That side of town has everything you could hope to have, money that you could only dream of.. is the price worth it? To surrender yourself to the family, is it all that you desired? Is it selfish in your eyes? No, you decide. This is for everyone that you wish to save, be it siblings, lovers, or parents. The money, respect, that’s all you hope for- a better life. The shadow behind this life, however, is dark and ominous as it waits for you to slip back into its murky abyss. You’re assured, fortunately, that the family will take care of you, that nothing else can touch you. Of course, this sensation can only last so long in a world like this one..

tab Years ago during an economic crisis the city was left to rot, unimportant to the government. With many dying from illness, starvation and unfortunate killings over what little could be scavenged; four wealthy families settled into the city and brought it up from the brink of destruction. In doing so they insured the citizens grew entirely dependent on these families, knowing without their support they would spiral back into poverty. Sixty years on the families, Vargas, Romanello, Takahashi, and the Zolnerowich, are at each other’s throats, fighting to gain complete control of the city. With love blossoming within and between members of the families, what will be the cost of this mob war?

✪ Strictly no God-modding. If your character has a power, stick to what you said on the profile. The Admins of this RP reserve the right to modify or remove powers if they are deemed unfair, or overpowered- you will be warned in advance if this is the case. We will also appreciate no godly characters, please.

✪ There is a list of species that are either banned or have limits placed on them, please keep these in mind when creating your character. While this may seem unfair, this is so that rp isn't overrun with certain species or species we find too powerful. Be sure to check with either admins about the restrictions so you don't end up with a useless profile! 

✪ Please try to be literate and make posts as detailed as possible, no ‘Bob ran to save Michael’. Have fun with it. We recommend at least 4 sentences, with at least 5 words each, at a minimum. Thanks ~

✪ Please try to refrain from too much sex-related stuff, nudity is fine, as long as you aren’t overly detailed on the private bits, but no actual sexual acts. Such acts will either result in an NPC interrupting, players being removed, or even both. You have been warned. 

✪ Be respectful, to both those running the roleplay and the members. 

✪ Cities are large places, so it's easy to get lost. We'd appreciate it if you added your location at the top of each post, eg, In Bob’s room. Also try to at least put the name of your character at the top if you have multiples, so we know who it is.

✪ All profiles must be sent in to Pantsless Ghost/I-cynical_xLOVE-I. You may not post In the RP thread until you are approved. Every applicant will receive a reply so please be patient. Send profiles to either admin with your Western Zodiac as the title for character conformation.

✪ Please, if you wish to play a Mary-sue character do it somewhere else. A Mary-sue is an overpowered, emotionally distressed and brooding dark character. It's fine to have a dark character and we love these, just don't attention-whore yourself out. 

✪The Admin in this RP are Pantsless Ghost, I cynical_xLOVE I and EarthboundFA. If you have any issues, please PM them- Don't resort to flaming, or we will just have to roast some marshmallows. 

✪ If you want your character to be in a relationship with another player’s character please ask them first. No one likes to find out their character suddenly has a sister, husband or arch enemy. 

✪ Please don’t kill or permanently disable another person's character without permission. It’s not fair. Bruises, cuts and broken bones are okay, but don’t go around chopping off limbs or cutting out hearts. With this said, you can’t injure another character without giving them a chance to fight back first.

✪ As this is a yaoi roleplay featuring relationships with two males! We’d appreciate if you only have male main characters, however you may have female minors; ex. your character’s mother/sister/grandma or a female grocery store worker.

✪ You may have as many characters as you like, but you must be able to keep up with them all. This applies with positions, also. If things are moving slow, you may ask for another spot to help things progress. 

✪Much like baseball you have three strikes, two warning strikes than if you break a rule again your booted. The Admins reserve the right to remove a roleplayer straight away if it is deemed they are breaching rules quite severely. ie: Flaming, racism, extreme profanity and disrupting RP for everyone at the same time.

tab THE SECOND ACTUAL FAMILY-RUN business to tumble into the city of Claymore, exceptionally recognized from their almost effortless ability to successfully knock down others. The former leader of the organization is preparing to step down, giving the title to his love child by another woman after his true son ran off to elope on the way. The son, a bubbly narcissist named Gigi, is currently trying to repair the family’s relationship with others while feigning off the Vargas’ advances towards public warfare. Regardless of whether it works or not, Gigi fully intends to take the land from his competitors. Relatively easy going people, they find it difficult to avoid disputes with others.

