though technilogically they are virtually on par, they just get about things through different ways.

Cielo

Though technologically on par with the others, the architecture and countries of this continent are most definitely still heavily medieval in look, grand fortresses and castles litter the landscape, and many of the kingdoms are still led by monarchy.

Aracela

The Order's Fortress:
The Fortress of the holy order is vast, and lies set into the mountains overlooking a small plain that stretches out before it. The Fortress gates face east, Surrounded by a large wall with its western side completely closed in by the mountains along with a good part of the northern and southern sides. On the surface the fortress appears just like a Medieval castle, just inside the gates is a large courtyard, with an engraved slab of marble a its southern edge. West of this is the main keep, the largest and central of the buildings within, this containing the main library, usual amenities such as the kitchens and food halls, meeting rooms, and the quarters of some of the higher ranked members above. Just off the northern edge of the courtyard is a secondary courtyard, this one perfectly square and used for training and sparring, with Both the Barracks of the Sword on its northern edge and the Lodge of the Seeker on its Western edge. A crystal monument lies before the Lodge of the seeker, a body wearing brown leather clothing can be faintly seen within, and a large cross weapon has been set into the head of the crystal.

In the north-western corner behind the lodge is home of the stables, specializing in wildbirds as well as the conventional horses. Several towers are spanned around the walls, but the largest is at the Southern end, where the Tower of the Scroll lies, within most of the Order's magical activity and archives. Taking up a large portion of the Southern end of the Fortress is the second largest building, the Temple of the Heart, here where all of the anointing happens and also home of the infirmary and a clearwater pool just behind, set up by the monks of the temple.
Beneath The keep lies the Sanctum of the Watch, where both the Watchers are organized and the Crafters and Blacksmiths also make their home, beyond this being the newly discovered tunnels, that lead deep into the mountain to the strange Daeic Temple, where the silent protector resides.

Ameranthine

Looking like it is stuck in the Victorian era, Ameranthine is the home of steam technology and mad invention. Its skies are dominated by airships as they are the main method of travel, as well as the main weapons of war, which are often seen out due to the empires of Anayis and Ahkmyht being at war with each other.

Anayis
A society resembling victorian England, their empire based entirely around their monarchy, their capital city, known only as Central, is the heart of the empire and their trade

Central:
The heart of the empire, this city is sometimes known as Grand Central, or just Central and constantly bustling with activity as a capital would. Based around steam technology, the large city is rimmed by a wall to protect it, with a giant clockwork gate with a clocktower at it's head at the main entrance, with more standard gates at the others. the city sits at the head of a main river that leads to the coast, the Thames, and has a port for shipping, but is rarely used now. Travel in the city is mainly on foot or by horse-drawn carriage, but at times small gyrocopter-like vehicles are used by some of the extremely well-off residents and those from the tower. Automobiles exist, however they are still in the experimental phases, so are extremely rare to come across.

Docks:
Since the perfection of air travel, the city is the main hub of air traffic, with an extremely large docking tower in the industrial district, on the southern wall. It is bustled with hundreds of docking bays, gantry ways and inspection towers inside, and others on its outside too.

Palace: Parliament:
At the centre of the city by the river side lies the seat of power, the Palace, home of her majesty herself, and the Houses of Parliament.

Royal Society:
Near this this resides the second largest building in the city, a tower dedicated to the Royal society of knowledge, or just the royal society. This building is dedicated to cultivating the empire's top minds, and the upper floors are dedicated workshops, given to the scientists who receive their funding, and above this is the private royal docks.
- Knightley's workshop: A Vast workshop, at one end, the airship HMS Venerable is suspended within a maintenance cradle, panels removed here and there to access its innards.
The rest of the vast hangar-like workshop is taken up by another room built within, full to the brim with workbenches and tools as well as a large seating area with bookcases along the walls, all kinds of titles filling their shelves.

Oxford Street:
The foremost centre of shopping within Central, the shops and market stalls here stock a variety of products crafted here or imported from across the Empire.
- Knightley's Arabesque Curios: The small clock shop he bought when he was young, now full fledged and still going strong, it is from here he sells his dolls.

Ahkmyht
An almost foreign seeming country when laid alongside its neighbour, similarities can still be seen between the technology and culture from the days when the two traded peacefully, but the arms race between the two has formed a wedge between them.

Zetsubo-Chan
Night sat on the arc of the main gate, looking out over the landscape. He sighed loudly, enough to make anyone nearby notice him. He was here for a reason, simple. To see how the order would grow now that it had lost it's head. Would it continue on, in memory of it's leader to continue to make the world a better place? Or would it fall disorganized and eventually be forgotten until a new leader rose to this place to take up the name? He sighed again. He too, had felt the power of Vladimir, as he crushed Ancelot. And had even felt the death of Vladimir and Angelus, yet he had don nothing to stop it.

