Welcome to Gaia! ::

Eric smiled, letting out a short laugh. Poor thing, she was as clumsy as she was naive. Oh well he thought, she isn't dead yet.

"I'm sorry, are you alright?" Eric spoke with a smile as he walked towards the window.

Climbing in, Eric was careful but swift. Sitting in a chair he looked at Shima, and waited for her to speak.

Shima looked at him and smiled, thinking of all the stupid things she could say, It wasnt like she was bleeding so he was clearly asking it to not feel like an a*****e.
"I'm still breathing, I have two bullet holes in my leg, my head hurts and its your fault." She snickered, taking her hands from her head and using them to pull her up into a slouchy sitting possition. She looked at him and then glaced around the room then looking at her bag.
"So, you wanna tell me why you were behind me?" She looked back at him. "And can you hand me my bag?" Her eyes narrowed on her and she twitched her head to the side until it popped.
Eric ignored her smart a** comment, smirking and shaking his head. Glancing out the window before he grabbed her bag, he sighed a little. He was tired still, he needed a vacation, amusing as it sounds. He tossed the bag to Shima, and figured he should answer her question.

"I got bored, I went for a walk. How's the leg?" He looked her in the eyes as he spoke, before sitting back down.

Shima looked down when their eyes met, she didnt like eye contact.
"Umm...." She forgot what he asked, being destracted. Then she remebered it was something about her leg. "It still hurts" She said, knowing shed be safe if he asked her anything.
She grabbed her arm and compleatly avioded eye contact, knowing it would be scary for her, she eventually played with the fraying peice on her black shorts and then looked back up, holding her breath.
Eric watched Shima, he knew she was nervous. Her hesitance to look him in the eyes said a lot, but it didn't matter. Irrelevant at the moment. He thought he'd pester her a bit more, test the waters. Wondering what excuses she'd come up with he decided to speak.

"So, what were you thinking when you decided to go help those people, knowing how likely it is you'd be shot again?" He wasn't smiling, simply watching her as he spoke.

Awaiting her reply, Eric placed a hand on the table next to his chair. He glanced at the door to the room and back at the window on occasion. It was his usual caution, he wasn't worried about anything. He thought about something for a moment that made him force back a smile. A saying from an old friend. 'In this business you're bound to rub out someone you know.' Eric wondered, who did Shima know, and did he know the shooter..?

Shima looked back up at him, thinking. She did take that risk, but, they were hurt.... She smiled a bit and put her bag behind her back.
"Sorry..." She said, her smile faded fast. "I didnt think about that..." She angled her head down but still looked at him. "I guess I would have got shot... Again..." She looked back up and waited for his reply. Watching the movement in his eyes and trying to find out where he was looking.
"Hmm..." Eric considered the outcomes.

It wasn't smart, but she thought she was making friends. The saying played over in his head again. Why make friend? He thought. You're just going to have to kill them, or watch them die. Everyone you love is a death burden, another saying that made him crack a smile. It wasn't funny, it was true, but it amused him. An injured girl helping people, after being so hesitant to help him? After he saved her a** from blowing up? It made little sense. Women, teenage girls, whatever. They don't make sense. Maybe it was already time to set this one loose. She'd only slow him down, Eric thought. Slow him down, kill him, or get him killed. Either that or he'd watch her die, or have to do it himself. Dim views on life, yes, but it's a dim world.

"Did you know I was watching?" Eric smiled a bit this time, knowing she'd have no real answer.

Shima froze and held her breath. He was watching her? She looked at him and rolled her eyes... "Why were you watching me?" She asked, holding her uninjered leg to her chest. She wondered what he was doing watching her?
"Boredom. Curiosity. Who knows, maybe someone paid me to kill you and I'm just toying with you until I feel like doing it. I may have been watching to make sure no one else killed you, so I get paid. Does this thought bother you?" Eric spoke without hesitation, his eyes not leaving her.

