Torture..that's what he decided it was to have to stuff his feet in boots mostly because of his heel talons which were pinned up awkwardly against his ankles. It was easy enough to cover his wings with a light cloak, once he'd fooled a few people into thinking his wings were a cloak, but that was at night.. His eye was the most easy to cover with his bandana and few people thought twice about it since it was easy enough to get injured by an animal or bandit.

All in all, Landis looked like an average, albeit slightly uncomfortable/annoyed, human as he walked along with a young girl and her grandparents who had hired him to escort them here. Honestly he despised escorting people because he had to hide in plain sight, unable to shed his boots or stretch his wings...he'd only accepted this job because the grandparents reminded him of his 'parents'. They finally paid him as they reached the home of..whoever it was they came to see, he didn't bother remembering.

It wasn't until some frightened fools in the distance screaming about a dragon...Landis wasn't worried, last time he'd been in the same area as a dragon his right eye could 'see' it's energy..aura..whatever you want to call it. Since he couldn't 'see' anything he figured it was just another stupid human, though it still made him pause and glance around to make sure. The dragoon was curious why the dragons turned on humans...and why he didn't as well. Those thoughts were replaced by another curiosity as his right eyes saw something, but it definitely wasn't a dragon. The shape was human and his human eye saw a scantly dressed, well endowed woman with a well dressed guy..maybe a knight or something.. Landis smirked and shook his head a bit, quite tempted to intrude and make a few suggestive taunts..the only thing really stopping him was a growl from his stomach reminding him he hadn't eaten much yet today.

Ephraim rolled his eyes as he placed his hands on his hips as she asked him for a more quieter place with alot more open area, It sounded like what she was asking for him "Oh gee, Just give me a second and I'll use my magical areas and pop us into a huge secluded area." He said sarcastically, clearly teasing her with a small smirk before thinking for a moment "Sorry, I just had to." He laughed before scratching the side of his head and beginning to think "From what I remember from being dragged here from Deum Manus, There was a small area centred within a forest, Within the centre would be a lake, from what I remember, It was my horse which discovered it.. God knows how that thing found out such a magnificent place.." He replied as he scratched the side of his head before arching a brow as she explained to him to expect danger even when not expecting it "Yes, Boss.." He said as he gave her a half a** salute before twitching an eye to hearing 'DRAGON!' He looked over to Anya and rolled his eyes "Yeah, well, maybe this dragon used cologne, Let's go check it out anyway." He said as he took hold of her hand and begun pulling her along with him, looking to the left then to the right, curious of where the dragon was, from a distance, He noticed a huge statue-like... thing "Uhh.. I don't remember a dragon ever being human-shaped.." He hummed as he scratched the side of his head 'Chances are is that some moron used some illusion magic..' He thought to himself.

Anya frowned at him. "I don't mean like that. If your royalty. And you've been trained in many ways, then I expected you to have some sort of training area. Guess I was wrong though." She half sighed as she smacked his hand. "I am not boss. You are. You master. Remember that." She said strenly, about to say something about the area he mentioned. She would more or less have to make extra room. But that would have to wait till later. Almost tripping over her own two feet as he dragged her. Till she finally caught herself and lifted into the air, flying close behind him.

She groaned a little when he finally stopped. Her body was still to weak to be moving so much and using to much energy. When Anya landed back on the ground, the shadow fox ran up to her side then vanished. "It's the man who saved me ealier." She said as she slowly walked over to the mass that people thought was a dragon. "Idiot humans. No offense."

Deum Manus has no quarters for training" He said before yelping softly as she smacked his hand "Yes, Boss.." He teased again with a small smirk before looking up at the giant shadowy figure "Man..?" He hummed as he stared at the man, not noticing that a fox had come out of nowhere but vanished yet again before he could even take notice, following Anya as she approached the crowd, snickering softly as she called humans idiots "It's fine.. I'm used to it." He said as he clipped his spear back onto his back "So, What do you wanna do about your knight in shining armour?" He asked as he placed his hands on his hips.

Anya rolled her eyes and she was about to touch it. But quickly winced back, hissing loudly. "He's clensing himself. And I bet you it was because of me." She growled lowly, ready to kick him. "Jerk. I'm not that dark. I just look it." She quickly spun around as more people came to examine the figure. She couldn't stand large crowds like this. "We leave him. I owe him for saving me yes. But he is not my knight in shining armor." She said lowly as she grabbed his hand and dragged him away. "Okay. Time to show me where the area is at. The sooner we start, the better. And the sooner we finish, the faster we can get our hands on those dragons." She said with a small, evil grin.

