michael nodded and hauled himself to his feet. he looked around them. he gazed out the window and thought he saw a bush crawl out of a door and close it. he shook his head and passed it off as a hallucination. "nice place you got here." he said smiling weakly.

Lazarus walked down the silent streets, listening to the sounds of the animals that had taken up residence within the city now that all the humans had vanished. As he walked, his mind flashed back to how the city used to be. The sounds, the smells, the grit in the air. It has been a city, live and bustling with the humans that occupied it. Sometimes, it was still creepy to think about just how quit it was, to think about just how many starts you could see in the night sky now without the lights of the city blocking them out. It was weird. But he just blocked out the old memories, focusing on the tasks at hand for the day. Possible food collection, water collection, a good perimeter sweep of the surrounding neighborhood around the bunker. He stopped, sighing heavily for a second as he reached up and rubbed the bridge of his nose. Why was he still trying. It could very well be that he was the only human around within hundreds of miles, thousands even. Why was it that he tried to survive when there was nothing out there for him. He didn't know if he had a future. The present was bleak and desolate place where one wrong move found him bleeding out in a pile of rubble without him even being able to dry out for help without bringing in some wild animals or mutants to use him as an easy meal. Slowly, Lazarus looked down to the rifle he held in his hands, pondering the same thought he had countless times before. One bullet would see it all over. His supplies would be found by someone else in time. That was inevitable. Even if it was some archeological dig in the distance future. They'd find a nice, whole time capsule from the collapse of the world.

Laz sighed heavily for a second, remembering that he might be the reason that distant future even happens. He had to go on if he were to even believe that there could be some distant future. So, he adjusted his stance slightly, adjusted his hands on the drip to his rifle and continued on down the streets, looking for any kind of good sized game that he could take down for food. A deer, cow, bear, even a large dog. Something with good meat on it he could eat. He knew that there was a group of deer that had been wandering around here the last few days. He just had to locate them. A second later he heard a noise, the sound of a tin can rattling down the street. Laz crouched low, slowing his pace as he looked around through the litter of the streets and houses. After a second, he saw a flicker of movement off to his left. He smiled to himself, heading towards it slowly and steadily. After a few paces, he watched as a large deer moved out from behind an old garage, presenting her broadside to him. Lazarus stopped in his tracks, ensuring the deer didn't notice him before he slowly started raising the rifle up to his shoulder. Inch by inch, he readied himself for the shot, looking down the scope to sight in on the animal. Once he got the cross hairs lined up, it only took a single shot to bring the deer down, a tremendous thunderclap sounding throughout the surrounding area as the shot rang out.

One of Fuzz's ear twitched and he forms back into a demon wolf and teleported where the scream came from. He teleported in front of Mimi and then he barks at them but when he barked sonic waves attacked the dogs only but only they can hear and not humans. He was standing guard of Mimi but snarls at the dog creatures.

Mimi peeked her eyes open from between her fingers as she looked at what seems like a wolf protecting her from the dogs.Mimi just watch as the other dogs growled at the wolf before running off"hehe..ank you wofly"she said in a bubbly voice as she stood up looking at the wolf.

Eclaire just got done killing the last of the dogs when she heard mimi scream"MIMI"yelled the teenage girl using her speed to follow her daughter scream.The red haired finally made it to where her daughter was at,and what appeared to be a demon wolf next to her"get away from her"she told him with venom in her voice getting her arm sword ready to attack,until she saw mimi hugged the demon wolf around his neck"mama..don't hurt him..he help me"she said sweetly rubbing her head in thefur.Eclaire glared at the wolf as she changed her arm back to normal"mama..can we keep him"mimi asked happily that made Eclarie gave a sweat drop before dropping on the floor"whats with her and animals"eclaire thought to herself"no dear"she said getting him walking over to the two.

Fuzz then wags his tail then said,"I am not an animal you know..." then he looks at the girl that is walking toward him and Mimi. Fuzz then steps to the side, transforms back to his original form and sat on a big cement block, his demonic tail sways back and forth and then he said," My name is Chris but everyone call me Fuzz."

The dog stalked across the rubble sniffing at the air desperately searching for food. As the dog clambered across the remains of an office building a hungry, haunted looking man stepped out of a nearby alley "Don't worry," said the man as he approached the dog "I ain't going to hurt you." The man pulled a knife out of his belt and before the dog could get away the man grabbed it by the scruff of the neck. As the man prepared to bring the knife down a shot rang out the sound echoing down the street. The man's hand suddenly dropped the knife and clutched his chest where blood was slowly spreading across his shirt.With a final groan of pain the man collapsed to the ground.
Only nine shots left, Markus sighed heavily and only two clips for the pistol.


The shop door made a large cracking noise as Markus kicked it in. All the aisles had been cleaned out. Marcus swore under his breath and checked behind the counter hoping to find something, anything useful. Finally! thought Markus picking up an unopened water bottle from the floor.

Not great, but it will do. Markus said looking down at the street below from the now fortified roof of the shop.

Fuzz smiled and said," its no problem, she just remind me of my little sister...speaking of which," then he takes the pictures out of his pocket and said," have you seen these two by any chance?" shows Eclaire the pictures.

Eclaire looked at the picture"i'm sorry..i haven't seen them"she said softly until her young daughter spoke"i have..i have"Mimi chirp up happily"i'm really sure i have..these are the same nice ladies that watched,the older woman gave me candy and the other lady around your age mama,helped heal me underground during the 2weeks we got separated". Mimiko perked up,after the world began falling apart Eclaire left Mimiko inside their old apartment building as she looked for some food,and mimiko being the curious girl that she is left looking around until she fell into a whole where she sprang her left leg lucky the two women found her and healed her up,then as soon as she was able to walk mimiko disappeared looking for her mother"and what was you walking away from the apartment"Eclaire said nagging her daughter but sigh"i guess little mimi does"she said picking up mimiko.

Fuzz was stunned that they have seen his little sister and mother then he said with a smile,"where is the entrance to the underground? We have been separated since the war started," He can now relax and be at ease that his sister and mother are alive and well.

((Fierdemon: I'm not sure if that was Lazarus's shot you were mentioning in your post, so I'll continue for now.))

Lazarus watched the deer drop to the ground through the scope, happy that it was a good, quick kill instead of having to track the thing through the city to finish it. That made things a LOT easier. But a good clean shot to the base of the skull. he wasn't worried about keeping the head/neck in good condition. He wasn't going to mount the thing on a wall. It as for survival. Laz chambered another round into the rifle quickly, looking around to make sure he hadn't alerted any feral mutants to his presence. After a moment, he stood up from his spot and headed down towards the deer as it lay on the ground. He wasn't too far from home so getting it back wouldn't be too difficult. It wasn't a huge deer, either, so that helped. He moved over to the deer, slinging his rifle across his chest as he dropped to one knee. He'd need his back clear in a second. He bound to the two sets of feet together before he hefted the beast onto his back. It was a decent sized deer, probably about 200lbs or so. He hefted it up and over his shoulders to support the weight properly before he started off toward the bunker. He'd have to field dress the thing and then make sure to bleed it before he could really butcher and preserve the meat. Slowly and steadily he rose to his feet and headed off back toward his bunker. It'd be a good night tonight, that was for sure. he might have to break out some of the grain alcohol that he'd been making.

michael came running up the street and saw fuzz talking to a young girl and a small child. "hey fuzz!" he yelled, startling some smaller animals. he came to a stop and doubled over trying to catch his breath. " i thought...you'd...come here." he panted, beads of sweat dripping off his bangs.
