The Lightning Strike is one of the fastest ships that the republic owns. It's also the ship they call in to do the dirty work that no other fleet can pull off.

Holds many troops, starships, transports, and other heavy vehicles the republic uses.

The Lightning Strike is also a command ship for many Jedi who come and go when they please to meet up with other fleets that need help.

{{ah poo this sucks}}

Alamora had difficulty traveling in space. As much as she had done so at a young age, the memories never became easier for her to bear. The bloodshed. The screaming. The concentration. The power she felt. The loss. Her hand gently traced the outline of the saber in its hilt by her thigh. Unlike many Jedis who received their sabers as a rite of passage, an advancement in training, Alamora’s saber was taken from the corpse of the sith lord she destroyed after he took her family away. It was an act that was frowned upon by some of the greatest Jedis, those who knew her father and family, but to Alamora it was a symbol of strength and willpower. A token of her maturity. She took a deep breath and stared at the endlessness that was space. Stars that seemed unmoving as the Lightning Strike passed by. The ship itself was quiet for the time being, but Alamora felt uneasy, always on guard. She turned her head to bow in greeting at some passersby before turning back to the window. One thing that she did not like was being a sitting duck. There would be an attack somewhere. The sith were becoming more persistent, and families—like hers—were being split apart. Many of the Jedi populous were patiently awaiting for orders from the counsel on their next course of action, but Alamora was becoming less patient by the hour.

"When you travel the universe with Qui-Gon Jinn, you tend to learn a few things."

Risha was up in the bridge talking to some of the commanding officers aboard the lightning strike. "Well Coruscant obviously doesn't need our help..why are we still here?" she asked as she leaned up against the holo transmission platform. "well General Risha Tao-ni, Chancellor Palpatine wants the ship here for another day since we are looking at making a move on Geonosis. We haven't gotten the order yet." the commander said as he stood there straight. "Well As soon as you hear something you contact me and get my ship going to Geonosis then!" she said as she walked out and got on the elevator to the flight deck. As she got there she was annoyed that the Chancellor had final say on where her ship should be stationed, she pulled up her wrist com link and called up the jedi council.

"Why can't I move in on Geonosis?" she asked as Jedi Master Mace Windu picked up and replied. "Well we are currently trying to make peace with the Geonosians before making a full fledged assault, and your ship and other republic ships would just make things worse for that." Mace Replied as Risha sighed, "Alright Master." she ended the call and walked amongst the troops. "Alright men, if all goes according to plan, We will be fighting on Geonosis tomorrow! So make sure everything is up and running for that!" she commanded as she sat down on an ammo crate and sighed again, the itch to move on Geonosis was coming over her but the Jedi council told her to stand down for now so she would.

Looking out towards Coruscant, Alamora frowned at the memories that continued to haunt her. She wanted to leave, and soon. She walked away from the window and around the ship. Her thoughts were clouding her meditation, and she could not concentrate or maintain a sense of calm. She passed near the flight deck and overheard the ship's commanding officer Risha Tao-ni speak to clones awaiting order. That's all that they were doing. Waiting. She walked out onto the flight deck and sighed, hearing that they were to take action the next day. When she had finished informing the troops of their course for the next day, she smirked. "We all do not enjoy standing around. If it were in my power, I would have us on Geonosis at this very moment. We must trust the Chancellor. Maybe he knows something we are unaware of." She was trying to lift the spirits of the fellow Jedi, but Alamora would know that Risha would see right through her. She leaned against the ammo box Risha was sitting on and looked out. "Is Windu suggesting we remain here until further notice?"

A deep inhale had echoed around the ears of a young man sitting alone in a room as he began to perform a difficult task of self training, and that had been the lifting of his own body with the force while not causing his stance to alter in any way after he began his meditation. He would not allow a single inch of his body to be out of place, if so then his control would only be lacking, and though he was a padawan he still felt that it was necessary to better himself in his own eyes rather than to do so in another’s. With each breath he felt the incoming struggle of keeping this action in continuation; the fatigue was slowly setting in but had made itself known to the half breed Arkanian. Atrum had began a voyage in his life that would normally be avoided if all possible, and that had been the life and training while on a war vessel, many would prefer to do so while in a peaceful situation that would keep the youth out of harm’s way and out of the battlefield if at all possible, but these were desperate times, and desperate measures needed to be taken. If the clones were not already a sign that they needed help in the Republic, then the Jedi order joining in and assisting in the fight would surely be a big enough sign that the enemy had a large upper hand that would not be so easily defeated in battle.
Vox’s eyes opened to reveal a hazel iris, but all around the colorful section of his eyes had been nothing but a dark black that only dimmed the green of his iris, the sclera being something of an off putting feature the young man had been born with. He looked over gently to see his sabers resting on a small table in his shared room, being a Jedi had the advantages of getting personal quarters larger than the common soldier, but being a Padawan to a Jedi meant that you still had to share a room with someone if you had an unfortunate run in with the force, which decided that the young man had to be bunked down with another on this long voyage that could take any span across time, and any direction in the galaxy.