Nicolas's mind pulsed as the humans swarmed him, luckily for him the cleansing process was completed. He started his chanting but this time the words were reversed. As the words of power pulsated his body he shrank back to normal size slowly. All the energy he stored while cleansing resonated in his head and down into his roots, making the forest around him greener and plusher. The trees with fruits growing on them began producing fruits at three times the normal speed, and the flowers started blooming in vibrant colors.

After awhile Nicolas was back to his human height along with his feet, his skin was still covered in bark. He peeled the bark slowly off of his skin as the humans looked at him in amazement, "I was hoping that I wouldn't be bothered but I should have known better with humans and mortals." Nicolas looked around for his shirt while he continued to peel his bark. He saw it near the demon he met before who seemed to be accompanied with a mortal youth with whitish gray hair. He walked over to the couple and bent down for his shirt "Hello again Anya and nice to meet you...?" he said waiting for a name from the boy. "It seems like I pulled quite a crowd here I apologize for the inconvenience I thought the forest would be tall enough to hide me I guess I was wrong." Nicolas pulled his shirt on again as he talked to them.

Everyone who had gathered seemed to be confused at what happened but stared at Nicolas like he was a monster. Nicolas was used to this by now but it always made him uncomfortable to go into towns. Being an elemental had its good side but the down side was that mortals didn't appreciate what you did for the world. He missed the elf capitols they appreciated the work he put into the forest and world.

Ephraim arched a brow as she mentioned 'Cleansing' himself, He scratched the side of his head, curious of what she meant by that "Cleansing as in showering himself with invisible water or something..? Or..." He hummed with a gentle shy laugh before snickering before shrugging "Oh.. That's what you say, If you weren't that dark you wouldn't have teased me or put me on my back without warming." He said as he looked towards the townspeople as they continued to gather up, He nodded slightly to Anya's orders allowing her to drag him away, that was until the once former giant reverted to his human-height, Ephraim smiled softly as he tilted his head before holding his hand out to the man "Nice to meet you too, The names Ephraim Sieghart!" He introduced himself in a polite formal manner which also showed his confidence through tone.

Nicolas nodded to Ephraim "It is very nice to meet you Ephraim, I am Nicolas Treeborn an elf forest elemental." Nicolas bowed to show respect "It is not everyday you meet a kind soul, so what are you doing with Anya, you do know she is a being from the Nether correct?" Nicolas looked at Anya and nodded "No offense intended madam" he added for her. He might not of liked her aura but it did not mean he hated her. Nicolas looked back to Ephraim and smiled "So mortal where do you hail from and what is your current status" he asked officially. "Are you here for the dragon war as well I did not see you at the war counsel this morning" Nicolas adjusted his katana that was on his hip making sure it was still in proper place.

Nicolas might be a Forest Elemental but he refused to be patient and wait for the war to come to him. "If you are in this battle I suggest you come with me I plan on raiding the dragons castles and killing them before they can cause more harm than they already have." Dragons have been a blight to this world for to long searing his precious earth with flames of the wicked. His face became determined as he thought about what Drackious and his minions were doing and how Gairom had betrayed the forest.

Everything in the ocean was calm and it bugged Hydronious to some extent, she was bored and wanted to cause mayhem somewhere but Drackious advised her to stay in her castle for the time being. "Si oontanx drivia di nomeno itheikir drinlekih si mi vi darastrix vur si tir ti huven ekess qe persvek ir goawy" she said in her rough reptilian voice. She began to slither out of her castle and out to the ocean "Ekess uoinota mrith Drackious si geou gethrisj maulkir vur ifpesp sio vhira." As she touched the waters edge she bolted into the water with lightning speed.

She swam miles and miles away from her castle hunting for whales to sedate her hunger and boredom. The second lenses that she used to protect her eyes from water and debris narrowed so that she could see farther away. Before she could spot prey she caught a glimpse of a shadow above her. It was a pirates ship, one of her favorite play toys/food "Vinxa ihk wer duulo achthend vur diwhaf" she chortled under the waves.

As she aligned herself with the ship she heard screaming from above, that was the problem with this area she thought. On clear days it was hard to hunt since the water was so clean and prey could see her before she attacked. She darted upwards and soared out of the water crushing the side of the ship with her powerful tail on her way up. The frightened people soon settled as the 'dragon' they feared turned out to be something else..honestly, they could get scared of their own shadows some days. He didn't get the point of bursting a lung over the sight of a dragon anyway, it wasn't like screaming was going to save anyone or scare away anything...unless some mage figured out how to do that, but he doubted that.

