Lady Triana

Velesian Countryside

"I prepare myself for extended assaults by a multitude of spirits and lesser demons, though I pray that such a conflict shall never happen." She drew several more ofuda from her obi and held them ready. "I will do my best to deal with whatever may come." She held one hand in front of her face as she waited for the demon to surface again.

Enick would smile up at Triana with admiration despite the circumstances.
"And I could not ask anything more...now brace yourself, I'm going to stir the fish, and I'll leave it to you to hook the fish."The savant would compliment her, tapping the psionic rune over the dragonic tome to his left repeatedly, keeping his other hand ready and steady for a moment he was looking for.

As he repeatedly tapped the rune against the tome like a judge's gavel, the demon swimming in sand suddenly found large forces of telekinetic energy pounding against the surface near his location.
For whatever reason, the demon suspected he was under some sort of mortar fire, as the deep impact of the dragonic magic attempted to crush him. Enick was actually using the technique as the "net" for this plan; attempting to forcefully drive him to surface near Triana so she could use the ofuda properly without him having his way.
In a split-second move, the demon would surafce only his head as he swam and bee-lines straight for Triana like a bull, leaping out at her in an attempt to tackle her to the ground!

Farrah glared at the guards of Togath through black bars, her arms crossed over her chest to show that she was standing on guard for any signs of escape, even though there were no options at that current time. One of the guards was scolding her for being so harsh to such a beautiful creature as the Brightscale; calling her cruel and soulless monster. "Shut up," she looked away and stared blankly at the hard, cold walls of the dungeon, ignoring the angry outburst from the guard. "How dare you speak out against a superior?!" He took out his sword and menacingly pointed it at Farrah's chin through the black bars. The Akka shifted her powder blue eyes back at the guard and gave him the most terrifying look she could possibly give to someone.

"What makes you think that you're a superior?" She mocked, then grabbed the blade of his sword and yanked it through the bars as hard as she could, instantly knocking out the guard. Farrah made a "tch" noise when she saw that that particular guard didn't have the keys to her jail cell. The other two guards rushed over to their comrade and cursed at the Akka, which she gladly disregarded. The only thing Farrah wanted was to see the Queen, since she was desperate for some sort of excitement, thinking that the information she currently possessed would strike some sort of interest to the royal woman. "The people of Togath are boring," Farrah mumbled, narrowing her eyes at the guards who were keeping their distance from her.

"When crushed, man is no more...

The Sin Pandemic would eye Amalia with mild entertainment, bringing out a smug grin when she made her accusation and what he could and couldn't have. She really thought she could tell him what to do...how cute.
"Aww, the fox has teeth huh?" Jaakuna would state with his cocky attitude.
He'd take a few more steps foreward and intercept the undead rising from the ground, bring his clawed feet to shred them like poorly rolled kickballs as they popped up. Her games were getting old fast; but he couldn't bring himself to assume she was casting the magic. Perhaps she had a silent guardian who stayed out of the way? And perhaps she has a guardian spirit...but either way the magic being used sucked in comparison to what his demonic eyes had beheld.

Then out of character, Akuma would take a menacing sprint foreward and stop just inches from where she stood, allowing her pathetic excuse for a magical rod rest against his stomach, and as a show of masculine force he'd shove a clawed hand past her at shoulder level and scrap a branch off a dieing tree; his face calm but his gentle yellow eyes intense and palpable with desire.
"...Fox. Your all talk. Do I take offense to being compared or stereotyped by what s**t you may have been fed in training? No, because I know thats all it is: s**t. But I could care less by your pathetic excuse for a mental calculator you call a mind. The same goes for that frail feminine bouque you call your body.
What I desire exceeds both, Fox. What heven and hell wage war over every day; I desire your soul, and if you haven't noticed, I never ask. I take."
Jaakuna would whisper to her meneacingly, takeing a step back and crossing his arms, resuming his mildly entertained facial expression with a cocked eyebrow.
However, inside, the archdevil had to bite a bullet. His pride was on fire because he had never bothered spending so much time on words before with what he considered food or lowly. It was degrading to be honest. "...the only reason I say your still alive is because you've been mildly entertaining...tch,Fox. But I'm also not considered for my patience, so unless you have a reason not being worth the dirt your standing on, make your peace or pray to whatever false god you believe in. Consider it your reward for entertaining me this long in whatever sort of country or kingdom this is." He would summize, using one of his claws to itch the end of his nose as he glanced around their surroundings, his expression fading into that of a man who was not all too impressed.
Little did he care to ponder that by calling this girl "Fox" he was establishing a sort of pet name for her.

