michael looked at her suspiciously but shrugged figuring that he cant control a free spirit like rubi. "im not comfortable with that but if you insist i want you to take my sword with you, and please bring it back in good condition, it was my grandfathers. the safest body of water is a shallow, somewhat clear creek about ten minutes north of here. it has some trees, but they are bear so that should help with the roc's" he said handing her a small bucket and his grandfathers sword. he realised that she could very well just walk off with it but he felt like he could trust her.

Fuzz then opens his eyes and said,"where am I?" then he sits up and instantly places his hand on his side then said,"Felt like I was crushed by something..."

-Rubi-

Rubi couldn't help but be touched by the sentiment. He was offering something with as much personal value. She laughed. "It's a good blade... and thanks for the thought, but I wasn't trained in the use of weapons... Not like I need one." She took one more look at the sword, beautiful, plain but what decorations there were didn't ruin the balance, deadly. Rubi handed the sword back to him. "I wouldn't feel right taking it anyway." Rubi looked at the blue mutt that just woke. He looked like crap, what should she expect? Life like this tends to wear you down. "Welcome to my world... I just woke up not too long ago. I'm lost too." She walked to the door took a quick scan of what was visible, she wasn't about to get attacked by any more mutants. Rubi saw a few animals, no match but she wasn't in the mood to fight. She walked around and found the rear door. Rubi looked around the room, she was alone. Set down the bucket without a sound and slipped out the door. I wouldn't want him to think me a thief if I didn't return... It was quiet outside. Almost misleading. Taking off north she came across what Michael was talking about in no time. She took a few walks around the area where she was going to bathe, nothing. She was certain, No heavy blood smell, no eerie shadows, nothing she could hear. The only problem was the bridge that overlooked the creek but she felt almost certain that it'd be safe enough. She stripped down to nothing and got down to washing clothes first since they take time to dry. Once she finished they looked somewhat presentable and she set them on a large rock in the sun. Rubi then began to wash herself. Every now and then a shadow flew past from above but just as Michael said, she was concealed. After a while she began to get pruny and she wasn't too dirty anymore so she decided that she may as well dry off next to her clothes. Rubi sat down and took another look. Still safe enough... She flipped her clothes to the reverse side and just sat watching the water.

Lin soon found himself at a hospital, he searched through all of the cabinets and storage closets but only found a small amount of medical supplies, lucky they were basically what he needed some stitches a needle antibiotics and gauze.
Lin patched himself up and locked himself inside a series of rooms and found a bed to sleep on, at the least he could get a few winks before setting off into this city that he wasn't familiar with, but that's what it's like when your mapping out the new world for knowledge.
Only time will tell if he will be successful or not.

michael hauled himself up and walked over to fuzz. " you are back home. i carried you here after that thing knocked you out, and i hope you don't mind but i brought this girl, rubi, here after i found her lying on the ground." he explained.

'hmmm rubi has been gone a long time.' michael thought to himself. he stood up grabbed his sword and walked out the door, knocking over the bucket in the process. 'something is up.' he continued north until he found the river. he wandered along the ege then stopped. " what if she is bathing." he thought aloud blushing. he figured he'd be a gentle man and call out. " rubi! are you here?"

-Rubi-

She jumped at the sound of him calling out. "Yes! Just hold up!" Rubi grabbed her underclothes and quickly threw them on. Once she was at least decently covered up she called over to him. "Come on over." She then began to get all her supplies situated on her belt. Her checklist had always been pants, belt, suplies, socks, shoes and then finally shirt. Every process that she had was in itself a finely honed process. Another thing she was grateful for from her father. All his odd daily rituals... she finally understood.

michael rounded the corner and found rubi sitting by the river in her underwear, which made him blush. "oh, i...ummm, j-just wanted to make sure nothing ha-happened to you." he said adverting his eyes out of embarrassment. having lived on his own since he was little he never really had a girlfriend so this situation made him a little uncomfortable and REALLY embarrassed.

[Zazenna]

-Rubi-

Rubi looked over at him, he looked distracted. "Are you okay? You look a bit off..." She walked over to him, her clothes in her arm. "Do you have a fever?" Rubi held the back of her hand to his forehead. He seemed fine. "Let me just get my pants, socks, and shoes on... carry my belt." She handed him her supplies and got to putting her other clothes back on... they were still cold and wet but they were better than nothing.

he simply nodded and stood there pretending to be on the look out for any dangers. he is not normally so easily distracted, but then again he hadn't really been around anyone else for a long time. while pretending to be occupied he heard a loud call of a bird, his eyes widened and he rushed at rubi grabbing her by her waist and pulling her under the bridge.

Rubi nearly tripped as Michael yanked her under the bridge. "Can't be too gentle can you?" She looked up into his eyes. They had already changed from their tired look to eye's meant to survive. "Well we have some choices... wait, and hope it didn't see us. Try to sneak by. Or we could fight but... Im not a big fan of the third." She was hushed and just loud enough to be audible. Rubi didn't want it to hear, it probably wouldn't. But, any nearby predator on the ground needs the kind of ears that could hear a twig snap 100 yards away so rather safe than sorry.

"sorry, its better to just wait it out. they have incredible eyesight." he said unconsciously pulling her closer to him. he had a strange feeling like he had to do anything to protect her. he reached up and drew his sword just to be on the safe side. the roc screeched again then landed a good 10 feet away from them. luckily they have bad night vision and they were in the shadows.

Rubi just watched as the bird stood there. They're nothing like the forrest's rocs... They must have less competition and can actually grow. Amazing if I we're it's next meal. The bird was huge by compared to ANYTHING she had ever hunted and she knew the fear of prey when faced with something they've never seen. All she could do is stand paralyzed while it searched for it's meal it saw duck under the bridge... What are you? Human? No! youre a god damned fighter, why are you just sitting and hiding? I'm almost ashamed of us...

michael moved rubi behind him as the roc stuck its head under the bridge. its neck was right in front of them. 'if i killed it, imagine what i could do with all that meat.' he thought to himself. he slowly raised his sword and waited for its neck to be in the perfect position. when it was he swung down slicing about half way through.

LIn awoke later to the sounds of some creature off in the distance, sounded almost like a bird but different in a way but he just shook it off.
he sat there in the bed taking in his surroundings once more, it has been such a long time since he has had a home that he has spent more than one night in in what seemed like forever.
Lin scoots to the end of the bed and stands up, stretching as he does so.
he starts to put his gear back on for it was time to explore this new found eden, lin made his way back out side and started down a street,"now if i could anly find and old gun store or something so i could find a bit of ammunition would be fantastic" he said as he made his way down the street.
soon he found an old police station but was unsuccessful of finding any ammo, so he sat at the opening of the building thinking and unsure of what to do....
