"In the shadows we will walk..."
The year is 1958, and the city of Arkham rests.
While it's citizens believe it to be just another day of crime on the streets, little do they suspect their city has fallen to a war like no other. This wasn't any normal mafia turf war, this was a turf war between mythical beings.
Demons from Hell itself have leaked through into the mortal world, some through exile, and others purely for their own enjoyment. Earth holds some easily obtained pleasures, as long as you knew where to find them. Some demons find that mortal minds are so fun to toy with, and I guess, being stuck in the Underworld for so long, some just want to stretch their legs for a while.
While these demons come from the same realm, this doesn't mean they're the best of friends necessarily, many in fact despise each other, based through personality or just type of demon. This split the demons into separate groups, which later became Families. Each Family with their own strengths, desires and weaknesses. Each fighting for dominance over the others.
Whatever your aspirations are, any demon worthy enough may join the fight...
But as these beings quarrel, it has caught the attention that the chaos had become too out of hand. God sent down Angels to control the matter, as Demons being allowed to do whatever they wanted was a recipe for disaster. These Angels have posed themselves in the Police Department, in hope to try to fix the situation... but can a few Angels really stop so many Demons?
