Welcome to Gaia! ::

He reached into the left breast pocket and pulled out a PDA. He shook it slightly in his right hand.

Everything right here. Long-range wireless connection to the general's office. All it needs is a signature from a high-ranking GPD official, preferably the commissioner.
Right. The inspector inclined his head slightly upwards, in frustration. If only he'd still been working back in the home front; the government's people always took the precautions to go through the necessary channels ahead of time. With a local police force, though, there was a lot left to be desired. "Preferably the commissioner...I would be able to provide the signature, but that raises the question whether the rank of lieutenant is sufficient enough." He folded his arms.

((And now we play the waiting game for Tac, unless...))
With a few more clinks, the figure approached where the two men were standing. He raised his head slightly and recognized the man in fatigues. He pulled a white folded peice of paper out of his jacked.
Cleric Pei
((And now we play the waiting game for Tac, unless...))

((What an eventful night! Time for me to sleep now. Good night everybody biggrin ))
(('Night, Boxah.))
Hm. I see where that would present a problem..

He frowned slightly.
"That's unfortunate. I assure you that I would have it within the commissioner's confidence that pooling resources would be in the best interest of the department. Yet it seems there needs to be someone's initials on the line for its own sake, on occasion. You know how things go." Adjusting something on his utility belt, he nodded to the PDA. "If you are willing, I can synchronize my interface so that an electronic signature can be patched through as soon as possible." It went without saying that the channel would be encrypted and free of any possible external manipulation.

There was a slight inclination of his head as the jingling of spurs finally approached and stopped, as he watched the other figure produce a slip of paper from the corner of his eye.
Nodding slowly, the pilot handed over the PDA.

That would be amenable.
With a somewhat lowered tone the figure slide the paper towards the assumed receptionist "I need this to get to the commissioner. He kept one hand on letter and the other on his belt, to which was attatched a holster for a gun; which in turn had a .357 revolver in it. Should anyone ask, he had a permit and was qualified to carry a concealed weapon.
((Tacitus would like you all to wait up with the signing and what not while he reads the last few pages and tries to sort all the stuff out.))
(fair enough. -dicks around-)
"Excellent." Taking the PDA in his bandaged hand, he aligned it with the interface console on his utility belt. With the click of a switch and a mechanical chirp, the inspector handed it back to the pilot, nodding. "As aforementioned, you will be notified within the dawn, if not earlier." The visual overlays in his sight blinked, notifying that the encrypted sync had gone through.

Still facing the pilot, he took the white paper that contrasted against the other figure's rugged countenance. The figure's revolver glinted at Pei from its sturdy leather holster. It was no surprise that civilians possesed firearms too, nor should it have been. Besides, the eight-shot magnum that dangled from the handcuff on the inspector's left wrist was chambered in .357 as well. "This will be notarized and sent to the commissioner as soon as possible." He slipped the folded note into his lapel pocket.

((Cool. *dicks around too*))
Nodding as well, the pilot turned and walked toward the street, where a Humvee should be arriving shortly...
"Fair enough..." The figure turned around, placing the free hand in his pocket, and followed the man in fatigues out, staying on him rather tightly.
(-waiting on Tac to get on so he can sign this here thingie-)
