If you need a confession, I’m guilty
Let’s twist the knife ‘til they can’t stop bleeding
If you think I feel sorry, forgive me

A small bead of sweat ran down the side of a lightly tanned face. Dual toned eyes blinked as deep and even breaths were taken. “One-hundred-twenty-seven… One-hundred-twenty-eight……” Strong arms pushed the lean body up from the floor of his quarters in a repetitive pattern. Finally ceasing in his morning routine, he stood up and ran a hand through thick dark locks.

The eccentric brute had been up long before the sun came up. In all honesty, he does not even recall going to sleep. A loud-incessant noise echoed through the medium sized bedroom, making a grimace morph onto his face. “s**t…” his eyes narrowed dangerously at the small alarm clock next to his bed. Not bothering to turn the alarm off, he opted for ripping the plug out from the wall.

Vincent wiped the sweat from face, neck and chest with the towel that had been draped over the chair at his small desk. He briefly wondered why it was there since he never used it for anything more than storing some of his knives in the small drawers. With a small shrug, the man tossed to towel back over the chair before leaving his bunk, not bothering to put on a shirt. “Mother F–” he put a hand over his lower abdomen, “I need to eat something…”

I'm in the business...

A small rumbling sound found it's way from Rizu's insides. She was hungry. A quick look around, showed her a lack of food. Well... It seemed things were slow today. Usually someone was around by now to drop in some food. Sure she wasn't fond overly processed chunked meat she got for her food, it didn't mean she had so many options as to be picky. Another small sigh. "Where are they...?" When she spoke, her voice was quiet. Soft, like the whisper of silks brushing together. Another rumble, this one a tad louder voiced itself. Her body needed food. Preferably meat.
With a flick of her tail she made her way to the tall steel door that kept them in. She had long since given up on trying to get the door to open. From the inside, it may as well be a solid wall. There wasn't even a handle. Quieting her breathing in a way that had much become her custom she pressed against the cold steel, a look of distaste flickering across her face. Stupid cold. Her ears strained for any sort of sound. Preferably foot-steps. Foot-steps would be a mixed blessing. They would signal the arrival of food, as well as her captors. The captors that to her, were no-longer anything more than a secondary food-source.

Of Misery.

Vince paid no mind to the food as he practically inhaled it. He did not bother to savor or even taste it. He cared not about anything but filling his stomach so it would stop rumbling in an annoyed manner. Wiping his mouth on the bag of his hand, he stretched and patted his well-toned stomach. He mentally thanked his mother for his high metabolism.

Taking a sip of coffee, he almost choked when he was reminded about bringing food to the freak pit, as he liked to call it. He definitely was not about to enjoy this. He put on a rather indifferent expression while he was in the back kitchen to get the cart of food. That indifference was quickly replaced with a deep scowl and narrowed eyes as he all but harshly wheeled the cart down the halls.

His boots thudded loudly against the cold floors. His dog tags shifted and lightly tapped against his still bare chest with every step. Once he reached the less than desired door, he unlocked it before violently forcing it open and pushing the cart through the opening. “Dig in, freaks…” He called as he stepped through after the cart and surveyed the area with a grimace. “I hate this place…”

I'm in the business...

It might have been her still grumbling stomach that kept Rizu from immediately hearing the foot-steps. And when she did hear them, she made sure to get her coils out of the way first. She had already had a bad experience with getting her tail caught under that door. So it shouldn't have been a surprise to her, when, as she was scurrying from the door, she got pegged with it. She let herself hit the ground, watching with an almost blank expression as drops of her own scarlet blood hit the floor. The front of her face was a white star-burst of pain. With a heavy, breathy sigh she pushed herself up as she heard him speak. Rather than reply as she wanted to, instead questing fingers went straight to her delicate nose, molding and prodding, trying to see if it was broken from it's encounter with the door.
When she pulled away her hand she was a bit pleased to know it hadn't been broken. It was just bleeding. The result of which was blood all over her fingers. That long serpentine tongue had the blood off of her fingers quickly. It had become a habit of hers. She found she rather liked that metallic taste. Giving the man a sullen look she near-about hissed, "You think I like it anymore?" Honestly, did he not think. Rather than vent upon him as she clearly wished, she instead tugged one of the heavier trays of meat from the cart. It wasn't even warm anymore, and it was badly prepared. In fact, most of it was fat. A quick glance showed the others to be the same. It figured, she was fed like a dog. What she wouldn't give for live prey...
"I bet all of you Special ones out there got real food..." As usual. She wouldn't take her food near him. With more grace than most people would think she had, she made her way to a spot where there were more direct rays of sunlight. Spearing one large chunk one a long nail that was more like a claw than anything else she shoved it into her mouth. She didn't bother chewing. It would keep the greasy glop in her mouth for longer. She didn't want that. As she did every morning, she had to wonder why she ate this. The answer was plain. Because she didn't have a choice.