An energizing shiver tingled up her spine and spread throughout the rest of her body as the demon destroyed her minions. The more death that surrounded her, the more invigorated she became. Still high on the residual energy of her minions deaths, a small sigh of pleasure escaped her cherry lips as the demon punched passed her face. Pity. A glutton. I suppose it was fate my mother stumbled upon that lust demon when she did. A small amount of chaotic energy sparked from her rod as she returned it to its loop on her belt. She grinned as she traced her figure up to her shoulder, across her collar bones, and down her other side until she reached her bag. From it she produced a little black book. Mothers book of demon encounters. Not very interesting. Save for one page.

Sliding the book along the length of his well-toned abs, she flipped it open to a page near the end of the book, holding it so he could see it. On it was a series of lines in demonic script followed by a seal in the bottom corner that still pulsed slightly with the authors demonic energy. If its my soul you are after, this is who youll have to speak to. Apparently Mother decided to bolster her prowess by offering a lust demon the soul of her unborn child. It certainly helped her, but she didnt realize itd have an effect on me. The power she had in her prime, I had before I had... She pressed her body against his. Matured. It is as you say. I am somewhat of a vixen when I exercise them.

"Demons are said to be representations of the worst characteristics of humankind...

The archdevil would grimace at the sight of the black book, what a disgusting thing. They were a common sight in the darker reaches of where Jaakuna grew up; however they disgusted him because he saw no glory in making deals with a life form so lowly and used for food. He was no human's "loanshark" or "banker." To him there was no five years, ten years, or next generation to pay debts.
Jaakuna did not wait, he did not ask, and he definately did not spare.
Your soul was his as soon as he laid eyes on you, and thus he took, and your existence was forfeit as of that moment.

But the Fox had a point, she was a dead-beat. Literally. Jaakuna's expression had melted once again to an expression of utter boredom for having wasted his time with this...Fox.
The Sin Pandemic would annoyingly push the self-proclaimed "vixen" by the shoulder as soon as she attempted to "prove" her body's maturity, still carrying his bored expression.
He was not impressed, nor interested. Sex was a useless and unethical past time in his opinion. He had no desire for the flesh because of his obsession with power from the soul.
He planned to have no offspring or mate. Why? Because in the end, it would only be him standing before the planes themselves ablaze and uninhabited.
HE planned to be the last living/unliving thing standing, all other things were to nourish his insatiable hunger for power and souls.

However, Amalia would notice something odd about Jaakuna when she pressed up against him, and that would be his temperature. He was very warm; all the screaming souls in his body serving as feul for his inhuman metabolism.
But that led to a long story deep in his shadowed past; one about how the very first soul Jaakuna devoured was his own. Therefore, Jaakuna only felt a slight tinge of similarity to this redhead, neither possessed a soul of their own.

"You can save the bibliography, Fox, I don't give a rat's a** about you or your mother." Jaakuna would coldly state after pushing her away, afterwards he would releive an annoyed sigh.
He realized he couldn't continue aimlessly going around the land reaping lifes without direction. True, it was fun, but without this continent's memorization, he was never going to get his barings and know where the prey lived. (ie, populated cities, etc.) So since he had already wasted so much time, what could hurt wasting a little more till his stomach had room for more souls. Not that it ever became full, but getting drunk off power was a weakness he knew he possessed.

"Hey...do you know what land, country, nation this is? Or better yet, a map of all the above?" The archdevil would ask with injured pride, he felt this was incredibly stupid coming from him, but hey, the Fox was dead anyway, and the name of the incubus he viewed was likely planes away from this one. He didn't know him, so chances were, he would never bump into him to yank this girls soul away and eat it after killing him in this plane.
Perhaps in the far future he'd have the pleasure of doing so...

Meanwhile, if she bothered to provide him an answer, Jaakuna decided to take it upon himself to commit this girl to memory, seeing she wasn't going to be in his next hunt for a long long time. His gentle yellow eyes scanned her frame from head to toe, more with pity then interest. By even demonic standards she was beautiful, and she even wore his favorite color in her eyes and hair. But what did Jaakuna care for beauty or pleasure, whether it was physical, visual, or emotional? None. Sadly Amalia may as well of been as worthless as an empty mug to an alchoholic.
Unfortunately Jaakuna had to bite another bullet that the screaming, naked, and in chains fantasy would have to hibernate for now. F**k.