He watched the young girl, bringing her knee up as she did she could be acting defensive, or maybe she was simply hurting at the moment. Then again, she could be hiding something. It was difficult to say, too many thoughts at once, too busy amusing himself with his taunting her. He knew what he said would bother her, but it's possible. Did she even consider it? Maybe his experience makes him paranoid, but at least it keeps him alive.

What he was saying hurt her, Shima put down her leg. Reaching into her bag she thought about pulling her knife out and throwing it at him, though she would probably miss. That would give him too much time to if he was trying to kill her. What if he was hinting her? What if he was really going to kill her? Who could she have after her? Who would pay someone to kill her? Well, she was an assassin herself.... Maybe it was Victor? But, he saved her from him. But, he did nothing to fight him, so maybe it was him... Was he accually going to kill her, She reached firther into her bag and then under all her clothes she felt the hilt of her knife, Slowly she wrapped her fingers around its and gripped.
" Dont say that, one friend you can trust in this place would be good, Dont do that s**t..." She had a full grip on the weapon but she needed to wait...
Eric smiled a bit, watching Shima get nervous. He could feel the tension in her from where he was. It was amusing, the girl who thought she stood a chance was now scared. But, Eric had his fun, it was time to let her in on the joke. Pointing his finger as though he had a gun, Eric moved quickly, hoping to startle the girl.

"Don't throw that knife! Hah, I wouldn't kill you. I wasn't paid to, and saving your a** took too much work." Eric actually laughed a bit. It was odd, as this was a rare occurrence for him.

Shima sighed but gentally pulled out the knife, running her fingures across the blade. She didnt want to drop her guard... Now she wasnt for sure if she could trust him. Her back felt too stiff and she started slightly trembleing. She couldnt force herself to smile, she was so scared. He wasnt afraid to shoot her when he shot her in the leg...
She look at him, watching for anything she could use like a weak point. His hands were in a spot where he could block if she tried to punch. She knew he was wearing something to keep him from being stabbed, the only spots she saw could be a weakness looked like they could beguarded. She had a good idea to benifit her in many ways.

"Do you like knife fighting?" She asked, forcing a smile that looked as fake as the painted sky. But, She had a plan. She knew he could kill her with a gun but could he kill her with a knife? A light spar could easly decide that. And it could benifit so she could learn where she goes wrong in knife fights.

((>.> Hosh, Godri! Keep posting!! Dont quit now! Oh, and Victor is free to kill, he quit. I just dont know how to take out Keloid... You guys can go after him razz ))
Eric smirked. She was tense, scared for no reason, he could tell. Like a deer, thinking she's in danger she froze up and came up with the solution to stare blankly. Then she spoke. Eric could hardly hold back a smile. He laughed again, before looking back to the door and then another glance to the window.

"You've seen what I can do with a knife, I probably know more about fighting with knives than anyone you've met. But sure, we could play around a little, I won't use my good knife." As Eric spoke he reached back and pulled a single edged throwing knife from a sheath on his vest.

Spinning it between his fingers he looked at Shima a second before spinning the knife flat in his palm. Quickly running through the four basic knife grips he settled on an edge out, icepick grip. Then, he stuck it into the table next to him.

"Which grip do you favour? And I'm ready to start whenever you are." Eric remained seated, expecting Shima to come to him. His body was relaxed, and seemed like he had no intention to fight.

Shima Smiled, laughing a bit. "Whatever gets me by" She said putting her bag to the side of her and held the knife to the side, blade facing up. She throught about the ways she could start and attack, but then desided to go around and see if she could get behind him, then place the knife to his lower back. Easyer said than done.
"I dont know what its called but this I guess." She said, relaxing for a moment then posistioning her feet so she could bolt up with her good leg.
She waited and counted slowly in her head. One... Two... Three... Four.... One... Two... Three.... FOUR! She pushed off the bed and lunged forward, when she got close enough she would use her good leg to jump to the side, and then turn to get behind him. But... Could she get past the first step?
Eric patiently waited, ignoring anything she said. His gaze wasn't fixed on Shima, as she rose up, Eric did the same. Instead of moving towards her he spun the chair around him and put it in her way. Tossing it over at her, he pulled the knife from the table and waited.

"So young and so slow..."
