On the island city, Citadel City, times have changed and people have begun to evolve. No one knows the reason as to why people have begun to evolve or why it was them and not others. Ever since that discovery, Knights began to emerge. The organization has utilized these Knights to recruit these “mutants” so that they can be tested. The media has twisted the story by saying that these camps are concentration camps instead of research facilities and what they’re doing is for the good of the people. “With these new discoveries, we will be able to cure diseases and prevent deaths,” the organization has stated. Thus, a new group was formed, the Humans of America. They stand up for the mutants by stating that they are human beings and have every right as the rest of them.

This debate created a division amongst the groups. Some people support human rights, others support mutant rights while others are indifferent. The extremists say that the Knights are doing something worse, much worse. Instead of using their powers for the greater the good, they are killing them because the organization is afraid of their powers. That’s why Knights carry anti-power weapons to protect themselves and the citizens of Citadel City. Rumor has it, that Knights have temporary powers, only few use them because the side effects are still unknown and those who have experienced them stay quiet.

Now a rogue group has made itself known. The Desciuts are a mix of people, mutants and non mutants. They break into research facilities to free those mutants while trying to destroy the Organization. Their location and HQ is still not known. Rumor has it that they hide in remote areas of the city and use shadows to travel. Of course, the shadow part is a rumor because the group uses the abandoned subway tunnels to travel. Supposedly, the tunnels have been destroyed, that’s why the organization has no idea of it.

The Knights have been studying and experimenting on mutants for a long time They have created a drug using mutant stem cells called the Darwin gene. Since the discovery of the Darwin gene by the Knights, it has been manipulated to do a lot of things to the body. At its weakest level, it can cure wounds and minor diseases. Increase the dose by 2 mg, it can cure life threatening wounds. If the Darwin gene is taken at a high amount of level then the DNA structure begins to change. Some people have survived the process and have gain an extraordinary mutant like powers but because the body is not strong enough for the changes, the body begins to attack itself, eventually leading to death. Reports have shown that the side effects can start as early as a couple of minutes or the user can go for days without feeling them.So far, research has revealed a way to lessen or slow down the effects but once the subject has started regimen, they will need to take it for life. Many Knight scientist have worked day and night trying to find the missing element so that no users would suffer its detrimental effects but so far their work has been in vain. This drug was made specifically for humans and not mutants. So far, it doesn't seem to effect or have any beneficial use to mutants whatsoever, however that is still being researched.

This drug has not yet been released to the public because of the side effects that have begun to manifest on the body. Right now, the Knights are guarding the drug in an unknown disclosed location where only a few people have access to the drug. Because of its potent use, it is being kept safe in a lab where more tests have begun to show of its other uses.

The Darwin gene however has been making an appearance on the black market but only in small doses. It is hypothesized that some Knights are stealing it from the lab to make a profit however the drug that they are stealing has a major defect. They are getting the drug in it's purest and most potent form which may be effective but also extremely dangerous. This is dangerous being that routine doses are needed in order for the drug to not be lethal. The Darwin gene is near impossible to retrieve on the black market being that it is under high security and it is also very new to people outside of the Knights organization. Drug lords are however still trying to get their hands on it to sell to humans.

Mutants

the oppressed, the outcasts, the dangerous and the misunderstood. The Knights keep the mutants in controlled conditions and use them as guinea pigs to try to cure diseases. The mutants are kept in concentration camp like conditions. They dream of freedom and a world without prejudice.

Knights

The Knights are humans who want the world to be a better place. They cure disease and keep violent mutants off of the streets. They keep the average American safe. The mutants are a dangerous people and if they gain power, they could destroy the nation. The mutants are kept in controlled, monitored for their safety as well as other peoples. The Knights are trying to make America better for all Americans.

Humans
You keep seeing this war between mutants and humans on your tv set. Maybe you're too afraid to say or do anything about it or maybe you don't care. Either way, you have to pick a side. Do you think that mutants are humans too and they deserve the same rights and freedoms as the rest of us? Or do you think that they are a ticking atom bomb waiting to go off that are a threat to national security? One way or another, you'll be called a filthy mutant lover or an oppressor.

