[Royal Guard Aidian Kyros]

Welcome to Legend of Lost Legacy

Our castle is set in Europe at an abandoned castle left over from the hundred years war. We are surrounded by water on all sides but the north. This guild was created years ago by two men, Aidian Kyros and Samurai Kyo, but was destroyed when multiple enemy soldiers attacked Kyo and Aidian. They killed Kyo and Aidian was beaten nearly to death. A man by the name of Hellsing saved the beaten Aidian before he died, and used demonic healing powers to keep him alive. These powers brought new strengths to Aidian, and even though he was human, he was stronger than most. With this new strength, Aidian defended Hellsing until Hellsing's death. Afterwards, he set out to recreate his lost guild.
And now, he has created it. He hopes that one day, it will become more powerful than any other military in the world.

This is a spearman. He is more proficeint with a spear than a sword. They normally fight with the warriors (above) after the Phalanx clears an entry path



This is our standard archer. They stay back and fire flaming or nonflaming arrows at the enemy from behind the Phalanx

The Greek Phalanx

Phalanx organization.

The Greek phalanx was a column formation of heavy infantry carrying long spears, or pikes, and swords. The pikes were six to twelve feet long, much longer than spears of the past. Men in the phalanx carried a round shield called a hoplon, from which the infantry took their name, hoplites. The hoplites wore metal armor on their chests, forearms, and shins at least, plus a metal helmet that covered the head down to the neck. The addition of armor classified the hoplites as heavy infantry, as opposed to light infantry that wore little or no armor. A typical phalanx unit was ten men across the front rank and ten men deep, but many such units were combined into one larger unit.

The phalanx was an offensive infantry formation for hand-to- hand shock combat. It usually fought without light troop or cavalry support, which should have been an important disadvantage, but the Greeks largely ignored these auxiliary troops. As long as they fought among themselves, lack of missile troops and cavalry was not a problem.

The heavy infantry on each side in a battle would close with each other at a deliberate pace, maintaining formation. When the opposing phalanxes came together, the first several ranks would lower their pikes and the two sides would thrust at each other, attempting to strike an unprotected area on an opponent. The pike points of several men in a file could project beyond the front rank. Men in the front were simultaneously attacked by several spears.

The Greek armies of the period 700 to 400 BC may have been the only ones in history to rely completely on shock tactics. The clash of phalanxes was resolved entirely in hand-to-hand fighting. The city-state of Sparta was the recognized master of phalanx warfare. The entire state was organized as a military camp. All non-serf males served in the Spartan phalanx and trained at length.Because the hoplites carried their shields on their left arm, the phalanx was most exposed on its right side. For that reason, the best phalanx units were positioned normally on the right side of the army. Battles often became a contest to see which army's right wing would first destroy the other side's left wing.

Phalanx armies were susceptible to missile and cavalry attacks from the right and rear, but only if the enemy had these units and used them.Phalanx warfare reached its peak in two great fifth-century wars: the war with Persia at the start of the century and the Peloponnesian War near its end. In both wars, sea power played a crucial role, but land fighting centered on the phalanx.

The Peloponnesian War was a Greek civil war for the dominance of Greece between the sea-oriented Athenians and the land-based Spartan League. One major lesson of the war was the inability of the phalanx to be strategically decisive. Heavy infantry alone could not capture cities once the battle outside the walls had been won.

The war with Persia was especially interesting because the Greek phalanx, the finest heavy infantry in the world at the time, faced an integrated army of infantry, skirmishers, and cavalry. The Persians and Assyrians before them backed their infantry with auxiliary troops of every kind. They were also advanced in the art of siege warfare.The two great land battles of the Persian war occurred at Marathon in 490 BC and Plataea in 479 BC. At both battles a smaller Greek army consisting almost entirely of heavy infantry was victorious. Historians generally agree that Greek discipline and training were greatly responsible for these results, but admit that they were also at least partly due to Persian mistakes and incompetence.

