Zee watches the two play with Jax's machine. She sighs, getting bored and walks away. Maybe she could find the hobos and get her clothing back. Zee comes upon Vera looking very stressed. She sighs and looks at her with a slightly pissed look on her face. Everyone was so emotional in the damn place! Even the guys were more emotional than her. Zee sniffs then says, trying to sound caring "What's wrong?" She raises her eyebrows over her light grey eyes, her irises looked almost white. Many people identified her by her eyes and it was her downfall. She usually wore masks or sunglasses when on missions so people wouldn't reconise her eyes. Zee wrinkles her nose in distaste as she waits for an answer from the former triplet, now twin.

Larus furrowed his brow as Jax relinquished the potato mechanism from his hand. He could’ve handled it himself, but whatever; it looked like Jax was going to try it out this way instead. Larus nodded as Jax asked him to stay. He flipped the switch on the device, aiming it at Larus. A metal coil sprang out at Larus and attached itself to his arm. He stared at it as the seconds went by, wondering what such a contraption would do. Then the electricity began to course through the metallic spring, causing Larus’s to give a yelp and his skin to smolder. He ripped the device of his arm and rubbed the spot of open flesh, pink and wet from the burn.

Jax gave a delighted cackle at the success of his machine, and Larus gave a half smile, half frown. That thing definitely worked, - surprisingly- but man did it hurt… Larus gave a small chuckle, which eventually formed into full out laugh. He flopped down onto the ground next to Jax, picking up the potato invention once more, inspecting it from all sides. “I can’t believe this thing actually worked… Man, Jax, you’re a ******** genius you know that? Never would I be able to turn a –pfft- potato into a deadly weapon, you know that? You cease to amaze me…” Larus rolled over onto back and looked up at Jax, admiring the brains behind that creepy smile of his.

Alec ran his hand over his face. His head hurt from too much thinking.... He could hear the liveliness of his "family" coming from downstairs. It was... Comforting somehow. These were people he trusted... Well some more than others. Still, these people were counting on him to hold them together. Heh, look at what a mess he was now. He shook his head Ro clear his mind and sat up. He decided interaction would likely be the best solution; when you're alone unwanted thoughts cloud your mind...

He plodded down the stairs slowly, regaining back his consciousness from his daze. He made sure to stay out of the way of Larus; he didn't want to strike up unwanted conversation and conflict. He found himself headed toward the weapon equipment room. There he wasn't surprised to come across Luke, the once assassin. Though he wasn't very social, Alec had gathered that the boy's past had an impact upon him. Alec knew it would be rude to just barged in, so he observed him within the doorway. Maybe he could get some words out of him this time.

Jax burst into hysterics. He wasn't used to the flattery, but rather than being embarrassed he simple felt excessively amused. "I-I-I Ai-Ai-aim-m-m t-t-to p-p-ple-e-ease~!" This was to especially whacked because he was trying to do it between laughing fits. Mostly by this phrase he meant himself, though he figured Larus would think of Alec or something. He shrugged and proceeded to caress the contraption. Hmm... Maybe it would do without the balloon. How powerful would it be then~?? He attached the wire to himself and turned his device on. Wait for it... BZZZT! Jax looked to the burning on his skin and grinned with his crooked smile. Yeah, it hurt like hell, but it still worked~!! This was so exciting; he had to make more, MORE~!!! He began tinkering with a new spark in his step. Hehehehehehe~!!!! His excited giggles echoed throughout the shop.

I see everyone, everywhere, every minute, of every day......

If there was one person Vera wished to not be talking to, it was Zee. She knew the girl didn't actually care about her issues. "Leave me alone." Vera said, not even glancing in the girl's direction. She wasn't worth her time. Vera walked away, going to go sulk some more. That was her specialty. She pulled her curly blonde hair up in a ponytail. She was going to go nap.

