Aged Cleric

User ImageEva did not retreat a step as the massive Spartan approached her with anger in his voice, and surroundings. 'Dam him, anyway.' She thought, and then expected her to pray. Everyone thought she was not respecting the armor, when it was not there place. Sure their Spartan pride over flowed the brim of the glass, but this was not her choice, nor did she care about what others thought. It pissed her off enough that people assumed that is what she was granted the armor was a tall tell sign. If there ever was such a thing as a half spartan, she would be it. Her ODST brothers had at first treated her differently until they saw what she could do.

Everyone judgmental... It was a pain, but something she was starting to accept. Sure the words the massive man were saying were beautiful, but they were not her's. She did not really belong to any group other then the squad she was currently working with. She had bounced around so often that she never formed a 'family bond' with any group other then the closest would be ODST. She felt at least accepted, and no longer judged. Now this whole new group.

The other male Spartan who she had tagged as the Godfather, ran off into the ship. She nodded to the massive man, and ran past him, having to use the suites power to keep up. Her foot falls were as quite as her name suggested, and she was able to move about without being picked up. She waited for the rest of the group to follow suite, and watched as the Lt. made it up to her 'over watch potion'. Though in a ship it was kind of pointless, but she did her job. Eva was sure that her back would be covered, and that she would be given enough support from the other female officer to move nearly freely threw the ship. Eva's night vision flickered, again from the damage it had sustained, but remained working for now. She hit the side of her helmet, and it flickered back to life again.

Following, she watched as the Spartan took a knee, and ran his hand into the ash. She knew what it was, but what caused it? She had no idea. She took a reading with whatever she had and it scanned the air. Biological, and Covenant alike. She narrowed her eyes, and wondered what kind of weapon would of caused such damage. Granted it could of been when one of the cores had exploded. That was a possibility. She brought up her Battle rifle, and scanned the area much like the Godfather, and followed him to the battered blast doors. She too caught the broadcast, but could not translate it.

Eva reacted calmly as the gun fire erupted, and she turned to face it. Her gun was already up and level, so she was ready for whatever was going to come threw the doors, but took note that the fight was on the inside. Once inside, the man had been blinded for a moment until the Spartan set the light on low.

The Godfather made contact with a small group of soldiers, one of which died in the Corporal's arms. Eva looked over the man, and could see he had seen hell. Eva turned to face the Corporal, and then removed her helmet. It was very unspartan like, but again. She was not one. Her voice hitting the bloodied, and gun smoke filled air. Her brown eyes met the Marine's and she gave him a serious look, but there was sympathy there. "I am sorry for your loss Corporal. He will be berried with honors." She placed her hand upon his shoulder and turned towards the chyro tube, and took in the information.

Her braid fell low to her mid back, and she looked young, but had age in her eyes. She was nearly half a size smaller then the Spartan in the room, and even more then that then the Elite who followed soon after. She took in everything. The bodies, and the empty chyro tube. It was John's and in a way that was not a bad thing. He was still out there. Granted. He was just one man. Sure he was a legion of a man, but only a man. "Not a Myth Corporal, but standing in front of you. He is still flesh and blood. There are two others as well. We also have an Elite with us. So please don't shoot him. The quicker you process this, the faster we can move on." She said, and turned again to face him, putting her helmet on. Her night vision clicking on after a moment nearly too long.

"Godfather"

Godfather looked at the ODST and twitched his disapproval. He didn't mind her, but her trust needed to be earned, it wasn't given. Godfather turned and searched the room sweeping it before coming to the A.I. terminal and checking it. As he registered it empty he tightened his hands into a ball and punched the console hard, the power shorting out as it received the punch the metal denting. Godfather watched the marine as he pushed himself to his feet and sniffled wiping his face of the soot and dirt that had covered it. He cleared his throat and rubbed his neck before turning to face the ODST still taking it all in. Godfather touched the comms on his helmet and broadcasted his message to the other two spartans.

"New mission parameters. A.I.:Cortana and Sierra Zero One One Seven are now officially M.I.A. Op is a bust. Regroup and ready for exfil in five mikes."

Godfather wasn't happy in the slightest. He turned and motioned for the ODST and the marine to follow his lead as he stepped from the room his rifle sweeping as he began to make his way out of the ship.