✷ Weaknesses: If you are an induced mutant then your weakness cannot be something that already causes a human harm like "I am immune to bullets or blades can cut me." It has to be tied in with your power. If for some reason you weakness makes you immune to bullets like you have hardened skin then your weakness has to be something greater like knives can cut or water makes your skin looser.
For pure mutants: your weakness has to relate to your power, so if you control fire you're weak to water and so on

The mutants have escaped the Charleston facility and are being hunted down by the knights. The Desciuts have new recruits and the knights are plotting their next attack/ working on finding the Desciuts. The Descuits are currently in their hideout in the abandoned subways beneath Citadel City.

Diana had just received the report of the recent prison riot. She had hoped that the rumors were false, that it was all just hear say but she should have known better. ”What’s our ETA to the pier?” Diana asked the driver as she was preparing herself. Looking out the window of the Humvee, she sees a group of people running away from the scene while others are being held back by the local police. ”Make sure the entire perimeter is closed down. I don’t want to give these beasts an inch of space to escape,” she tells a commander.

Taking in a deep breath, she glances down at her left arm and sees the tattoo on her arm beginning to form. ”Let’s do this girl,” she says and then steps out of the vehicle. From where she was, the island seemed peaceful but she heard gunshots being fired and screams coming from it. There were already a couple of the prisoners handcuffed and being taken somewhere else. Those bastards are going to pay for this. Running out towards the beach, she hops onto a speedboat and quickly drives towards the island.

Travelling through the ground, Jennifer rose up from the concrete floors and grabbed guards, pulling them down into depths of the earth and crushing them under the pressure. She then jumped from the concrete onto another guard, crushing him underneath her weight. She grabbed the guard's body and used as a shield, protecting herself from the bullets of the squad of men who were now targeting her. She ran behind a concrete column and threw the guard's body to the side, pulling his pistol from his waist.

"Alright, where are the rest of my squad?" She yelled, looking around to see that she was alone for now, facing the prison's guards and trying to protect the prisoners who were running towards the boats. "Subdue the b***h! yelled a guard, who then threw a concussion grenade at Jen's location. "Ah, s**t..." The grenade exploded and sent the dead guard's body flying, the other soldiers thinking it was Jen opened fired. However, Jen was swimming through the concrete and dirt, pulling each solider under and suffocating them. She then rose from the concrete again and grabbed the squad captain by the throat. "Subdue this, b***h." She crushed the man's throat and dropped his lifeless body on the ground.

The black cloaked figure ran behind Jennifer, trying his damnedest to keep up with the furious pace of the woman, but a subterranean rocket that woman was. By the time he arrived to the party, the guards were dead among them, thanks to Jennifer. Panting lightly, and with sweat starting to form on his brow, more weapons came into Plague's arsenal. "Keep moving up like that...and we can't stay on you." Plague said in breaths, his crow mask turning with his head to see another wave of guards coming in to try and stop the escaping mutants. Eager to get started, Lucas advanced on the guards, meeting them, and beginning to battle them. As one swung a billy club, Lucas caught the arm, sent a fist into the man's ribs, and with a last fluid motion, spat a wad of mucus and saliva into the face of the guard. The man was shocked, thinking why a man would spit in a fight, yet as his face melted away, his companions saw why. The bacterial horde ate through the man's flesh, multiplying at unthinkable speeds. The guard was dead before his headless corpse hit the ground, and with that, Lucas liberated the man's billy club.

Vicious strikes came from Lucas, who wielded the billy club, hammering guards back. However, the blows were weak, and worthless comparatively. As guard came for retaliation, his fist coming in quickly to strike Lucas, Plague moved, dodging the strike, and sunk his teeth into the man's arm, careful about his placement. Staring through the crow's mask, Lucas smiled as he tasted the slick iron juice the poured out of the man's arm, before removing his teeth and pulling away sharply. The man was quick to die, as a virus flooded his systems, tricking his neural passage into shutting off the brain. The man fell like a sack of bricks, before Lucas went after the two left, grabbing two syringes from a belt, both of which were filled with an odd colored fluid. Deftly, Plague plunged the two syringes deep into his targets, and he forced the plungers down on both. The men succumbed, their bodies corroding away from the bacteria eating them, as small chunks of flesh fell from the bone and body.

