After he saved her a** from blowing up? It made little sense. Women, teenage girls, whatever. They don't make sense. Maybe it was already time to set this one loose. She'd only slow him down, Eric thought. Slow him down, kill him, or get him killed. Either that or he'd watch her die, or have to do it himself. Dim views on life, yes, but it's a dim world.
