Excelsior International Corporation

Excelsior International Corporation is part of Gaia's private military sector. For those who don't know a PMC is a military based group with no national ties. Essentially they are a group of mercenaries, however they are more organized and have more funds than the basic mercenary group.

The EIC's Back Story: The EIC was founded by a small group of business men who wanted to create an organization through which they could solve their most basic problems without having to go through all the processes of paper work. Initially they were funded by the largest corporations within Gaia, even Gambino himself donated to the cause. Within a few short years the EIC grew into a profitable organization with not only corporations using their skills but leaders of governments as well.

Nearly five years after the creation of Excelsior, the Board of Trustees found that with the number of assets at their disposal they were quickly losing funds, even with the huge amounts of money that their clients were putting into it. They decided that it was time to find other ways to make money than just their clientele. Within a month they were approached by one Jorge Leone, head of the Leone family Mafia. He offered them a deal in which they could set up a drug and weapons smuggling ring in the western colonies outside of Gaia, in exchange for a member of the Leone family being on the board. After much deliberation the EIC saw this opportunity to not only increase funds but also to get one of their long time patrons and wealthy clientele on the board. The vote came to eight to one. The one member who voted against the EIC's decision was found dead several weeks later. While the cause of death that was released to the police commissioner and to the public was suicide. The official cause of death released to the Leone family and to the EIC was asphyxiation by strangulation.

Now a year later the EIC is the most profitable and largest PMC within Gaian borders. And it wants you to fight within its ranks.

Because of the shear size of the EIC, the board of trustees saw it necessary to split the number of people who fought for them into seperate branches. Much like a typical military the EIC is composed of four main branches

Army: The Armies of the EIC are feared by all. Not only because of their shear numbers but also because of the technology available to them. The army employs the use of Infantry, Air Cavalry, Armor Battalions, Paratroopers, and some Artillery. These units are often the front lines of offense and defense against any enemy.

Navy: The Navy of the EIC is one that not many have gone up against and survived. The Navy employs Submarines, Battle Ships, Cruisers, Air Craft Carriers and Landing craft. On their largest of battleships the Navy also uses the rail gun technology to inspire fear in their enemies

Marines A sub-sector of the Navy, the Marines are an elite unit that are often underestimated. Upon landing they quickly make their way into a target area, employing stealth, state of the art weaponry and survival skills. The Marines are the best of the best.

Air Force The Air Force is the front line offense against all troops. Able to quickly launch fighters, bombers, Supply carrying C-130's, Troops, helicopters. You name it the EIC's air force has it.

The EIC AF also includes a small unit of airmen who choose to fight on the ground instead of in the air. They are the marines of the AF.

Each and every one of these branches has their own unique ID's. Which is another great feature of the EIC. Not only will you know who is in your branch but you'll also know who has what rank with the ID that is displayed in your profile, signature or journal

The EIC World Map

Remember, this is a work in progress and details and descriptions will be added as I see fit.

Overview: The year is 2019 at the world rests in a state of relative peace. The nations of the world are at the 30 year anniversary of the Second Industrial Revolution, a time when the modern world was shaped through war and conquest. On the eve of the revolution, private military contractors became the superior force in a turbulent world; warring nations using them to gain advantages over there enemies. One of these nations, Gaia emerged from the turmoil as the world's superpower by conquering neighboring countries with the help of the EIC, the world's dominant PMC. Funded by the Gaia army and private owners, the EIC makes up the bulk of the Gaia Armed Forces. But the thirst for land and power, especially in the newly discovered Eastern Colonies, has forced countries to once again wage pointless war.

Gaia and Her Allies:

Kingdom of Zelrin-Gaia's most trusted and reliable ally. Emerging from the Second Indrustrial Revolution, Zelrin created a massive Royal Military, dominating the Western World as seizing control of the entire continent. Intimidated by the Gaian endorsed EIC, Zelrin keeps peaceful and diplomatic relations with Gaia.

Gaia-The center of the global economy and military might and home to the fearsome EIC, Gaia remains one of the strongest world powers, led by President Black, one of the world's most feared men. Though Gaia has a weak military of its own, it is not afraid to call upon the EIC in times of trouble. Though many have sought to dethrown the mighty Gaian Empire, none have ever accomplished this mighty feat.

The Republic of Zaria-Throughout time, Zaria has remained a peaceful nation, basing its infastructure on agriculture and trade with neighboring nations. Althought they may come off weak to the world, Zaria posseses the strongest Navy in the world.

Masodonia-After the fall of Communism and the division of Eastern Gaia Colonies, Masodonia rose from the ashes of oppression and began to build a secret, land based military. Althought it conquered most of its neighboring colonies, Masodonia is still limited and oppressed by its greatest rival, Tackomo, whom Masodonia is at constant war with.

Neutral to Gaia:
Aerlius: Withstanding the test of time, The Theocracy of Aerlius lies isolated from the rest of the world, protected by its vast mountain ranges on its eastern and western borders. A peaceful nation with a relatively small military, Aerlius keeps little contact or trade with Gaia, leading to their neutrality.