Of Misery.

Ignoring the snide remarks from the naga, he instead turned his attention to the blood from her nose. A sly grin worked its way onto his face. “Now, now, surely I’m not too sexy for you, am I?” He let his arrogance shine brightly through his previously annoyed stature. As she slithered away to a different spot to eat, he couldn’t help but shudder slightly. It was just…. Creepy. He really hated coming here.

Vince did, however, take a moment to survey her appearance. She was not that unattractive. The major turnoffs were really the snake-like appendage and scales. The tail only threw him off for the simple fact that he did not understand how, or if she even could, she had sex. He made a mental note to ask her, but was distracted whenever he noticed what she had been forced to eat. Disgusting… was the only real word that came to mind.

“I have a question for you, snaky…” He could not care less if he was offending her in any way. “Just for curiosity’s sake… how is it exactly that you have sex?” He could not stop the perverted smirk from taking refuge on his features. It was times like this that he seemed rather shameless in his speech and actions, but whatever insults or retorts were given back to him didn’t do much more than land that person in a world of hurt. He couldn’t help but be curious to see if she could fight him.

I'm in the business...

A scowl stuck to Rizu's features at his comment. Arrogance. It was something she found more than abundant in humans in general. It always got under her skin too. "The only reason I would be interested in your form was as for lunch. It would be like a dream to have a meal that was less than half fat." With time her meals had gotten less and less appetizing. They were at this point now. Would they get worse in the future? The thought that it actually could get worse made it easier to stomach the food. The one thing she couldn't bring herself to ignore, was that it was cold. Why wasn't it even warm? It wasn't fair...
She could feel the distaste for the term 'snaky' rolling inside of her. It wasn't that she minded being called that so much. She was used to be called things much similar to that by now. But he couldn't at least be creative about it? The next question stopped her about to take a bite of food. Those pale yellow eyes glanced up, looking at him as if to say, did you seriously just ask that? A smirk of her own found it's way out. "Why do you even care Human? If you ever got that close, you would be dead. All it would take is one bite, and then I would hold you tight in my coils until you died a painful death." It was the matter-of-fact way she said it that kept it from being bragging. It was the truth, yet she couldn't help but wonder... Would this be considered instigating a captor?
A sigh left her as she choked down another bite. "For curiosity's sake though... I am capable of it. Scales cover the opening unless it's needed. Same as with a snake. Did you think I couldn't?" It was a rather ridiculous notion. If Naga women couldn't have sex, then they wouldn't be able to have children, and the species would have died out long ago. Really, all it took was a bit of logic to figure out that. She was always wondering about humans. They seemed to have no sense in them at all. How were they even still around?

Of Misery.

Light. A small crack of light came in through the hole in the wall. It was the only light she had in this chamber. She tilted her head to the side as she looked at the small stream of light coming into her room.

Another day. Her stomach growled. Food. There would be the same food today, like always. In the distance she could hear footsteps and then voices. She could even smell food. Oh, how she longed for food. When were they going to feed her?
"These humans. . ."

Sayuki stood up and started pacing. She was irritated. Where was her food!? The voices continued. It became even more irritating. She was about to snap. "WHERE THE HELL IS MY FOOD?!" She screamed. It wasn't normal for her to scream, but not having slept for a week would make a person really irritated.

