The firing ceased. Carnax looked up at Zane and nodded. "As you wish." He said to Zane. He mounted his gun and looked at the bleeding clone. He did not care for it, and he began walking back with Zane. So much adrenaline had pumped through Carnax that he thought he was about to go into full rage and cause more destruction. He took off his helmet to let the air come in.
With a sigh, Kar slumped over to his good side, catching his weight with his left hand on his left knee. He glanced over at Mia, his satisfied expression turning into one of pain and sorrow. She would not sleep well tonight. He then glanced the other direction, searching for Serah... and his heart stopped. Serah lay bleeding profusely upon the ground, several bullet holes riddled her body. "Serah..." Was all he could manage in a feint whisper before he tried to step toward her. At that moment his body collapsed and his vision turned black. Where's Godfrey? He wanted to shout as the world grew quiet. Why did this have to happen?
Ushwit Novine The sinful aren't those who do shameful things in the darkness...
Ushwit's body was at the Legion Headquarters. There was a meeting going on downstairs but he would not be attending this one. His body was in suspended animation. Hovering above his bed surrounded by shadows, by the darkness. This was his doctor, the shadows took care of him. It had tooken nearly 3hrs just to get the bullet out of his chest. There was something special about that bullet, and he would study it when he was healed. Now all that remains is closing the hole in his chest and rejuvenating all the blood his lost.
Even though Ushwit's body was there, doesn't mean his mind was. He was lost in his subconscious, plagued by what he deemed, defeat. Ushwit lost to the AOJ twice in a row, or so thats how he saw it. It was infuriating and humiliating. "Damnit..!" He thought. "Why can't I win!?" His voice sounded on the verge of tears. "Am I weak?" He sobbed. Not physically but mentally..he was losing it.
Mia watched as Kar dropped.
"I need to get them home.." She whispered to herself, glancing at the dead clone, suddenly there were two Mias and they picked up both Kar and Serah. She grunted in pain as she began down the road. The pain was unbearable...She couldn't... She looked at her clone and said.
"Keep going...We need to help them." She seemed to make it half a mile before her whole body experienced a pain she knew...It was death. She felt death, but it didn't stop..She didn't die. Her clone put Serah down, making sure to support Kar so he did not fall. Mia was laid on the ground, and the clone disappeared. Mia laid in pain, only moving to her side to barf. She felt tears in her eyes that fell, but she didn't sob. It hurt too much to breathe... Eventually, it was too much and she passed out.
"Justice is sweet and musical; but injustice is harsh and discordant."
John Smith stood atop the wall of the city. He had just recently begun his day, and he was ready to enforce justice. He held his violin at his side in one, and in the other his bow. Looking down at the Mogthals, he shook his head and made a disgusted face. Disgusting things... He smirked and raised his violin to his shoulder, followed by his bow. Pulling the bow along a string slowly, when the note released its sound the wave was sent threw one of the Mogthals causing its arm to become dismembered.
Smiling, he watched as blood poured from the wound of the Mogthal. "Looks like it's time to dance a little jog fellas." Starting to play a slow sad sounding song. As he played Mogthals were struck with the sound waves from the violin. As he struck more notes, the vile beasts started dying. After he finished the song, he looked at the small ring of dead creatures at the base of the wall. "Well that's practice done for the day.."
Godfrey continued to follow Mai's scent until he came upon the scene of his three comrades badly injured. He scanned the area to be sure that the Legion wasn't hiding in the darkness, and decided it was safe when he didn't see or smell any of them. He changed into his human form, and hurried to check their vitals, starting with Serah. She had taken several bullets, and was loosing blood fast. The others weren't in good condition at all, but Serah was going to die in minutes if something wasn't done but he had no way to get them back to Head Quarters in time.
Godfrey knelt next to Serah and rubbed the back of his neck as he inspected the bullet wounds. He had the means to remove the bullets and take care of the wounds here and now, but it was a rougher process than it would be back home, and he was afraid that in her condition it may make matters worse. At the same time, he was sure he wouldn't be able to get her back in time to take care of it the desirable way, and unfortunately being the teams medic meant making difficult decisions. If he could take care of her wounds, then he could carry her back in his wolf form on his back. He took a deep breath and pulled a knife, rubbing alcohol, and some bandages from his bag. "Here we go..." He said to himself. How could he possibly miss something this big and leave his comrades on their own?! Now Serah was minutes from death, and it was all his fault.
Mia finally woke up in a white room, her vision blurred. It hurt to breathe... She tried to sit up, she couldn't move. What happened.
"Ushwit..." She remembered everything now. "Ushwit..." Is all she seemed to matter to her. Reality began to fade in and out. "I-- Where am I?" She finally managed to say, grunting in pain. She felt tears well up in her eyes from the immense pain mostly based in her chest. She felt death....She lived through the feeling of dying, and sometimes she wished that she didn't went that happened. She wished she wouldn't wake up to this feeling.
Godfrey rushed to Mia's side when she sat up "Hey... hey... It's alright" He said soothingly, but he frowned when he called for Ushwit. He hadn't seen seen him when he found the rest of the AOJ. Mia and Kar were there, and the two of them should be fine after a bit of rest and healing up now that he had taken care of their wounds... but he wasn't so sure about Serah. He had got the bullets out, and taken care of the wounds and everything... but she didn't seem to be waking up and that was worrying him quite a bit. "I don't want you exerting yourself"