To each thing there is a beginning, "And to each thing there is an end." He would say aloud, before standing up and turning to look at the Order. "But your end, like mine, is too far along the line to truly tell, isn't it?" He would then take a step off the arc, falling the distance to the ground, and landing, soundlessly as if there was no fall at all. "Come, old friend, and tell me what your future holds." He said to the Order itself, though to anyone listening it would sound as if the man was crazy.

Then headed into the main building with intent to go to the guild leaders office, to bear the bad news to anyone who didn't already know. If he managed to reach there with out being stopped, he would sit behind Angelus's desk, in his chair. And there he would sit, waiting.

Alisa Zolner
Alisa had just come back from searching Ancelot, carrying a crystal tablet under arm as she did, with a grim expression marking her canine features. Her armor was nowhere to be seen, and she walked barepaw.

Despite her preoccupation, though, she was still on alert... And she found her gaze crossing with the face of a man she'd never seen before, a man who was headed towards the main keep. Her ears perked up as she forced all other thoughts out of her mind, rushing towards him at a spirited canter. "Hey! Hey, you, sir! That's a restricted area! Outsiders aren't allowed in there!"

Zetsubo-Chan
Night stopped, turning quickly around to observe the voice. And voice it was, though this one had a body, covered in fur, but lacked any form of armor, and definitely not battle ready, nevertheless, it was talking to him. "Hm?" He turned back to the keep, before returning his gaze to Alisa.

"Restricted? Well if you say so." He looked away from the woman. "But there is something important I have to do in there regardless, so if you don't mind?" He gesture at the keep, slowly making his way back towards the keep. "You can follow if you like. Not like you guys have anything of interest to me. I think..." He laughed to himself, though he had stopped moving to let the woman catch up with him.

Alisa Zolner
"... If a stranger tells me they have something important to do in the keep I call my home," she answered, "I'm even less likely to let them in. Now stay back. I have important work to take care of," she snapped. She could have some bite when she was irritated... As she walked past him, she gave his shoulder a pointed shove, as if to say stay away, as she headed for Angelus' office... Only once she was there would she put down the tablet that held the announcement, right outside the door to his office so everyone who needed to could see.

Vladimir was dead.

But so was Angelus.

Approximately half an hour later...

Mir

Miriam stepped up to the front gate. For once, her armor not donned upon her approach. She had come for a differant reason. A reason the guards were aware of . . . She gave them a half-hearted smile as the gates where opened for her.

"I am sorry . . . For all the losses thus far."

She stepped through the gate easlessly as she surveyed the surroundings she knew too well. "How ever do the expect me to replace Doctor Greene . . . But if Angelus has approved of it, I will respect his final wish."

Dr. Traugott passed the two guards a wave as they chuckled, giving their well-wishes as they wish the doctor luck.

She crosses the courtyard, slinging her arm and briefcase held over her shoulder as she makes her way to Angelus' office, her curiousity leading her in her search for an interim leader to at least tell she's arrived.

Leucian

Leucian was standing outside the doors of Angelus' office, his head bowed. So much had happened since he'd join the Holy Order six years ago, and although he knew that the outcome of the battle had been the only one they could realistically have expected he felt a twinge of sadness at losing the Ordermaster. He'd felt a similar sadness when Arcanjelo had been called off to Heaven, another strong man lost to the march of fate and the fight against rot and evil. His arms were folded over his chest, strange blue sleeves attached to a dark black coat. The shirt beneath it was also blue, and it appeared to glisten and shift slightly, as if it had scales on it of some sort. The blond haired young man was the Head Mage of the Holy Order, one of the two leaders of the Order of the Scroll, and an accomplished Spellblade. On his gloves, black and unnoticed beneath the vibrant cerulean sleeves, were set two light silvery-purple gemstones. He opened his eyes as the doctor approached, a sort of grayish-blue that was at once dull and bright to the point of nearly glowing. His ears were pointed, slightly elven looking, and when he opened his mouth to great her she would see his canines were extended two just under twice the size of a regular human beings.

"Hello, Dr. Miriam. I am Leucian, Archmage of the Order and your partner. I do not believe we were ever properly introduced, and as it stands now I am preparing the address to the Order of the Scroll on Ange-" He paused, and composed himself. "On the death of Grandmaster. I trust your facilities are near to being operational? I would have spared more help, if it not for the regrettable circumstances." He appeared to be a boy of only seventeen or eighteen, but he spoke with a manner far beyond his years.

Mir

Miriam just offered a smile, her heterochromatic eyes belaying her empathy towards Leucian's sadness. She too had lost three good friends from the Order recently, to include her predecessor to the Order of the Scroll's science department. She reached up, revealing her gloved right hand, pushing her glasses back up.

"Please, just Miriam. That is all I have ever asked of someone. Doctor Greene, Arcanjelo, Angelus, they all simply called me Miriam."