<OutOfComputers: Here's Sparxi~. Oh, and Dan's dialogue will be the color Sea Green = w =/Location: Home⇛Random Junkyard/Interacting With: No one⇛Dan⇛Gigster/Current Feeling: Tired⇛A little perked up>

▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀

Sparxi was once again found at her usual position; in front of the computer, her head on the desk as she snored lightly. The newly young adult had stayed up all night working on some latest idea that came into her mind, much to her brother's constant pestering about her having a bad posture for sleeping like that. Pencils were sprawled around the desk, balled up papers were tossed about on the floor, and a robotic ball was lying near the girl's feet.

Sparxi was hardly aware of the footsteps that were approaching her since she was dead asleep. After awhile, she soon felt the gentle shaking and groaned lightly, mumbling about giving her another fifteen minutes of sleep. The shaking continued and the girl had no other choice but to slowly raise her head, blinking repeatedly for the person in front of her to have a clear focus in her view.

"How many times do I have to keep telling you to not sleep like that, Spar?" Sparxi's older brother, Dan, asked sternly, a disapproving look on his face.

Sparxi shrugged tiredly, grasping around for a scrunchie to pull her dreadlocks back. When she finally grasped it, she pulled her hair back and sat back in the chair, crossing her legs, her head tilted lightly to the side. "I'm sorry Danny. You know I try not to do this, but..."

"But you get so absorbed in your work. I know Sparxi, I know. But still, try and think about your health for once. You're a beautiful young lady, try not to let your desire to work yourself to death ruin that."

Sparxi smiled and nodded, rising up from the chair and stretching. Compared to her brother, she was just a bit shorter then him since he was 6'3". They both had dreadlocks, but Dan's were under his ear and somewhat halfway down his neck, plus, he was starting to grow a small tangle of a beard (something that Sparxi hardly found that attractive but apparently his girlfriend, Aimee, loves). He was just a little darker then her and took on more of their mother's feature with his eyes, nose, and lips compared to Sparxi who looked more like her dad.

Sparxi started picking up after herself, noticing the mess she had left behind. When she tried to pick up the robotic ball, it uncurled itself and soon returned to it's robotic chipmunk form. Sparxi sat Gigster on the chair and continued cleaning up as the little robot looked at her with curious eyes.

"Why are you up so early anyway?" Sparxi asked Dan curiously, not even looking at her brother, "Usually you're still asleep around then. Plus, you hate waking up early." There was no response for a few seconds as Sparxi continued cleaning. When she threw most of the crumpled up papers in a small trash can, her brother finally responded.

"They needed me down there to work on something," Dan answered, from the tone of his voice was not really excited about it. Sparxi thought it was because Dan couldn't get to base at the time he normally did. "I don't know what it's about since it's technically classified, but it has to be important that they need me to come this early and not sleep the hell in."

Sparxi watched as her brother walked towards the door, his hand on the doorknob before pausing. He turned back to look at Sparxi, "I shouldn't be home too late, but I'll probably see you there later on today since you're usually there a lot. Love you Sparx. See you later." He gave a small wave to his sister, which was returned back, before closing the door. Sparxi walked over and locked the bottom lock before sitting back in the chair, making Gigster have to run away for safety.

I wonder what they have set up for Dan, Sparxi thought as she turned the chair to face the computer. She moved the mouse around until the screen popped up and showed the document that had her latest blueprint. She read through everything and realized that most of the materials she needed weren't going to be available at home and she definitely didn't feel like bothering Lt. Colonel Roice, a close personal friend of her late parents, for access to anything that the military had. A smile grew on her face and Gigster just looked curiously at the girl.

"You ready to go to the junkyard today, Gig?" Sparxi asked, that same smile on her face as her robotic chipmunk soon started running in excited circles. The behaviour was more like a dog, which Sparxi didn't really understand, but also didn't really care about. She stood up from the seat and walked to her room, which was next to Dan's and across from their shared bathroom. She looked around until she found her towel and then walked across the room to the shower, closing the door.

