Eric watched Shima, he knew she was pissed. She had to be, but he didn't know whether or not he should bother to solve the issue. He obviously wasn't fit for dealing with people, especially moody teenage girls. In the end, it didn't matter, he had been there too long and it was time to leave the room. Checking his gear, Eric adjusted his vest and grabbed his Katana. The sword he never uses, you'd think someone would question its purpose, basically dead weight. But he carried it regardless. Walking towards the door he paused, one more glance back at the window before opening the door and walking through it. As he did so his hand was on his Hissatsu, just resting but blindly walking into confined places bothers him. He sees Shima on the floor, the hole in the wall above her. He simply walked past her, but he thought about it. He looked at his sword, back at Shima. Eric sighed, did he consider to be innocent in all of this? Is this why he kept her around? It didn't matter, he made the decision with his mouth.

"Get your equipment, you want to learn to use a sword, kill with a knife, shoot the eye out of a snipers skull... I guess you'll want to stick with me. My one and only offer. Hurry, I'll be at the bar." Eric spoke, trying to stay quiet and as nicely as he could.

Shima watched him walk down the hall and got up, she grabbed the door handle to pull her up and got her stuff. She then left her crutches, her leg would be fine. She swung her backpack on her back and walked down the hallway. She ingored her limp and attempted to walk normal. She looked at the numbers on the doors as she walked down. Then went into the bar, still, that guy she saw before was in there but he didnt notice her. She looked for Eric and leaned against the wall, tighting the wrap on her leg, not paying attention to anything but that.
Eric had gone out the front door already. He opened the door and looked in at Shima trying to make eye contact so she would follow him. He stood there, waiting, cautious of the people in the bar. He took note of the man he threatened previously, but it didn't seem as though the man cared to speak up today.

Shima looked up and Eric was standing in the doorway, She finished tightening it ad walked up to him. Blushing because she knew she ******** up by putting the hole in the wall. She stood infront of him for a second then walked outside. She looked back at him as she walked to the side of the doorway and leaned against the wall. She didnt speak, but she wanted to appologize... Her mind seemed clouded so she didnt want to say anything incase she ******** up her words.
Eric let the door closed as he looked at Shima. Without speaking he started to walk in the direction of the clearing from before. Waiting for her to catch up, he had nothing to say at the moment. Every once in a while Eric glanced behind him, and to the side. He made a point to avoid areas where someone could hide. It was his nature, he knew the tricks everyone else did, but he was better.

Shima put her bag on her back and followed Eric. She stayed a couple feet behind him but she had a bad feeling about him.
"Um... Where are we going?" She asked, taking a few faster steps to walk side by side with him but still a bit behind him. She pulled her knife out that was in the case and put her belt on and strapped it to the back. Then putting the throwing knifes on the on the hooks inside her Coat.
Eric looked at Shima and paused a second before he spoke. She was getting nervous, like she thought she was being taken out to be put down. Guilty conscience, he figured.

"Somewhere that people won't mind us swinging large bladed weapons." Eric said it sarcastically, out of his own amusement.

They had almsot reached the place and Eric slowly started to untie the white ribbon on his Katana. It took only a pull at the one side, but he did so slowly. For him this was almost a religious act. Upon reaching the clear area, he kept walking toward the middle. Observing all that was around him, he calmly dropped his coat and walked another 15 feet away from it. Turning to look at Shima he slowly sat down, right knee first, then his left. Sitting on his knees he laid the sword out in front of him.

Shima Set down her stuff next to his coat and grabbed her Wakizashi, keeping her coat on she walked out infront of him and leaned on her sword while it was in the case. She looked down at Eric, her eyes narrowing. She waited for something to happen but she stayed at least 5 feet from him. No one was here to help her if he did try to kill her. She had one smoke bomb left but that didnt work so well last time.
Eric sat still, the sword laying in front of him. his hands were placed on his thighs. Not letting Shimas presence enter his mind he simply bowed, left hand to the ground, then right. He remained in the bowed position for no longer than three seconds before rising. He withdrew his left hand first, then his right. Reaching out, he grabbed the sword and rose to his feet before sticking the sheath in his belt. Looking at Shima he just pointed to the ground next to him.

"Stand next to me, I'll show you some basics to help your cuts, then I will show you some of my personal tactics." He spoke normally, but with a serious attitude. This was business for him.

Shima did as he said and stood next to him, holding the sword by the middle of the case in her left hand. Her feet were shoulder with apart. She looked up at him and waited. she popped her neck and her wrists then rolled her shoulders till they popped. Then she waited, not saying anything.
Eric drew his sword with his right hand. He held it out, point at eye level. He looked at Shima and nodded that she should do the same. He then straightened his wrist as he held the sword up, ready to strike.

"The trick to a proper cut is acceleration into the body." Eric brought his left hand to the bottom of the sword handle. "Using the push/pull with the length of the handle you are able to accelerate through the cut. Keeping in mind your hips and torso generate force, your arms and hands generate speed. Both are important to cut, but too much of one or both will tire you and won't allow your cut to be clean."

Eric swung straight down, the blade of his katana made a clean whistle as it cut through the air. This was a sign of perfect edge alignment, a clean cut.

"Don't grip the sword too hard, you won't cut swift enough. Just as well, don't grip it too softly, or your cut won't be clean and deep. Grip with your two smallest fingers tight, then the middle slightly loose. The thumb and forefinger hold just enough to direct the sword in the right direction." Eric glanced at Shima, waiting for her to cut down just as he did. He hoped it wasn't too much information at one time.

Shima laughed, attempting the swing. It wasnt what she was used to, she knew she messed it up. It didnt look like he did it, she knew she ******** it up, and she knew she would be embarassed to admit it. She could feel herself blush and she tried to hide it.
"Raise it back up, try again. Try it slower as you go through the steps. It's hard to understand at first but somewhere along it will simply happen. When this happens a whole new world opens up. Slow at first, then slowly increase your speed." Eric raised his sword again and swung down. His hands ended the swing in front of his naval, he then brought the sword back up over his head and did it again, slower.

Shima tried it again, but slower. She looked at the long ladders that lead to the surface and the painted sky. Why didnt that bother her, it was always the same temperature, coldish warm. She tried again and again but slowly it started comming togeather.
Watching Shima, Eric sheathed his sword. He of course didn't need to look, he'd practiced "Noto" from an early age. He continued to watch her as he walked around to stand in front of her, there was no better way to see what she was doing. He stood well out of her range, but he showed no sign of fear that she would cut him. Not only that, if she even tried he'd have his sword out and she would be cut. But he knew she wouldn't dare try.

"Don't mind me, better view from here. Now, use me as a template, aim for my centerline, all the way down to my naval. In Japanese it's 'Hara', in Chinese 'Ta Tien'. This is important to know, when you strike, exhale from this part of your body." Eric placed his right hand over his naval area when referencing the cut, then he motioned his hand from the bottom of his sternum to his naval when describing how to exhale.

It had been a long time since he taught anyone about swordsmanship. He found it odd to have to explain the subtle steps in cutting, he was so used to them all it was second nature. It was like blinking, breathing, walking, it was just that simple to him. This reminded him of something.

"Don't forget, you will also need to step forward. If you have your right foot back, step forward into the cut. Don't step, then cut, it should be one movement." From here Eric knew the tip of her sword would be just a few inches from his face if she stepped into her cut.