Focusing as hard as he could the young man kept his body in the air as he brought his legs down so that he could touch his feet to the floor, balancing himself and then letting his body fall out of the grip he placed over himself. With his left hand moving towards his sabers he pulled them over to him through the air and with both hands he took hold of each and connected them to his belt before turning and walking out the door, his right arm coming up to his forehead to wipe the sweat away from that exhausting exercise. If he was allowed to truly feel such things he would be rather proud of himself, but pride is merely a tool that could corrupt his very mind if he was not careful.
With a stop at the elevator the man looked up as the door opened and a few unmasked clones were standing in the lift, each looking at him as he smiled towards them. Clones were initially very hard to tell apart by their faces, each of them having the same face of course, but after a certain point they began to gain individuality through haircuts, designs on their armor, tattoos, battle scars, personality differences, and even replacements on their body or very mild mutations that added a different look to them.

                                                                            “Are you getting on sir?”
One of the clones asked, not currently wearing his helmet but rather holding it. This one had darker skin than the others and a strange scar going from his left check down to the back of his neck that came across to his right shoulder just over his spine, it is remarkable that he even survived such a savage looking injury, but the clones were indeed a tough force in their own right.

                                                                            “Yes, Corporal Artinus.”
Atrum stated as he walked on the lift with them, his eyes noticing that Artinus had recently been awarded with a new title, this war monger being overly skilled in combat and well trained in teaching other clones the art of survival so that they graduate from being green and into being Clones marked of battle and survival. This particular clone of course was Artinus and one of the very first the young Jedi had met on this ship when they first stepped on board, and the very same one the Padawan had a relaxing drink with for a few moments so that they could get acquainted.
When stepping on the lift fully and the doors closing behind him, Vox pressed the key that would take him straight to the cockpit of the ship so that he could see out the glass shields and get a good view from their position over their world. He figured he would have a good deal of time spent there as he would do anything he could to advance the probability of their survival and victory against enemy ships if his master would allow him the opportunity to present any strategic insight he could provide to his fellows, the odds of this all mattered on the woman directing the ship and his master convincing her he was ready if she indeed thought he was as well.
First out was the group of clones traveling down a corridor that would have them going into a training room so they could shoot stun based rifles and other assortment of blasters at false targets of droids and enemies so they could keep their skills honed. Next had been Vox stepping out of the lift and into the cockpit to hear they would be in dock until Palpatine gave the order of go, this was probably due to things the ship needed such as repairs for what was initially unseen, a diplomatic reasoning, or perhaps some other unforeseen reasoning that the young man felt was unnecessary for him to try and figure out as he was not in control and nor did he wish to be in control of such a decision or large mass of people. The old man had many things on his plate and many people that could very well be after him for all he is trying to do for the galaxy.

“It would probably be smart for me to search out my master, she probably has some task I am needed or desired for.”
Atrum stated out loud as he turned to look back at the lift just on the opposite end of the corridor for his current position in the cockpit of the ship. The area had been lively with members of the republic military personnel on computers that checked for the current well being of the vessel and many other important things that kept everyone on the Lightning Strike alive.

                                                                            User Image

Risha looked over at Alamora and chuckled. "Yeah If I had more power my a** would have this ship already outside of Geonosis, but I'm just simply a general and the proud captain of this fine vessel that the republic has." she said with a smirk taking great pride in the Lightning strike and the fact that it is one of the republics most powerful/fastest star cruiser.

"Yeah Master Windu, says that the council demands we stay here till we are needed. I don't think the Chancellor knows something, i think it's just politics." She stood up and then looked around. "so where is your padawan? Haven't seen him around today." she asked curiously, not like he needed to be at his masters side twenty-four seven it was just a curious question.

It is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves.

Alamora glanced about the flight deck and sigh softly. Hearing Risha speak, she turned her attention to the female Torgruta, smirked and nodded in agreement. “I understand your frustration, my friend. I suppose that, in order to win this we must be patient and, in a sense, concentrated. We cannot seem chaotic or sporadic as the Sith, or we can consider ourselves to be no better than they are.” She crossed her arms across her chest, trying to ease the tension in her muscles some. The Jedi would have the upper hand. They were powerful and united. They will prevail, but something dark was shadowing the light of hope that Alamora once had. Then again, that light had been diminished when her family was taken from her. After she asked Risha if Master Windu agreed with their Chancellor, Alamora softly chuckled. “Of course. Politics seem to matter more than lives of hundreds. Families die, cities overthrown, and all we are supposed to care for are elections and good names. I suppose peace and politics come hand in hand.” Alamora respected the Republic, but like every government, there were flaws. At times like this, she felt it absolutely unnecessary to get caught up in politics. The safety of their good people was at stake, but considering she was the daughter of a former council member and that her family’s name would be brandished if she spoke against the Chancellor’s wishes, she kept silent around the higher powers. When Risha stood and asked about her padawan, Alamora frowned. “He is around. I almost feel guilty for taking him in at such a time as this. He has been as restless as we have about waiting. How can I see if my future Jedi is ready for the next level of training when we cannot even head to the battlefield ourselves? He is growing tired of my training. I do not blame him. The only thing I can do is either give him a little more time to relax, meditate, roam around, or train on matters he knows like the back of his hand.” Alamora hung her head some. She did not feel ready to take on a padawan, being as young as she was herself, but Master Kortu insisted she take him in. Then again, her master’s words were right. She would have been sucked into a personal vendetta against the Sith and would be exiled by the Jedis if she were to seek out the Sith on her own. As much as she wished she was doing just that, she had duties to her father’s council and to the padawan, doing her best to train the young hybrid.