After about fifteen minutes in the shower, Sparxi walked back to her room and closed the door, even though she was the only one in the apartment that she and her brother shared. Her walls had no special color to them, but her room was filled with different gadgets that she made or that she and her brother made, books, tools, blue prints, posters, and a few pictures of her family. She walked over to her dresser and pulled out a somewhat tight fitting white t-shirt and some long dirty brown cargo pants. She walked over to her closet, taking out her light yellow Converse sneakers, a baby yellow hoodie, and a medium shade gray hat that she stuck her hair in.

When she was completely dressed, she grabbed one of her bags that would be big enough for the job, made sure she had her keys, her phone, and her wallet before walking out the apartment and locking the door, Gigster following closely behind her before running up her leg and sitting on her shoulder. At first, it was a little surprising when Gigster first did that, but Sparxi was now used to it after having Gigster around for five years.

Sparxi walked around happily, humming a tune she remembered her mom singing as she ventured off to the junkyard. When Sparxi first started doing this, Dan was overly worried because he kept thinking of the worst possible outcome if she all alone by herself in a junkyard. However, as Sparxi made those trips more often, Dan eventually calmed down, just a little bit. Sparxi's junkyard visits were always the best because not only did she tend to find the things she was looking for, after looking in about three different junkyards, but she always found interesting things to tinker with. In the course of her junkyard adventures, Sparxi has only been able to find about ten. She knew there was more, but she didn't have a good enough map to find them all.

The walk seemed to go on for awhile, but eventually, the familiar shape of the junkyard was coming clearer. Sparxi stopped humming and quickened her steps, not knowing why she felt so excited every time she got close to a junkyard. She always found it as a strange thing. Gigster jumped off her shoulder and was know running around, trying to find any delicious metal that he could gnaw on while Sparxi walked past the gate and walked towards the mound on the right.

Gigster stopped, his sensitive robotic smell picking up a scent of delicious metal that was off in the direction where the imprisoned non-humans were kept at, much to both Sparxi's and Gigster's ignorance of that fact. The small robotic chipmunk ran back to Sparxi who was now throwing some pieces of scrap any which way.

The smirk never dropped from his face. “I’ll take that as a compliment….” Vince arrogantly ran his hand down his own abdomen, stopping at the edge of his pants. He let out an amused chuckle at his own response. Her reaction was more than enough to keep him egging on the conversation, just to see how far he could go. It honestly wasn’t that he necessarily cared about it. He was just curious, and the subject of sex was something that the brute had no problem voicing any curiosity that happened to catch his interest. “Sounds kinda kinky, ne~” He wriggled his eyebrows suggestively, making his piercing glint slightly.

He let out another chuckle before leaning on the cart. “Of course I knew you could…. I was just curious as to how…” there was an extra emphasis to the last word. He was not as dimwitted as many had already pegged him as. The screaming from the other girl caught him off guard a bit. The ever so perverted smirk morphed into a deep scowl. The nerve some people had to demand things of him. “Damn b***h…” he muttered under his breath. “If you want it, you can come get it yourself!” He shouted back in an annoyed manner. He wasn’t going to risk going into a room and getting cornered. He suppressed a shudder at the memory of the last time he had been cornered. He would be damned if he let that happen again.

I'm in the business...

There was just something about him that made Rizu want to slap that damned smirk off of his face. He just oozed arrogance from every pore of his body. Keeping her own irritation down, rather than say anything, she focused on swallowing down another chunk of meat, this one particularly fatty. She found it help to not look at what she ate. The food was a heavy lump in her stomach. She would probably doze in the sun after this, if she could... As she went to spear another chunk of meat she heard his next comment. A flick of the wrist sent the greasy meat flying. Her aim was good that morning, it landed on his boot.
"If you want to call it that I won't bother to stop you. I have found it rather pointless to change other's opinions." She was considering just how hungry she would end up if she dumped the rest of her slop over his head. She wasn't even sure what this mystery meat was. She did not put it past humans, to give her artificial meat. They wouldn't understand the need for it to be real... And warm. "How? Easily, that's how. But I can understand curiosity... Even if it is annoying curiosity." She didn't so much mind answering questions of the kind. Usually if most weren't too jumpy because of her they asked such things. She just couldn't figure out why that particular one was as common as it was.
The yelling however, did not take her much off guard. Sayuki had been a bit more irritable lately. Something about sleep, if memory served right. "Did they lock you in again Sayuki? Just because you are tired does not make it smart to egg them on you know..." When she raised her voice, it was still as whispery, but not as quiet, and the louder she spoke, the more of a hint of a hiss, the s's developed. She usually tried to somewhat look out for the newer or younger ones. She had the most experience after all, which made it her duty. "If they locked her in again you will have to let her out so she can eat. They confiscate my lock picks every time the pen me back up in here..." She wasn't about to mention how she felt like a garden snake trapped in a plastic tank. Always trying to get out, no mater how impossible it was.