....however Devils are said to be purified and enhanced residuals of those characteristics."

Standing her ground, Triana threw several ofuda at the charging demon. Slapping one more on the ground where she stood, she stood up to throw herself of the way of the charging demon. Her timing was a bit off and the demon clipped her arm as she barely managed to avoid it. Not giving up she slapped one more ofuda on its flank before she fell. She held her arm briefly as she hit the ground, then stood back up, drawing several more ofuda from her obi.

Biting her lip, she snapped the book shut and returned it to her bag. "Pity indeed." Starting to loose her edge, she grabbed a map and tossed it at the demon. "Find Aranka on the map. We're west by southwest of it, nearly halfway between Vod and Skorr." She leaned against the tree as her breathing returned to normal. Crouching down, she picked up the crypt mouse that scurried over to her. Stroking it several times, she put it in her sleeve where it crawled up to her shoulder.

Standing back up, she gave a deep breath as she returned to normal. "You know, even demons have bodily desires. You should give into them every once and a while. It is everyone's fate, whether dead, undead, alive, immortal, or ephemeral, to go alone with nobody by their side when The End comes. When it comes, a full stomach won't help you much. Granted nothing else will help you, but that's beside the point."

The Loremaster would seize the moment as the demon became paralyzed under the pain the ofuda inflicted as Triana successfully escaped a fatal blow! Slamming the enhance rune over the elvish water tome, Enick would effectivley summon up a large spout of water from right under the demon's body, casting him up out of the ground and holding him in place mid-air with the force of water gushing out.
Then like a crushing prison, he'd use the water spout and the psionic rune with the dragon tome to slam him against the wet sand.

"Miss Triana! The Coupe de' Grace if you'd be so kind!"The old nu mou would shout.

"When the body is cold, when the earth shivers in fear, and when the ground opens up beneath you...

Jaakuna Akuma was not phased by her spit-fire comeback, as he caught the map and gave it a quick look-see. The only thing she should take pity on is herself, she could have had the honor of dieing by his claws to avoid the end.
"So...Talm is it?...hmmm..." Jaakuna would think to himself.

He was familiar with this country, but barely. Most of the time he had spent in the physical plane was in other neighboring countries. Figures that his fellow planeswalkers would seal him in a land he had little familiarity with. Tch. But having a map would be usefull at least, with this he had barings now, and some sense of direction.
Once the Fox began opening her sorry mouth, spouting her opinion about "being alone" and "the end" the archdevil couldn't help but chuckle as he brought a hand to cover his face, his maniacle smile showing through with his bright pearly whites.
"Hahahaha, demon? Fox, demons find it fortunate to even be in my service. I'm sorry, but my body gets no sympathy from me. Desires or no, I do what I want. Because I am going to be the one who will see the multiverse and all it's realms burn. A mate or offspring holds no value to me. It is you who are pitied, Fox." The Sin Pandemic murmured behind his clawed hand as he gave in to a few more maniacle giggles as this girl's level of naievity in his eyes. He'd roll up the map and fit in into the waist of his hakama.
He felt, this girl had earned a crash course in what she was dealing with. Lowering his hand and casually walking to stand by her side, his expression glorified that of the gentle and supportive brother most invisioned, and single siblings hoped for. But out of the blue, he'd attempt to grab both her wrists as to raise her hands to should level and press his palms against hers. She'd be subject to smelling his breath, his breath that carried no smell, and only carried a sense of emptyness to the nerves on the skin and nose.
"Let me show you, Fox!" Jaakuna would whisper harshly if successful, gently pressing his forehead to hers; activating the demonology deep within his veins.

(( Music for the following scene ))

All Amalia would receive is a monterage of visuals in her mind and behind her eyelids. It was as if she was facing four screens under her skin! All the images broadcasted the same image...his victims. Billions of them. A new image every second of someone being torn apart!
A child being strangled.
An infant impaled by his claws or curb-kicked against the floor.
An animal being set ablaze by his breath.
A woman screaming naked on the floor before a decapitation.
A man fully armed being disarmed after having his ligaments forcefully torn off.
Blood! Blood! Blood!
And the satisfying climax of wrenching a soul from the dead corpse and swallowing it whole!
Dead.
Dead.
Dead.
There had been no such thing as a surviving victim till he had met the messenger, or the planeswalker coalition that had worked together to imprison him in that forsaken tomb!
Innocent bystander, warrior, mage, pregnant mother, demi-god, it didn't matter! All were prey! All were a resource to be exploited!
Human.
Elf.
Gnome.
Lycan.
Elemental.
Angel.
Demon.
Jaakuna had killed them all! If you were in his way, if you had a soul that could be taken, or if you could be killed! Chances are, Jaakuna had alread killed it at least once!