tab THE VARGAS FAMILY WATCHES OVER the inland of the city. They momentarily were the primary source of goods before the previous leader was “vanished” to escape imprisonment, leaving much of the work to the Second-In-Command until a new leader is chosen. Although unconfirmed, they believe the Romanello’s are the culprits of their boss’s disappearance and often engage in indirect warfare via interfering with business plans. The Vargas’ have plentiful alliances with other smaller groups and overseas groups that even the Son isn’t directly informed about, as much of the information reaches and goes through the second-in-commandfirst. The Vargas family is on fair terms with the Takahashi's, but at the same time carry various opinions of them, and vice versa. For whatever the reason, the group absolutely refuses to make dealings with the Zolnerowich's.

tab THE ZOLNEROWICH’S ARE A BRUTAL and vicious organization composed of the most calloused of men from the Soviet countries, whom are said to be some of the first to claim Claymore as their turf. They are known for disposing of members for the smallest of mistakes and many of those living under their employment are in constant fear of being targeted for something. While appearing to have brutal tactics, the group offers high payments,and because of this, many are trying to get in favor with the current Don, however few succeed. The Zolnerowich’s formally carried decent terms with their more humble neighbors, the Takahashi’s, but as of lately things have begun to collapse with them as the Vargas war interferes with their business and with the new, reckless Don stepping into play.

tab THE TAKAHASHI’S ARE A RISING group that loosely controls the Western parts of the city, and while they are new arrivals to the country, they are the most notorious smugglers in today’s world with their manipulative ways. This aids and cripples them as others are hesitant to make direct deals with them, however allows them to be an tremendously popular choice for a last resort. Currently, the Vargas’ are trying to weasel their way into the Takahashi’s preference by at once shutting off the relationship with the Zolnerowich family. This endeavor is becoming extremely effective as the new don, both reckless and daring begins to allow a more open business system.

The city of Claymore, though it is classified as a city, is more of it’s own country. It is located on a large island in Europe, far from most counties and it is forgotten to which it originally was part of. It has it’s own government, of which all four Families have their fingers in, allowing them to get away with more criminal acts than the normal citizens.

The island that Claymore is located on has a large mountain range filled with hidden cave systems that is rumoured to house dragons, though these rumours are unconfirmed. There are several rock beaches along the shores, the largest of which is said to be haunted by the victims of a massacre the occurred there a hundred years ago. On the same vein as the haunted beach, there is the Blood Forest, a known dumping ground for victims of the Four Families as well as a place execution; very few beyond those in the mafia go there in fear of those poor unfortunate souls.

It never gets too incredibly hot on the island. Even in summer, though the days can get quite warm, the nights are chilly and it might even snow, to be melted with the rising sun. Because of this winters are quite harsh and it is common for the schools to be forced to shut to avoid risks of students being snowed in.

There are several tourist locations in Claymore. A small zoo filled with many exotic animals, a large, artificial indoor beach, to make up for the usual chilly weather on the island, a sprawling mall and a popular theme park with many entertaining rides and fun games to play.

It is divided into three districts known by their directions- each known for something in particular that signifies its uniqueness, though West remains neutral. Claymore North district is for fine housing and where most of the pure jobs are located, the area has more modest attractions to offer such as zoos and parks where rules are heavily enforced. Claymore South District can be inferred as organized territory, where both the Vargas and Zolnerowich estates lie. Claymore East District is home to the nightlife, occupied to the brim with clubs, influences, and people all wrapped into one.

Claymorian-Middle D is the primary linguistic spoken in the city, an indirect, off-branch cousin to the Mediterranean languages. It seems to be very complicated to foreigners, replacing certain vowels with lengthy “y” sounds and removing letters all together to make up one unique word.

Examples;;
I’ve seem to have lost my dog. (Standard English)
A’ye sii to h’ye lost mi dog. – “I” words are typically stretched, gaining the dragging sound when pronounced. If there is multiple letter “I” in the same word it is immediately replaced by a “y” and vice versa.

Example – It’s just a coincidence. = Coyncydence

Since the letter “e” is practically nonexistent in Claymorian dialect, contrast to its sister languages, it is replaced immediately with the “I” that copies its sound.

In short, what’s “I” is “y” and what’s “e” is “I”
If more of the “y” shows up than the “I” then it is switched so that “y” replaces all “I”
