Welcome to Gaia! ::

From down an alley, Vince stumbbled out, dressed in nothing more than a bandage on his stomach, and a pair of pants. If one looked, they could see blood dribbling from a hole in his pants, and another hole in the bandages, from which blood was also dribbling. He stumbled to the ground, then slowly, he stood back up. In his left hand was a small .38 calibur revolver, which was the only thing Vince could find on his way out. He didn't even have a full cylinder of ammunition. He could barely see where he was going, his vision blurring in and out as he stumbled forward again.
Shar's sights fall upon Vince, drawn not by any link between them, but the pain in the air. He almost seemed to feast upon the sweet smell of blood, which it may not have been able to reach him, he could tell was there. He slowly stood up on the ledge and spread his arms out wide. With a brief hop he pushed himself up and forward, enough to send him into a spinning dive. He looked straight down at his seeming impending doom, laughing to himself as he fell, knowing what the results would be. At his angle of descent and speed he was going to crash into the ground and splatter all over the room in between the traffic. People screamed as they saw him fall, some seemed impressed by his balls, dieing in traffic; That'd close off the road for hours. As he seemed to collide with the earth a cloud of fine dust sprayed outwards, momentarily lit up by the lights of a speeding vehicle, which quickly swerved to no avail, confused at what had just happened.

In the confusion the small red orb darted into the alley and a man with vibrant blue hair could be seen running in the direction Vince had been spotted. It would be mere moments before his arrival in the shadows behind the ex-cop.
Vincent didn't have time to stop for jumpers. hell, it wasn't even his job anymore. Instead, he found it better to duck into an alley, and check his gun. His vision blurred out for a split second, then back in. Three shots. Wouldn't do s**t to most people. Piss'm off, probably. So instead, he opted to trail down the alley, shoving the small revolver in his pocket.
Vince passed by Shar in the boundaries between light and dark, and as man that seemed to be the Archmagi returned to the shadows he spoke in a voice that was of Torment, "So...you are this, Vincent Colbini. Seeing you with mine own eyes is an event indeed. The smell of your blood sweetens the air, why is this?"
He coughed, and blood found it's way out of his mouth. Well, it wasn't his liver, but it sure as hell hit the lower end of his stomcah, he looked up to the other, and slowly reached into his pocket. "Being wanted doesn't do too much for my health, ya know?"

whee I'll go out on a limb, here, and say that reception is open to walk into... If wrong, bleh.

<Well now... Arius, we should take our chance, now.>

The referance, in his mind, to the plural is a royal use. Arius smirks before plastering a look of raw pain onto his face. Afterall, it would not do to have whoever might await him inside believe he is not nearly as injured as he is...or is at least enjoying the pain. Afterall, it could reveal who he really is...as if these peons could ever deduce anything like that. Arius walks into the buzz in room and begins pounding the door into reception. He uses his left hand, previously holding his pretty well busted right arm, to pount, and his own blood, having been collected by the leather material of his gloves, splatters where Arius pounds.

Help me! I'm being... I'm being hunted! I don't know how long it'll be...before he finds me!
Shar chuckled, "I wouldn't know anything about it. My other half might, and his wife. I'm supposed to be keeping watch on a few people who are in the area, your description matched one of them. The fact that you're a wanted ma..." He was interupted as a flash of light pierced the darkness of the alleyway, disrupting his form. When it passed he had returned, cracking his neck a bit before continuing, "Where was I? Ah yes, the fact that you're a wanted man leads me to believe perhaps you've fallen from grace. I know its not my place to extend an invitation, but Torment's house is rather large. We already have one houseguest, aside from myself, another wouldn't be looked down upon. Besides, you need healing, something I cannot provide."
Vincent shifted on his feet. "********..." He couldn't finish his sentence, as he had been interupted withdoubling over and hacking up some blood. "I," Cough, "guess that'd be a good idea. If you're supposed to be watching me, then I hope you have cigarettes, as preparation."
Shar laughed, "Where would I hold them?" He stuck his hand into the light and it disappeared, then put his hand through something solid nearby, "I ain't really sonny. I might not be an illusion, but I'm not solid. Think of me as part of Torment's soul thats out and about, if you must. If you'll excuse me, one of the three people I'm watching for is nearby, I can smell him from here." He closed his eyes as he stepped into the light, becoming little more than a pulsating red orb. The pulsating increased in intensity ten fold as it shifted to a vibrant blus that cast light into the alleyway, instead of feeding on the darkness. As the pulsating slowed the orb remained purely blue, and after a moment flames expanded out from it to create the shape of a firebird of the brightest blue hues. When the flames faded Torment stood there, hunched over and missing all his clothing but his pants, "You...have...any idea...how much you suck? Kalie...sucks too,...but in a much better way. She's...at least...good at it. God I hate that." He stretched, arching his back as his head turned to the sky, a snap of his fingers ending with a flash that enclosed his body with clothing as he continued staring upwards, "Its night here...hmm...odd." He tossed Vince a coin and then turned towards the streets, the direction of the GPD, "I have something to take care of, use the coin. Go home. Daize and the Scum won't leave this place without at least having a chat." He left Vince there and disappeared into the skies.

Help me! I'm being... I'm being hunted! I don't know how long it'll be...before he finds me!

The receptionist blinks at the small window through which the man can be seen, noting he seems to be rather frantic. She makes a motion, pointing downwards, wanting him to look downward, obviously. In order to begin a conversation with the receptionist the buzz-in button must be depressed, which would either querry officers for passage or open an intercom. Either way initiates the scanning procedures of the Buzz-in room, and thus the receptionist usually does not initiate an intercom conversation.
If he had no control of his faculties, a smirk might have crossed Arius' lips right now. He, however, looks every part the hapless man who's been injured and, at least, believes he's being hunted. His condition, however, would put that at a distinct possibility. His eyes dart around in their respective socket before he "realizes" what the receptionist was indicating. Arius may have fgured it out a while ago, but it's good to put on a believable show. In this case, it fully is.