The last image Amalia would be witness to was The Sin Pandemic standing atop an ephemeral hilltop gazing across all existing realms being set ablaze, all burning, and all life but his own perishing. Why!? Because that proved he was the strongest and only remaining thing left alive! Not god, not another archdevil, not a lich, underfyke, great overseer, or even a blade of grass!

Assuming the vision had come full circle, Jaakuna would let go of the Fox's soft and nimble hands and take a step back and turn around. Mentally yet again biting another bullet; it was the second time in his life he had ever done such a thing, since Florian was the first. Why had he bothered to give her such an honor? He assured himself it was just to scare her and show her he wasn't to be messed with.
It was at this, he began to slwoly walk away, deep in thought because he was unsure of where to go next. Its not like he had a grand plan just yet on how he was going to execute erasing all of existence. Pulling out the map again as he dragged his heels to slow himself down further, he pointed a claw to Kratos...hmm...Kratos. It looked like the darkest land around, his kinda place. Perhaps if he was ever going to do something as far as make a grand plan, the most sin rampant place around should be an excellent place to start.

A sharp intake of air passed her lips as the sights entered her mind. She bit her lip once again, holding back the desires that flowed with the thought of death. "Dnia taydr ujanframs ic ymm." She sighed in a language with which she was unfamiliar, but the line phased her not. "Say what you will, demon, you fail to grasp the meaning of my words." The mouse under her cloak peeked out and she stroked it a couple times. "You are not free to do as you wish. Giving not into bodily desires, you remain a slave to the very same thing that ensnares humans..." She placed a hand where the demon's stomach would be if he were man. "Hunger. When this world burns, and so does the next, when every land you visit is devoid of life and there is nothing left but you, how will you feed your master? How will you obtain that which occupies all but the smallest parts of your thoughts? You will leave this plane and go onto the next. But when that world is gone and all planes are naught but lumps of rock devoid of all life, what will you do then? You will search frantically for another soul to satiate your hunger, hunting angels and demons alike. And once they are all gone, it WILL be just you and you alone, wasting away until the True Death overcomes you."

She withdrew her hand and swept her hood back up. "Were you an ordinary demon, I would strike a deal for one of us to accompany the other in order to hasten my journey to Kratos, but you have already made it clear that I possess nothing you could possibly ever want. I also fail to see what you could possibly contribute to my needs. So at that, I will take me leave of you, demon." She turned and started off down the hill. Turning back, her cherry lips and her pale chin exposed by the moonlight, she grinned.

"And you are not as unique as you would believe. While I sat deep underground, a prisoner of my own actions, my mind came across a visitor far above me. He let his guard down as He slept and I viewed many a scene from His mind that repeats what you have just willingly shown me. The same afterthought I saw, a singular man standing atop a cliff as all worlds under Him burned. He has foreseen His actions and has vowed to ensure that it never comes true, by His hand or another's. His resolve to protect matches your very resolve to destroy, only his resolve overcomes what he truly is while yours only enforces what you are." One last time she emitted her mischievous laugh then turned and continued on her way, not giving the demon the chance to scoff at her words.

Hundreds of miles away a golden-haired man rested his hand against a great black eagle. Taking several sharp intakes of air, he sneezed. With a serious face, he stared at his hand and the tiny pieces of snot on it. "Someone must be talking about me." A second passed then he laughed at the ridiculousness of the old saying and climbed upon his bird.

Lady Triana

Velesian Countryside

Nodding, Triana replaced the normal ofuda and drew one other ofuda. This ofuda had a gilded edge and only contained one character on it. It was a character of banishment and sealing, of dismissal and expulsion. Laying the ofuda on the trapped demon, it released a scream of refusal. The character on the charm glowed brightly and the demon's skin began to turn transparent and glow white. As the demon's scream intensified, it grew brighter and brighter until it vanished in a flash of light accompanied by a small boom.

