G.I.T. was founded on October 19th, 2006. The original group comprised of the "chosen" hopeful wanderers and those who saw the thread when it appeared. Around 6 Gaians were told of a "promised land" by aliens. When they reached this "promised land" a few wanderers stumbled upon them and they formed the group. The founders, Utterkaos and AlyaMyst, created the forum and built the group from the ground up. After the forum was created interest in the organization continued to grow. Ever since, we've been gaining members who share our desire to solve Gaia's mysteries for the better of all Gaians.
The goal of G.I.T. is to solve and gather information on the mysteries of Gaia. We gather info, analyze it and give it back to the people of Gaia to keep them informed and for the better of Gaia.
We do this both as "real life" investigators, gathering information about updates and changes to the site, storyline updates and other interesting tidbits, and also through RPing, where we "play" the parts of members in the organization or of freinds, family, or even interesting strangers simply passing through.
Whether you want to help solve Gaia's mysteries with us, are seeking a place to become informed about things going on around the site, or want to be involved in some fun, Gaia-based RPing, GIT has something for you.
RP description of the GIT Lobby:
As you pass through the glass doors into the large building you see a very open room. On the left of the room is a lounge area with a few large chairs and couches around a TV. There are coffee tables in front of the couches and small end tables beside the chairs. Various magazines lie scattered on the tables for people relaxing in the lobby to read. On the right side of the room is a table with many pamphlets describing GIT. In these pamphlets you can learn about the services GIT offers, the layout of the publically accessable areas of the building, and information on how to join the organization.
In the center of the room is a large desk with a secretary standing behind it. Hanging above the desk is a large sign that has in large black letters the words Can We Help You?
Additions by Ryu:
Ryu turns back to Seth. He points to the four corners of the rooftop. "Those are pulse guns. The are hooked to your main computer. Any GIT crew member gives the word and they will fire on any moving thing they ask them to. These..." Ryu points to cages with birds in them. "These are messenger hawks in case you lose power and can't communicate with allies." Ryu points to two portals. "The blue one will take you to the GUA and the black one goes back and forth between the lobby. Finally..." Ryu points to a red lever. "This releases a curtain coating the GIT in an Anti-magic field."
~Building Defenses~
Lock down: All doors, windows, and hallways are closed off with 1 foot thick, heavy adamantium doors. In the center on both end walls is a red crystal which eminates a magic barrier that can block most magic.
There are anti air craft missiles and turrets situated around the building as well as heavy bullet turrets and missile launchers. They have never been used other than in testing. Hopefully, they never will be. They are hidden under pannels.
GIT has various types of vehicals availiable if need be and agents are equiped with standard weaponry for daily use. When the building is under attack they can arm themselves with more state of the art weapons.
GIT is equipped with standard fire alarms. Something slightly less standard is the veritable army of small robots that fix and clean things throughout the entire building. Kaos, the leader of GIT, is often making upgrades and introducing new technology and magic, so there may be changes to the building's appearance and capabilities in the future.