THe woman turned to face the courtyard for a moment, looking skyward, "A time like this, one would expect it to rain. For truely, it is a forboding day for the future of what they melded out of the Order."

She turned again, back to Leucian. "I have finished my preperations. For the most part. I'll be keeping the constructive efforts at my former lab, along with some lab technicians to keep it smoothly. With the increased security finally implace there, I feel much better about leaving that production there. Unfortunantly I required more room than Doctor Greene, but I have the important peices of my projects and laboratory here."

Leucian

Leucian shook his head softly, and breathed a sigh, heavily laden with all the guilt and worry he felt. He knew that there was no time to slow down, no time to be sad. He had to push forward and be ready for whatever might come their way in the future, especially with whatever foul creatures might assault them while they had no Grandmaster. Many fiends believed that without a leader, the Order would be helpless, and it was for this purpose that attempts on Angelus' life had been rather common. Leucian and the other Ordermasters needed to show them that their was no such weakness, no such faltering among their ranks even in times such as this. He listened to her, and for a few instants his gaze followed hers to the air.

His voice came out softly, a solemn tone that still managed to be audible. "...Perhaps that can be arranged." As he she turned back to him, his eyes burned directly into hers. He raised his hands silently, and they began to glow with a silvery-lavender energy that played around his hands. It would be unplaceable even to the most advanced scanners, scientific or arcane. The Order had been trying to figure out what it was, ever since Leucian had joined. The energy built up into two orbs that each shared a startling white center, dark violet lines bursting out like electricity. The energy seemed to have a sort of calming effect, like everything was in perfect harmony. But in an instant that feeling was gone, and the orbs spiraled off into the clear air. A flash lit the sky, and a thunderous crash resounded as black clouds filled the air almost instantly. Rain began to fall moments later, lightning flashed in the distance, and the storm had begun.

Mir

Miriam's smile left slowly as the rain struck her. She closes her eyes even as the scanning system built into her glasses tried to calculate and systemize the energy Leucian was emitting. Finally the good doctor set her briefcase down, secure in her own knowledge that no amount of rain short of a flood would damage the contents secured within.

Brushing a strand of hair away she opened her eyes once more, not seeming the least bit worried over the rain striking her lab jacket. A brief smile passed once again, this one revealing her white teeth just a little. She emits a short laugh as she turns her off-colored eyes on Leucian. "This is much better," she declares with a chuckle.

A tap to her glasses and the beeping and scanning turns off, leaving the two Ordermasters in silence beyond the rain. An awkward silence to say the least . . . a respectful one to say the most. Miriam makes a motion with her hand, Doctor Traugott by nature, not religious, but still, she pays her respect to the fallen masters as is befitting holy men, in a silent prayer, eyes closed once more.

Again she opens her eyes, wiping the water from her eyewear as she gazes again to Leucian. Her smile passes her lips again. "You will have to bear with me, this Ordermaster thing is new to me. Even though I have been in the position for a year and a half now, I am only just really officially taking it over."

Lyra"

Lyra sat upon one of the order's southern walls, having relieved one of the guards of the patrol there, she had taken over, in hopes of taking her mind off of things, though it hadn't helped.

Sat slumped on the walkway, she had her back to the inner perimeters wall, tears streaking down her face as she whimpered quietly to herself, only to be met by even more moisture as the heavens opened above. She gazed up, cursing as they too seemed to have turned on her, and then glanced left and right along the wall, checking no one else was visible. Relaxing a little, she allowed her head to loll down and rest upon her knees that she had pulled up close to her, almost drifting off as a strange wave of exhaustion came over her, barely struggling against her heavy eyelids.

From he suddenly caught sight of the tower of the scroll, and remembered the times she had snuck into the archives...

The gauntlet was still there... an artefact with enough power that her father had to seal it away using his chains. A smirk slowly ran across her face as a strange sheen ran across her eyes, rain still soaking her through and matting her hair to her face.
Night stood, speechless in the courtyard as he watched the woman walk off. Not often was it that people actually assaulted him physically. It, strangely, made him feel better, as if they were on the same level. Turning, He said in a cold tone, but wore a smile. "Fine, I suppose it wasn't that important anyways. You'll find out later. Why do I even try with these people?" He placed his hand on his face, and realized he was smiling. "Oh... That's why." He Walked slowly out of the order, chuckling quietly to himself.
[ Assuming the Modquisition's timeskip to be general, now. ]

A good while after delivering that tablet to the front gate, Alisa had stepped out to the barracks. Her barracks, now, following events out in the great city, and in the Sea of Stars. She was still getting used to the thought of being in charge, but having more personal power... Well, it was important in this world, especially in her position.

She needed to check progress on her sword. The blade had been shattered in the Sea of Stars... And it was being melted down and entirely reforged. Her loaner was nowhere near as impressive.