Closing her eyes and placing two fingers on her lips as if shushing someone, she shortly and silently prayed to whichever gods had decided to aid her on that day. Opening her eyes and lowering her hand she smiled as she turned her head to Enick. "It would seem we were able to prevail this day. I shall go collect the horses." She wandered over to the horses and managed to calm them before returning them to where Enick stood. As she approached, she retrieved a second glove from her chestnut's saddlebag. She removed her ruined glove and gently tore off a thing band of it. Wrapping it around her wound, she donned the new glove. Once it was in place, it was neigh impossible to tell she had a wound. Smiling once again she mounted her horse. "Shall we continue then?"

"Humans say home is where your heart is...

The archdevil did indeed scoff, but said nothing. To him, it was her that failed to grasp his words. He was NOT a demon, he was much higher above that in rank! Or was she just calling him a lower rank because thats how she felt he was acting? Or was it to spite him?

Did she even know he had no master? Of course not! He was his own master! Jaakuna Akuma The Sin Pandemic had no master and bowed to no one!

And about him being the last living thing in the multiverse...that was what he desired most. And once everything else was dead and ash; he'd of proven himself the strongest being alive before living out the rest of his moments and dieing himself. Acheiving his ultimate goal of destroying everything that ever existed.

That was his purpose!

It was at this point, Jaakuna watched Amalia walk away with her foxish sense of superiority, his arms crossed and his foot tapping against the dirt impatiently. His head slightly cocked to the side trying to figure his future meal out; perhaps females just were not meant to be figured out...
Maybe he should have just killed her...

Maybe he should have just went with plan A in the first place...

Maybe he should just avoid having to think so much!

And it was at this point it finally sank in that they were both heading in the same direction. But reallly? Travel with her? On one side, he hadn't known company in a millenia or so, but on the other side...this fox was awfully mouthy and a brat...even though she bathed in his favorite color.
The archdevil would scoff again at the desicion itself.

What was he doing? Had she really gotten THIS far under his skin already?! Was he going to let her just walk away!? And NOT cleave her head off? He was an archdevil! His pride had just been questioned by a meal! A red-headed, curvy, foxish...MOUTHY meal!
It was at this point it was settled:

He was going with her to Kratos. Why? Jaakuna really didn't have a clue. It could be fun? Kinda...maybe...but by the end, she was going to see things his way! Thats right! She was going to be begging him to spare her worthless life by the end of this trip to Kratos! Jaakuna would allow an evil grin to blossom by the end of this thought.

So walking a pace that easily caught up with her, he'd slow down once he caught up along-side her with an uncaring expression on his face.
"Listen you. I didn't say I was done with you yet. As it happens, I happen to be heading to Kratos as well. And since you know about this 'Talm' more than I do. I figured you may prove useful till I decide to win your soul back just to eat it. Got it, Fox?" he'd communicate with a bored sigh, trying to sound non-chalant.
"And if your going to keep calling me by my race, demon is not correct. I was highborn amongst such lower races. I'm an archdevil, I am one of the so called 'masters' you accuse me of serving." he would add with a hastened, slightly annoyed, murmur.

...devils say your soul is where their stomach is."

Enick Nabufasu Baba had a relieved smile wave over his face once the demon had been pacified. Miss Triana truely had a grand sense of elegance and grace with whatever she preformed. It also brought to light the stupidity of their assailiants to summon a demon beyond their control...the poor fools.
"Miss Triana, good show, good show. That was truely remarkable, the way you handled that back there. Truely the stuff of legends." The old nu mou would compliment, moving back to the top of the sand dune once she left to collect the horses and placed his tomes and runestones back into his deep pockets.

However, despite the past, he felt it was not decent to just leave their corpses lieing out in the sun. So Enick would take it upon himself wordlessly to bury the bodies decently using magic. Slowly having the sand shift with a few earth runes and having the bodies slide into their shallow graves before covering them up again. At least this time there were bodies to bury...last time all that remained was a gruesome blood oni.

Dejectantly murmuring a few closing words to himself, he'd return to Triana with a small smile on his face and take the reins of the two spare horses before making the rest of their journey to the Tower of Veles, also known as The Witche's Tower. It may have been a brisk journey...but they made it.
Once at the stables, Enick would have an apprentice send word of their arrival to the head witches of the tower.
"Miss Triana, normally I would ask to see the head witches alone, but if you desire to come, I feel you've earned that pleasure."Enick would state calmly.