Of Misery.

Decidedly ignoring the chunk of meat, if you could even call it that, that had landed on his shoe. He wasn’t in the mood to pick a fight he would most definitely lose. He had no idea what this chick was capable of. He recalled her comment on biting and death. She was probably loaded down with venom. Dots were quickly and efficiently being connected in that mind of his. The expression on his face betrayed that entirely as he simply glared at the snake woman. She seemed fairly calm up until now. The only real evidence of her annoyance with him was the snide remarks and the small chunk of mystery substance that had landed on his boot.

“You’ve gotta be joking me…” he chuckled sarcastically. He was muttering curses under his breath. With an annoyed sigh, he reached into his back pocket and produced a pack of cigarettes. He effectively lit one and took a deep drag before blowing out a large swirl of smoke. His shoulders relaxed visibly as he grabbed the keys that were given to him before he was assigned this bottom line task. “Let’s get her out now shall we….” He said in the most condescending tone he could muster. Arrogance seemed to be one of the girls peeves, so he decided to keep playing on it.

He carelessly wheeled the cart over towards Sayuki’s door. Unlocking it and forcing it open, not caring if she was behind it like Rizu had been earlier. “Bon appétit…. Or however the hell you say it…” He pushed the cart inside her room so she could get the food that she had so politely asked for. He stood outside the door, trying to keep a good eye on the snake as well. He hated being cornered, and that is exactly how he felt.

I'm in the business...

The glare that was directed her way, only made Rizu smile in return. She had wondered when he would figure out she was venomous. After all, it was the only thing that made sense. He hadn't reacted to her earlier comments, so that ruled out that being the source of the glare. If it were the meat, he would have at least bothered to remove it from his shoe. So he must have figured out that she might easily beat him if she tried. Might easily kill him. It only served to encourage her. Maybe this morning would be fun after all.
As the grey smoke swirled into the air, her nose wrinkled. He had to smoke, didn't he? She wanted to snatch the stick of lung rot from his lips and grind it into the floor. It was a disgusting filthy habit... And all things considered it rather suited him. She hoped he got lung cancer. "What do you mean we? It's not my job to make sure she gets fed." Her voice was just filled with lazy pleasure that was meant to needle those. It wasn't a snide comment... But it sure as ******** sounded like one.
Maybe it was just something about this lovely patch of sun she had found that was putting her in a troublesome mood, but she rather felt like twisting the mans tail, so to speak. The smallest of smirks crossed her features. This might be fun... Settling down her food off to the side, she twisted in a way that most humans would find painful, to slip under her own coils. Much quicker than most would think anyone could move, she had shifted herself behind him. Not close, but not far from him. Within reach to bite, should she choose to strike properly. Rather than strike she laid on her stomach on the sun warmed ground, settling her chin in her hand, watching him, eyes only half interested. She still smiled, showing off lethal fangs in the process.

Sayuki sneered. "You know very well I would. And it wouldn't be what's on the cart for that matter." Such annoying humans. He was one of the ones who could piss her off without saying a word.

Sayuki was pacing even faster.
"Try staying up for a week with barely any food in your stomach, then talk to me." If Rizu was in her situation, she would have felt the same way. It wasn't easy to control herself in such situations. Her self control was at a minimum.

She knew she was overreacting, but what could she do? It wasn't something she control. It was just her nature. She heard the footsteps come closer. She backed away from the door. She really would have got the food herself if they hadn't taken all her tools away. She couldn't even open the door with water because of her exhaustion.