Risha smiled because Alamora wasn't wrong with the training of her young padawan but she wasn't fully correct, She may be a few years younger but after her original master died yoda ended up teaching her the ways of the force and the jedi way which gave her a little bit of an upper hand. "You are correct but we are peace keepers, and battle isn't everything if he doesn't fully know his way with the force. A padawan needs to enhance the good in his heart before learning the battles. Battle can set off triggers of fury and anger....we don't want him switching because of lack of training." she smiled not trying to insult but if yoda was here he would say the same.

She hopped up on top of the ammo crate pulling her lightsabers out swinging them around with her eyes closed. "Knowing the way of the force is knowing the distance of an ally and an enemy helps" she said jumping off the crate spinning with her lightsabers passing by Alamora and passing clones with out hitting them and as she landed the lightsabers went back into them. "To much training never hurts." she said chuckling. "But he is your padawan, I do not conduct how you train him." she smiled again putting her lightsabers back on her belt and slowly started walking toward the coridoor to head off to the cafeteria to get something to eat.

The young looked down the corridor only a little longer before he would make his way towards the elevator to take himself down to another level. He had a suspicious feeling that his master would be far too easy to locate at a time like this. With his hands behind his back the Padawan took his steps until he called the lift up to him, which appeared quite fast as it seemed no one had it in use. Once inside he turned to look back in the direction of the cockpit, his left index finger pointing outward to hit the button to take him down to the flight deck where he would soon step out to see his Master, Alamora, speaking to another Jedi that would be leading the campaign that this ship would be heading on, Risha. Atrum always had a strange feeling about this Jedi, she was always a bit headstrong and always appeared to have an impatient mood about her, he often wondered because of the haste she wanted to be in if she enjoyed violence, from what he knew she wanted to go to Geonosis and fight without looking for a possible peaceful solution.
From the point when he arrived it appeared that a conversation ended, though he wondered if it was one of pleasantries, politics, or perhaps it had to deal with both and more, it especially looked like it had an effect on his master. He could not be sure if this was true or if perhaps she was focused on something more important, he would not make assumptions about this and instead leave things to happen as they will and react to it accordingly.

“It appears we will be stationed for a bit longer than initially expected, but as for how long I am uncertain.”
Atrum said as he stood before his master, being only a little taller than her as he was a male and his height of 5’11 is not uncommon to be taller than the average human female. He looked at her with his green eyes, and of course his black sclera would stand out like a sore thumb, similar to his blood red hair that often put him at odds with other children of his home world who all had white hair and white eyes.
The young man placed his hands to his hips, the tips of his fingers resting against the hilts at his side. The young man was quite skilled in the force, but his abilities in the force failed in comparison with his swordsmanship, especially in the style of Niman that came so naturally to him, and Jar’Kai which had been the initial and basic teaching of dual sword style among the Jedi Order. At times when alone and allowed to do as he wished for free time he had been one of the few younglings, not the only one of course, to start training and teach himself new techniques to advance himself further not only compared to his peers but also to truly feel at one with himself. This had been how the young boy first learned and began self training in Niman.

“What are you plans for today, Master? I would not expect you to just stand around and be bored all day, maybe you are in need of entertainment or a small event to take place?”
Vox asked of her with a calm demeanor to his voice, he was interested in what she had planned, but he also was quite bored of the ship as he had ample enough time to get to know its main walk ways and strategic places to be for an advantage in battle if ever one were to come up, the only thing left to do would become full acquainted with the engine room and to travel the air ducts for a few hours or even a full day if it took so long to really get to know them if he ever needed to escape a bad situation or lead a small group of clones if ever a battle needed Guerilla Warfare tactics. So now with a calm breath he held his stance with his hands behind his back in anticipation as to what his master would say, or what she would want him to do.

                                                                            User Image

The flow of the battle field is forever changing, like a storm with chaotic winds and lighting strikes. How you win depends on how you can change that flow in your favor.

Sirius walked the hallways of the Lighting Strike to get a better feel of the layout of the starship. It was his first time on the ship and he had been walking around well over a few hours. Unlike the other starships in the fleet the Lighting Strike was heavily modified and easily out class the standard models. In fact Sirius thought it was a little bit on the over kill side. The name was fitting for the ship, like lighting this thing hit hard and fast. With such a ship Sirius could come up with strategies that would be impossible to pull off in a standard star ship.

Finally making his way through the last corridor Sirius nearly ran into the Jedi commander Risha, taking a step back and bowing Sirius spoke, "Commander Risha, a pleasure to meet you again." Sirius knew Risha from the temple when she was being trained by Master Yoda and he had often teased her when they were younger. In fact he came to view her as a little sister almost. But those were then and now she was the commander, and Sirius's military nature demand he showed respect to her.
