
Ikara slipped easily through the window of the car, not seeing any reason to waste energy by opening the door.
"It's not my leg, it's my side,"
she grumbled before she had even settled into the seat. She watched as the boy reached over and pulled out a bag of Doritos, trying to remember the last time she had had any. She looked away so she wouldn't be tempted to snatch them. Even though she could be mean and had attempted to kill the boy, she wasn't mean enough to ever steal someone's food. She refused to resort to that and become no better than the mutants.
I hope you have some more useful stuff than just a bag of chips,
she said, glaring at the chips in the boy's hand for a moment.
"No towels or anything? I'm probably bleeding to death, you know,"
she reminded him, gesturing to her side.