The moment the cart entered the room, she snatched it. The food may have been disgusting but it was food. She glared at him and went to the wall to eat. "You humans are slow, to say the least." Her ice blue eyes gazed directly into his own.

Vince had managed to remain unfazed by both women, physically anyway. He was starting to panic just a bit. Dual toned eyes glanced back and forth between Sayuki and Rizu. He had to stop himself from jumping when he glanced to see Rizu behind him. He scowled slightly. He was incapable of any form of stealth, and it was obvious that he was not fond of being snuck up on. “Sneaky one, eh?” He tried to play it off more as a joke. Picking a fight in these conditions would certainly be the end of him. Sure, he knew that they would certainly be reprimanded if he went missing, but there were a few higher ups that would be glad to see him gone and likely not do anything about it. Even still… There had to be some way of getting on their good side, if at least for the time being.

“Heh…” He smirked and leaned on the cart again, “You two certainly are lovely aren’t you?” A little charm couldn’t hurt too badly now could it? He would have to hope he was playing his cards right. “How about I cut you a little deal, ne~” He had to play off of what they gave him. Something that he could pull off…. Food. They seemed to like food. He mentally face palmed at that thought. Of course they liked food. What living creature didn’t? Then a small spark hit him. They obviously did not like the food that was served to them. Well… he could tell that Rizu didn’t anyway. It was harder for him to tell with Sayuki.

“I can get you something better to eat…. That is, if you don’t gang up on me and... for lack of better terms, spew my blood and guts all over the place…” He said it with such nonchalance, as if he were discussing the weather. Of course, he would never discuss the weather with anyone. What was there to discuss? Stuff either falls from the sky or doesn’t.

He probably wouldn’t do it. It would be someone else’s turn to feed them later, and by the time it had gotten back to him, they will have forgotten about his little deal. He hoped that would be the case. Surely there were other, much more arrogant, humans who would make them forget all about him. Mentally racking his brain he glanced back and forth between the two women with the smuggest look he could put up. He could only hope that they would take this little lie of his and he could leave happily, and, for the most part, in one piece.

I'm in the business...

Rizu would keep herself silent in regards to Sayuki. She knew very well that hungry could make one testy, and she wouldn't get on the other girls nerves intentionally when she was hungry. Better to play it safe. At his comment about being sneaky, she smiled wider, showing more teeth. "That I am. It's what I do. I specialize in stealth... I better be sneaky, or I would be dead..." She didn't mind telling him what she did. If it was a secret, he wouldn't be in this military. Besides, his reaction told her that that would bug him even more. And she loved getting on human's nerves after they had put her here. And the more she learned of him, the easier it got to get on his.
Her smile was quick to vanish though. "You Sir, are a bad liar. When you came in here you called us freaks. If that were your opinion you wouldn't find us attractive. Be more consistent with your lies, or don't lie at all. The big kiddies in the pool might drown you." She still spoke in that matter-of-fact tone she had used earlier. She wouldn't immediately turn down his deal. She would at least hear him out. And then she might toy with the idea of reminding him how utterly un-trustworthy human-beings in general were.
As her heart skipped a bit at the thought of better food, she tried to keep her face bland, a smirk creeping up at the idea of spilling his blood. With a little sigh she pushed herself up from the ground, hoping to use the motion to keep one from noticing the activities of her coils, which were, at that moment, sliding from their sprawled position over the ground. She moved with all the silence of one heavily-accustomed to using stealth. "You know... There is something funny about trust..." Quicker than could be, she tightened her coils around him, bringing herself nice and close to him. She could feel the warmth from him.
"You can never find it in humans... So whats to say that you will keep your word? Really for me there is no difference either way. Either you stay here and be my new breakfast, or you keep your word, and bring me something better. Either way I get warm food..." That long serpentine tongue flicked out, grazing past his cheek. A smirk lit her face. "I can taste it in the air you know... Fear... You don't like us. You don't trust us. So why should I even let you leave?" She tightened her grip on him a bit then, as if she were considering crushing the air out of him.

Of Misery.
