Gabriel O'Conner
Archangel
I don't know if there's hell on earth...
Gabriel hugged Isabelle back, smiling. While he was still curious as to why they were meeting, he was willing to push it aside. While he'd seen Michael's family from a distance, he'd neve interacted with them. The sight of all the familial interaction was enough to make Jim homesick.
"No." He said in response to Isabelle's question. Fortunately, Bethany enjoyed doing the same thing, even though she was now 20 years old. "But if she wants to, she can stay with me." He looked at Hanna with an eyebrow raised. There was room in Giichii headquarters for her to stay. But it hadn't escaped his notice how she followed him to the kitchen. Was she really so scared that they would send her back? He opposed it was a legitimate fear, considering it had happened. He watched as she yawned. He smiled apologetically, hoping whatever business they had wouldn't take too long. Gave walked back to the living sitting on the couch. His phone vibrated. He hoped it wasn't the lab asking for Hanna back. He was relieved to see Bethany's number.
Hey big brother. Got big news. Call me tonight?
Gabriel smiled and put his phone away. Bethany had long since learned to let him call her when he could. More than once a phone call from her had nearly blown the cover off of an operation. He wondered idly what her news was before turning his attention back to the others in the room.
...but paradise is definitely lost.
