Bane Incarnation
Rufus quirks a brow. He almost has to chuckle at the simplicity of it all. This Torment was able to maintain himself despite any subtle hint of a threat. He looks down, slightly curious to see if he remembered to send the strange barrier underground as well. That would be a very difficult task, however. It could very well destabalize the ground they stand upon to try it. Instead, Rufus tilts his head. He's not done talking, just yet.
Ah. You seem to think that all I ever want to do is fight. Heh... Tell me...why do you think I came here?
Ah. You seem to think that all I ever want to do is fight. Heh... Tell me...why do you think I came here?
Torment shook his head, "You misunderstand me, sir. I have no intention of fighting unless you give me just cause. These wings come with the territory, they are no less a part of me than the gore on the Jen is of yourself. As for your intentions, I couldn't care less if someone paid me. This conversation isn't about your intention, but about my own. So tell me, I've made no hostile actions against you, and have even applauded your efforts, which means so very little, why am I here? Am I here to kill you? Well, if I was then at least a couple body parts would be less than attached by now. When killing I'm far more direct than this. Nay, my intentions pass beyond this mortal coil which so many seem to be tied down to. Strings tieing mortals to time and space, reality and life. I come simply to ask you to leave. Your opposition, Edymion, I haven't seen or heard a word about him in some time. Leave Gaia and spread to other reaches of the multiverse. This place is not the only which must have havoc. Seek out Viper if need be. Find a way to end the multiverse for all I care. Your continued presense in Gaia could cause some...interesting feedback. Regardless of your overall intentions you are rank with destruction. A war is brewing against you, my friend. I offer you only this advice, leave before it is ensured you will never be able to. I assure you, if you stay then you will not survive. If I can keep you contained in this space for any small length of time a collaberative effort among those of non-neutral alignments against you would surely find ways of containment. Possibly even utter destruction."
There was no threat in his words, merely a voice of reason and aid to one that would certainly meet their doom in due time. If Torment had to convince Rufus of the fact, he would, but he wasn't overly fond of doing so. As his speech concluded his head fell to look to the earth, a quick flash passing across the grasses as his wings burst into flame.