At both battles the Persians had substantial light troops and cavalry that should have been effective against the massed phalanx formations. The Persian army at Plataea contained 10,000 cavalry, for example. At both battles, however, the auxiliary troops were poorly used and ineffective, allowing the Greek heavy infantry to defeat the weaker Persian infantry and achieve victory. Greek heavy infantry morale was not significantly reduced prior to the moment of shock. When the two infantries clashed, the Greeks were able to overwhelm the Persian infantry and drive it from the field.

The Greeks resisted the conversion of their heavy infantry armies to integrated armies into the late fourth century. Despite much evidence that the phalanx was at a disadvantage when facing skirmishers and surrounded by cavalry, the concept of the phalanx was too important a fixture of their culture. The phalanx had won the Persian war, with the help of the navy, and Greek heavy infantry served with distinction as mercenaries in surrounding lands. It took a clear demonstration of the system's weakness to bring it to an end. That demonstration was carried out by invaders from Macedonia under the leadership of Philip, father of Alexander the Great

Weapons: My sword, Takashi which is made from dragon metal. Dragon metal burns whatever it touches (human or not) and is even more effective on demons.

Also my two pistols, Sehnsuct(Longing) and Engel(Angel) which are modified to have single shot, three round burst, and full automatic firing capabilities. They are both silver and have their names engraved on them. The shells for my pistols are depleted uranium hollow points(explosive) with a mixture of silver nitrate and mercury(adds weight and power to the shell).
And lastly I have a recreational pistol called a La Matte. It is an old style revolver that uses nine shots and has a shotgun barrel underneath the regular barrel (this is a real pistol in real life)

Bio: I was found outside of a destroyed town at the age of twelve, and was raised by a family I called my own. The day they died, I found out that the were not trully my family. They told me my family had been killed years and years ago, in the town I was found beside. After their death, I roamed the earth, trying to find a link to my past. So far I have found one person, my brother Aidian. Together we set up a guild in which warriors are welcome, hoping that this will eventually draw our sister, the last Kyros that remains undiscovered

Abilities: The Ability to sprout wings making him 5 times more powerful and faster however the longer he is in this form the more his energy is drained, if he uses it in excess of 5 minutes his life force will be drained and death is very possible. Can shoot a ball of fire from his mouth and can create a ball of energy in his hand which he uses to literally obliterate things (must be used in melee cannot be thrown)
Bio: He is a Hunter of Demonic and Vampiric creatures, he is said to have been sent by God. Although he is utterly ancient he looks about 16, he is strong and smart but uses his power very quickly, he is always calm and doesn't let things get to him. He sometimes seems cold and emotionless but this is not the case, he keeps all emotions inside. It is said that he was given the wings from God to aid him in his fight against Lucifer (the Devil) Who had found a way to give himself and his minions wings.
History: Said to be trained by Gabriel and worked side by side with Azazeal the head of the fallen angels until he turned to work with Lucifer, he watched them kill Gabriel and swore that he would have his vengence. Since that battle 2000 years ago he has searched for the two but with no luck, meanwhile he strives to vanquish all those who would try to destroy God, namely the "evil" Demons. Since weapons such as firearms were made, he took to using them as an alternative means of killing the demons, he himself prefered the more "honourable" weapons of the past centuries but knows that he must "move with the times" and use the modern weapons to his advantage.

Bio: Syfka's life isn't much to be recalled by her. She was born the night a young woman gave her life to save Syfka's dying race. Her first memories are somewhat of a haze to her. She can recall some of her friends when she first woke up but not much more before that. They say she was in the body of a woman named Kira, who was a demon but a hunter of demons. Kira was said to have given her life to save Syfka's dying race of Dark Hybrids, and that Kira wasn't supposed to die but to live on with Syfka in the same body, fighting as one. Somewhere along the line, Kira's soul just gave up and let go. Syfka was hated at first for not being the woman everyone had loved, she was expected to remember all who were around her when she never met them at all. Poor Syfka was seen as an outcast because she was in no way the Kira everyone cared about. After a while the friends of the late Kira began to accept Syfka and grew to love her. She felt accepted but only just. No one could possibly love a moster such as her. She's ment to walk the lonely road of her life alone.
