This is a Tier 1 Ship-to-Ship Deathconflict.

Tier 1 Rules and Regulationsare to be followed.

Space-Faring Vessels: Blighted Freedom versus Ironsides

Captains: Jonathon Fett versus Assassin Vet

Setting: Dark Space Battle Grounds. There are 2 moons in the area and a distant blue star providing some light.

Posting order: Participants will post their Intro in the following order, then the match will commence.: Fett, then Assassin.

Judge: TDA_Archangel.

Rules, Restrictions, and Conditions:If you have not posted a response within fourty-eight hours (2 days) of the last response, you have forfeited the deathmatch, and your RPV is considered dead.

If you forfeit the match, your RPV is automatically considered dead, and you'll have to make a new one.

If you post, and and you are not part of the match or a judge called in, your post will be deleted. No questions.

All of your weapons, armor, etc must be included in your intro post and limited to modern type weaponry. Lasers, plagiarism, single piloted ships and automated weapon systems are strictly prohibited. You may only use 1 starship in this match so choose carefully.

Weapons systems must be realistic. No particle beams, plasma weaponry, weaponry that produces black holes, etc. If it can't be made today, and be made to work, then it's not happening in here.

Your Starship must be described and explained to the point it is believable. The use of non player characters are allowed to be used to a high extent.

If you lose, your starship is the property of the victor, and he may do whatever he want with it.

If you post, then you will have agreed that you understand the rules and conditions, and know and understand all that is to be done here today.

If you do not have a RPCP Sheet format of your own, do NOT copy the opponent's, and try to pass it off as your own. If your RPCP Sheet is styled after the opponent's, It will be grounds for investigation by the appointed Judge(s).

View of the Freedom

Explanation of Technologies:

Main Battery Installments:

These are the main offensive weapon of the Freedom, but are also used to lay down defensive fire against incoming enemy ordnance and fighters. The shell is one meter in diameter, but the entire thing is the projectile: User Image

The turrets are manually operated, with each gun crewed by a three man team. Each battery has a transparent canopy through which the Battery Captain can call out targets-of-opportunity. Due to the location and the weaker nature of the transparent material of the canopy this is likely one of the most dangerous jobs on the ship. They can be targeted by enemy weapons systems and destroyed with relative ease. This destruction is usually explosive (owing to munitions detonating) and likely allows few options for escape.

Flak: This ammunition employs exploding metal fragments at high velocity, creating a defensive barrier around the battlestar which can shear enemy fighters or incoming missiles. This, along with the point-defenses, keep the enemy at a distance, allowing the ship's single-ship forces to safely deploy and engage enemy single-ships and/or missiles.

High Explosive Anti-Starship (HEAS): Charges of high explosives within the shell, when impacted against the hull of the targeted vessel, or anything else that gets in the way, cause massive indentation against the hull or armor plating of the impacted vessel. This causes the armor or hull to be come less effective in protecting that specific point on the vessel.

Modes of Fire: There are two modes of fire, salvo, and full attack mode. Salvo is when the time calls for a battery, or elements of a battery, to fire simultaneously at a single target. Full attack mode is when Individual gun captains call out, and engage targets-of-opportunity.

Point Defense Batteries : This is the smaller batteries which are tasked with destroying incoming projectiles (Enemy single-ships, and missiles or rockets). Sensors and expert systems identify and evaluate threats, assigning priorities to them based on data like distance and projected trajectory, while at the same time laying the cannon; this and firing are all done too quickly for a human crew to match, so they are handled by the ship's computer system. the main armament of the PDB's are small flak projectiles thrown high rates of fire to create flak walls. The flak walls are cast less than half a dozen kilometers away from the ship, with a possibility to dial the delay of a flak projectile's time fuse. Automatic targeting systems, pre-planned firing solutions and corridors presumably allow the single-ships to safely launch through such a bombardment.

Thermonuclear Armament: Here is what goes on during the detonation of the thermonuclear warhead:
User Image. It is unnecessary to describe what happens when this thing goes boom.

Power plant:
User Image
This is what gives power to the ship's systems, electronics, and other devices that need electrical power to function and be properly operational. The reactor needs no refueling, due to the longevity of the reactions taking place.

Engines:
User Image The engines are what make the ship move. The propellant used is a substance Fett created himself called Trinaz. Its enthalpy is 5 * 10e^(14) J/kg, making it very much an effective fuel for the starship engines.

Hyperspace:
By now, I've pretty much given up on explaining s**t, as you can see evidence of my giving up throughout the explanations of the tech. However, I'll go out in a blaze of glory:

After receiving commands from from the Navigations officer's console, the process of a hyperspace jump began with the collection of gamma radiation by the field guide. A motivator would build up and modify the energy in a fusion generator through several kilometers of looped superconducting wire. To enter hyperspace, the hyperdrive's horizontal boosters would provide energy to the ionization chamber to begin ignition that would release the radiation, causing ripples in the time-space matrix and allowing the ship to propel off the ripples into hyperspace. Inertial dampers were used to protect the ship, crew, and cargo from being crushed by the tremendous acceleration of the jump. Once in hyperspace, a null quantum field generator helped stabilize the vessel and kept it from prematurely emerging from the alternate dimension. Shields also protected the ship from fatal collisions with interstellar gas and dark matter particles. To prevent the relativistic passing of time while in hyperspace, starships used stasis fields attuned to hyperdrive levels to keep organic onboard crews or cargoes "in time" with the standard galactic dimension.
This match is now hereby closed, due to the fact that Assassin Vet has not showed up in character and it has been multiple days waiting for the Ironsides to arrive. No Vet did not forfeit this match, he just never showed up so that's even worse like a coward you would say. Jonathon Fett may claim victory of this match although there has not been any characters or Starships defeated.

...that is pretty much a forfeit.

Just sayin'

Well you guys can't steal his ship or anything since he hasn't displayed a RPV profile for it, and he never agreed to the rules or conditions by posting. It's like what's there to gain from this match, his starship's name o_0
