Welcome to Gaia! ::

*she runs back up this time determined to find out something* ANYBODY ANYWHERE? TELL ME WHAT'S GOING ON! EVEN IF YOU'RE THE ENEMY THEN SHOOT ME I DON'T CARE TELL ME WHAT'S GOING ON HERE!!!! CLASH CAME FOR HELP AND HERE I AM!!!!
*in her determination, in reply to the silence she started north to the enemy* If someone here won't tell me they will!
With an uneasy move he stood up from his place. "Do not do that Lily...." he said with uneasiness. "Do not harm yourself..." He knew what she would do, but still he stood in the hidden area within the Warmaker's. He intended for her to stop, but not to find him.
*she stops at waaeru's voice* show your face i want to look in to the eyes of the man who betrayed me
"I know how you feel...I do not blame you..but understand...there are just some things I had to get away from for awhile..." he says, as he gives yet another heavy sigh, wincing at the same time.
He returned to the base as the night was complete, unable to fully see his enemy that was clustered nearby, his red bike leaving behind a rainbow of colors as he crossed the bridge and rode through the gatehouse before parking his vehicle in front of his own tent. He was completely unaware of the extremely brittle state the walls of his outpost were in.
He senses Kid and immediately reacts, leaving his area and heading towards him. "Kid...something has been wrong with the base, the walls..everything..." He looked around with suspicion. "I think they may come down...I have been sensing disturbances for awhile now..I couldn't exactly pin point what though.."
"Huh?"
He dismounted his vehicle and went over to his tent, pulling on the zipper to unzipper the entrance. However, the zipper literally snapped off the rest of the metal.
"s**t."
He gave the tent a kick and his foot tore through the fabricy material like it was simply paper.
"What the hell? What'd you say Waaeru? How'd this happen?"
"I beleive the struggle between such harsh temperature changes has done nothing more to the base than make it as fragile as what you just saw.." he said as he looked at the zipper. "This could prove troublesome...Very troublesome indeed..."
His eyes lit up as he looked to the west, the only spot unguarded by the enemy, and then back to his fortress' walls.
"s**t. I don't know what we're going to do."
He paced back and forth until finally coming to rest in front of his tent, sitting on the ground in front of it and propping one knee up to rest his elbows on.
"The only places unharmed by the weathering effects would be the tunnels underground that span a good portion of the crater surrounding the base and that all connect to the armory. But really...it's all now a question of whether or not this land is worth defending. When I was new to Gaia, this was a place for me to stay...I was homeless, questing after leaving the only familiar place I once called 'home' from beyond this land. I was running. It's been only a bit over a year and one month since I left 'home' to go out in the world on my own. A lot's happened to me then. Do I really need this place?"
It was if towards the end of his 'monologue', he had been thinking aloud to himself.
"Fate determines wether you stay or go Kid...." he says as he looks over to the enemy. "Before I came here...I had felt earthquakes coming...I think I can help with that...I have moderate knowledge of the earth magic. I could hold off the earthquakes...but in order to save this place, we need to drive them away.."
For a moment he seemed deep in thought, struggling with his own emotions, his anger vs. his rationality, one part of him wanting to go on but another part fed up in tending to this quite possible soon-to-be destroyed outpost in the center of an enormous crater.
"I'll let you in on a little something, Waaeru...after this is over...and after the 'Soul Gem' is claimed, if ever...I'm turning this outpost and this barren, worthless land over to someone."
He nods slightly, his own thoughts swirling. "You do what you deem right within your heart Kid..." he said as he put a hand on his shoulder. "You control your fate...you control your destiny...you do what you deem right.." he said as he began walking over to an area where he could see the whole battlefield and began trying to devise a way to drive this opposing force off.
He thought for a moment.
"...But if we're going to keep the land, we might as well do something for the walls and save what can be saved to build onto it. Is there anything you can do with your earthen magic to reinforce the walls?"
He closed his eyes and pondered for a moment. "Maybe so.." he said as he stepped back a little from where he was. Raising his arms, his eyes glowing a bright yellow, he began uttering short words under his breath. A small rumble is all that it took as the ground itself began moving upward, expanding, covering the now damaged walls. Now, from it's usual metal, the walls of the base were now solid earth.