The racoon-animorph nearly bumrushes the window before coming to a complete halt. He leans his body's right side against the wall to support his arm, and, as the protruding bone comes up against the wall, Arius nearly gives himself away with a groan from the pain. Instead, he turns it into a shrill scream. As he "forces" himself under control, Arius depresses the button.

Will you help me?!
~~~Jen, The Receptionist~~~
The receptionist went through the standard procedures, "Please state your name and purpose of visit to the GPD this day. Assistance can be offered only after these items are recorded or under extrenuating circumstances." She couldn't see his arm and didn't hear the scream of pain, or anything before the button was depressed really.
~~~Torment~~~

Torment landed upon the building across from the GPD's entrance, "Hmm...I wonder..." His eyes flashed briefly as he watched the man, pondering if the reports his sources and lackeys had found or seen with their own eyes. This pathetic creature could not be the one he was seeking, but the possibility was there. A subtle strength behind a facade of weakness, he could feel it, the very life force deep within screamed of it.

~Nearby-The Slums of Barton~

Daize had spent the last few months wandering the land, searching for something that didn't exist. The world around him was filled with dilapidation and degredation. His heart was in the right place, but his mind and body had failed, repeatedly.

A word of warning >_> I have completely forgotten Arius' full name because (a) my journal is gone missing and (b) I don't much care for Arius too much save for sport.

Arius...Arius [blahblah, enter his full name]

Arius looks away for a moment and lets out an anguished cry. He has to look like he's in a real bit of pain, which, technically, he is. However, he looks away because he doesn't want the receptionist to see the flash in his eyes at the sudden presence of some powers (read: number unknown; Arius isn't too good at distinguishing). Interesting. Curiouser things have become. He supresses the urge to smirk as he turns back to face the receptionist, tears streaming down his eyes.

It's him! Rufus...or Nemesis...whatever he calls himself... He's after me!

Arius furiously scraches at the space between his collar bones. He knows he's reaching for a spot he normally would be unable to reach. He decides to let the receptionist in on a little known, and rather gruesome, form of "coming" into being.

He... He planted a body seed on me! I managed to get away from him, but...but...I don't know how long it'll be until he finds me...and tears my body apart as he sprouts from me!

Arius is no fool. He knows the defenses that are up around this place. However...it would be overly fun to watch the look of horror on the woman's face when what she thinks is impossible comes to pass. Perhaps he would give a threat or two before, simply, leaving. In anycase, Arius still has that look of pure pain and raw anguish on his face.
~~~Jen~~~
A buzzing sound indicated the door unlocking. Jen spoke both through the intercom and to him, as would be needed as the door was opened, "Sir, I can assure you, on GPD grounds there can be no form of teleportation or anything of the like. If he tried to burst forth from you he'd get stuck and be unable to complete the action as it is either nullified or he is directed outside GPD grounds. Even foci are not enough to bypass the systems in place. Even the Commissioner cannot Bloodwalk when the system is online, and he bursts out in a similar way to what it seems you described."
~~~Torment~~~

Tor cursed the fool of a receptionist as he watched, hearing the tell-tale buzz of the buzz-in room. He hopped down from the building as a flurry of blue flame and white wisps trailed from his back, landing on the sidewalk with little trouble. He glances each way to check for oncoming traffic, and then darts out to cross the street. ******** the fact he's jaywalking in front of a police station, he's done worse.

~~~Daize~~~
Daize stopped in front of an appartment building and looked up to the burned areas high above. He scratched his head, wondering for half a second why the damage was so limited, given the shittiness of the GFD. He shrugged and kept going.
-_-; Profile Customization isn't working... I'll have to make due.
Arius looks at the door, his eyes still wildy darting, as if to reasure to himself that this is reality. He pries himself from the wall, left hand imediately going to support his right arm, before he takes two steps towards the door. The threshold and he has no interest in crossing it. Suddenly stopping as he feels powers grow closer, a smirk finally comes to his lips. Arius' back is to the receptionist, but he's about to make a bloody show.
Really?
His voice is different, now. It's too calm...too collected. It doesn't sound like Arius.
No! Run!
It's Arius again! A small ball of Mana Mist "emerges" from the same spot on his back as he was trying to itch at. It erupts, and several root-like appendages stream forth across his back, entering and exiting his body in a most painful looking fashion. Excruciating as it might look, Arius really doesn't feel a thing. He still puts on a show. At the moment, the "skin" the receptionist sees is merely being slothed off in favore of the new skin.
It takes a few seconds, but "Arius'" body soon explodes in a bloodied mess across the buzz in room's floor, ceiling, and walls. The new form, a fox animorph known to the GPD as Rufus Rex Vulpesvulpes, is now standing within. Before the receptionist has her chance, he darts towards the front door and props it open. If need be, however, he'd simply become The Bane and slip through as if nothing more than mist.
You see, my dear, this is no meager form of "bloodwalking". A body seed actually connects a...permenant vine between the user and his victim. Unfortunately...my prey got away.
Rufus looks out upon the park grounds. It's obvious he's looking for where he might sense Arius. With a smirk, he looks back to the receptionist.
It appears he used the same technique just before I got him. Pity...
Rufus smirks to watch the receptionist's reaction. It's not everyday that somebody tries something quite like that. Of course, she probably doesn't know that no such technique exists...anymore, at least. Nemesis saw it one time on a planet he lived on for a while, but it died out with them. What he did doesn't even replicate that technique. It's just too bad that she doesn't know that. Rufus' smirk broadens as he prepares to make his departure.