Jennifer jumped up into the air and landed onto a guard who was trying to sneak up on Lucas. She then crushed her neck and walked up to Lucas, placing a hand on his shoulder. "At least I've got you, Plague. Even though you can't keep up." Jennifer snickered, picking up a random guard's rifle and put it on her back. "Let's go and help with the departing boats." She heard gunshots coming from afar and ran to get into cover. "Sniper!" She yelled, looking around to see where the shots were coming from. She saw a lone mutant try to run for the open steel doors, but got his head taken off by the sniper.

As soon as she arrived at the island, she saw the massacre of everything and everyone. It was like a video game, bullets being fired and mutants using their only weapons and grabbing from the dead. It was pure disgust. ”I don’t want any of them to escape, you hear me? Kill them all if you have to but not one escapes!” she yells at the men behind her. Running up to the field, she sees multiple dead bodies and Descuits helping the remaining mutants escaping. Taking out her gun, she begins to run up to a mutant and quickly kills one with a bullet to the head. Extending her hand out, she uses a mutant’s shadow to swallow their bodies into the ground.

Immediately her eyes go to the two Descuits standing in the middle of it all. The tall one had a long jacket on and seemed to have finished the other one off but the body next to it seemed to have a distorted face. We really need to keep a log of all these freaks. The girl next to her seemed familiar but she couldn’t get a good look at her face. Aiming her gun at the girl, she fires off two bullets before ducking down and reloading her gun.

Jennifer ran into the open and shot the sniper who was hiding behind a column, and was then shot at by an unknown enemy. She stomped on the ground a wall of concrete shot up and took the bullets for Jen. "Who's hiding?" Jen yelled, punching the wall and sending it flying in the direction of where the shots came from. "Show yourself, or I'll rip the ground out from underneath you."

Jennifer then grabbed a young mutant and passed it off to a group of people who were trying to make it to the boats. "Hurry up and get off this island, people!"

After his short bout was finished, Lucas coughed, clearing his mouth of the irony taste, as well as a small chunk of skin. As Jennifer came over, the fainest notion of a smile came to him, as he realized she had just landed on a guard coming to strike him. "Aye, one's better than nothing. I wo-" The crack of the sniper rifle made Plague flinch, and he needed no encouragement, as he was now in a full tilt sprint for a scrap of cover. Taking refugee beside a dead guard, he used the much larger man's flabby body as a bullet sponge. A round tore over head as Jen retorted with a bullet into the sniper. It's nice to have people that know how to use guns, Lucas thought, peering over the dead body, his mask's green lens quite visible in the darkness about them.

Plague watched as a few reinforcements came, trying to take advantage of Jen's focus. Muscles strained once more, as Plague went to intercept the two. As he neared, the two hardly noticed his approach, as they were too busy working for a shot on Jen. Sending himself in a slide, his booted foot connected with one's knee. The result was a sickening crack and a shin protruding from the skin. Plague was to his feet quickly, sending a fist into the still healthy human. The other was simply screaming, holding his leg, before Plague finished him off with a boot, as if he were squishing an ant under his heel. The other had now recovered, trying to level her gun to hit Lucas, who looked at the weapon, before trying to react. He was too slow, and as he dodged, the gun fired, skimming his left arm. Lucas was quick to react however, wiping his good hand with the blood, and started to try and smother the human with said hand. His wounded arm got to work preventing the woman from firing her handgun. In the struggle, Plague's blood made it into the woman's mouth, and the infection began. She gagged a moment, pulling away from Plague, her and she tried clutching her throat, but found her extremities failing, and then falling off, as the infection savagely destroyed both bones and muscles. With a grimace, Plague watched the woman fall to pieces.

Taking in a deep breath, she peers over the ledge of the column and sees Jennifer yelling at her direction. Her body instinctively rolled to the side to evade the wall that was flying towards her. Always hide your skills. Either her opponent had super strength or controls the ground. After hearing her, her assumption about her was right. The girl controlled the ground. ”Shouldn’t you be heading to the boat with them?” she asks her with the gun pointed at her.

Need to catch her off guard or else I’ll just be wasting bullets. Looking at what was around her, the girl had a lot to play with but this was her turf. She knew the grounds like the back of her hand. All she had to do was to think fast. ”Alpha team move west. There is a group of five people heading towards a boat,” she says. No one was going to escape. They had already lost a good amount of people and if they kept losing more, then it would affect the Knight’s image. ”You might as well give up with this futile mission. Those who you managed to free are either dead or going to be dead within the next couple of hours.”