Landis went ahead and grabbed something to eat from a vendor since there was no way he was going in a tavern or an inn for food because they were so small and crowded most of the time. He didn't want to think about what would happen if some idiot somehow discovered his wings and freaked out, that happened once before and had no desire to be hunted like he was some bloodthirsty creature just because of his appearance.

The dragoon had finished his meager meal as he wandered out of the city, half because he never stayed in them for long and half because he'd been curious about what the idiots had thought was a dragon. Some people were around..what seemed to have been a 'dragon' was a guy...peeling bark off himself? Landis' right eye could 'see' an inhuman energy in that one...just as he noticed that strange demon girl was there too along with that armored fellow. There was something else too, a pulse at the edge of his vision that made him wince a bit and bring a hand up to his hidden eye before turning in the direction of the coast.. was there..a real dragon that way?

Sihr paused. He'd aimlessly chased after one of the soldiers, trying to get a good look at the "dragon" the villagers were screaming about. But, sometime along the way, he must have made a wrong turn. "Dammit," he mumbled, "Guess I lost him." Then again, he did lose track of the guy four times... Oh well, what's done is done. He looked around, feeling helpless in the deeper catacombs of the city. This was a city he didn't know well since the King had kept him and the others near the castle close at all times. He stared about at the marvels of the lower half of the city. It seemed like a rough place, but easily recognized as more of a middle class ghetto. Obviously this was nowhere near the slums, but he still felt out of place in this part of the city.

He stared around, transfixed and feeling distant, trying to get a bearing of where he was. 'If I miss that dragon I'll-' He gasped as he remembered the mission to slay the dragons. He shook his head miserably. 'If I don't get going, I'll lose valuable time.' He looked around as a hand clasp his shoulder. He whipped around, lashing out at the person who'd grabbed him, only to have his arm stopped by a large, rough edged hand. "Whoa there little Missy!" the large-built-fuzzy-beard-wearing owner of the hand said playfully, "I jus' thought you looked a little lost!" "Sorry," Sihr said hurriedly, pulling his arm back and giving an apologetic bow, "I'm just a little jumpy. Do you know where the nearest gate is?" "Well!" the large man huffed out a great, husky laugh, "We're just on our way to the next town!" He gestured to a caravan with several small children, four women, and two dozen soldiers preparing for what seemed to be a long trip. "We're traders, you see! You're welcome to join us if you'd like!"

"Th-thank you," Sihr flushed a bit, "But I don't think I could burden you like that..." He wasn't used to being caught off-guard with unexpected kindness. "Nonsense!" the big man laughed again, "I would never let one such as yourself travel on her own!" He patted Sihr on the back. "I am Averill! This is my wife, Priscilla and my son, Kalin!" "I am Soma," he said, thinking of a name on the spot, "I'm grateful for your kindness." "Let's be off!" Averill roared, drawing attention to himself. Sihr cracked a smile, his energy catching with the rest of the caravan's attendants. He giggled girlishly as he hopped onto the back of one of the carts, Kalin sitting beside him nervously. With a start, the caravan rumbled through the streets and towards the north gate.

Ephraim laughed softly towards the mans reply "Thank you, Kind sir." He said with a gentle smile before looking over to Anya as Nicolas asked what he was doing with her "I know what and where she is from. I don't mind, We're all unique in our own ways." He explained calmly, showing confidence through his tone. He arched a brow when Nicolas then asked him yet again another question "Me? I hail from the Village named Sieghart and I am currently the leader of the mercenary group, Deum Manus." He replied truthfully. Ephraim nodded slightly when Nicolas mentioned the dragons "Well, Some what yes. If you have heard of the Ruins of Sovngarde, I'm also sure that you know the once impregnable kingdom that once stood there proud and strong, I am here on my own terms, albeit receiving an invitation to attend the meeting. I do not take orders from the Government, But, I am sure that I will prove to be a powerful ally to you." He explained to the man. Ephraim arched a brow when Nicolas offered him the chance to raid the dragons castles, Ephraim glancing back at Anya and nodded with a small smile "I think our training has to wait for a little bit." Turning back to Nicolas, he nodded slightly "Very well, I'll oblige and follow. For as long as I achieve my vengeance for my people." He said as he awaited for Nicolas to take the lead.