Graham walked into the building his sniper rifle slung on his back, he was carrying a black briefcase in one hand and a knife in the other. He walked into the building sighed and threw the suitcase onto a couch it's clasps coming open revealing all the money he had just earned from his recent asassination job. "All for the good of the group." He muttered to himself as he walked up the stairs to his room his hands in the pockets of his jeans.User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Alec looked up from his observation and noticed Graham as he walked in. "Hey, Ghost. Thanks for the input." Generally, the income from the jobs was used for food and general maintenance; and some went back to HAFTWIN to help pay their workers and to help keep their building a secret without government interference. They had all worked hard to build this life and thus needed extra precaution from letting the past catch up to them. Any leftovers was divvied up between the members for personal usage. Everyone had their own stash, and no one was permitted to touch another's. Alec generally took care of accounting; he knew how tempting it was for others to keep the rest for themselves. His guilt would catch up to him eventually, so he figured he'd be safe from taking the lot. And of course, the one who did the job did get a slightly larger portion. He swerved away from the door and looked into the pay Graham had received. He must've taken care of something important; either that or he was paid by a rich man. Alec gave a small chuckle and counted the cash up quickly. Let's see... this to savings, this to divvy, this to the agency. "Here, Ghost, your share." He handed the money to him and watched him walk off. Trying to get Luke to talk would have to wait. Alec strolled off to his "office", which was really just the reception desk from long ago. After much fussing he opened the locked register and put in the cash to save; then he got ready to head to the agency. He called out in a large voice, "Anyone need to get a job or see someone at HAFTWIN? I'm heading there now."

Graham took the wad of bills without a word. He had grown acustom to the way things worked and didint really have anything important that needed to be said regardless. The things he liked were cheap anyways, cigarettes, liquor and bullets. He walked to his room opened the door and slumped into a reclining chair lighting a cigarette and inhaling deeply. It's always the same, some politician wants a guy off the campaign chair, or a mob boss wants a rival taken out of the picture. Then they meet the same fate as their victims. It's really quite ironic. With another puff he closed his eyes his mind drifting off as he let himself into a short state of rest and relaxation.

Lilith 'Dark Lilly'
"Let he who would insult me beware."

Lilith sat on an old broken down brick wall, in the worst part of town. She had been lured to this town by a contract Lilith got off the net. It seemed one of the top industrial CEO's had gotten himself into a sticky situation and needed a 'third party' to retrieve the damning photo's. Tomorrow she would meet her contact and get the full layout of her mission, it would mean a paycheck and perhaps a warm place to sleep for a few days at least.
As Lilith looked out at the city scape it began to rain, this did not affect her, she just sat and allowed the coming storm to soak her. Growing up on the streets she was used to being tired, cold, hungry and alone. Why should this city be any different, than any other place or any other time in her short wretched life? As the wind whipped higher and higher her raven black hair unfurled behind her like a tattered flag. Lilith had been sitting still for so long that she seemed to be one of those old gargoyles that used to adorn cathedrals and castles once upon a time.
Well, I suppose I have sat her long enough I suppose I should move off she told herself before she snapped her legs straight causing her to fall from her perch and land on a fire escape a floor below, landing in a crouch she slowly stood and walked to the ladder, as she approached it she swung around and planted a foot on either side of it and grabbed the rails firmly with her leather gloved hands. As she slackened her grip slightly she slid down to the ground. Lilith never resisted a chance to play or heighten her skills to move quickly and silently through her environment. Remembering back to the old woman who taught her for a short time before a fever took her. Be as silent as death and as fleeting as the shadows across the moon. As she rounded the corner out of the alley she saw a man with tattoos marking him as a gang member in a local crime syndicate. Perhaps I shan't need to wait till I complete my little job to get some money. Knowing his type Lilith felt little remorse for what she was about to do. Men like him had kicked her around when she was younger and done far worse to some of the other street kids.
Sliding one of the small knives from the leather brace she wore on her left arm she approached silently from behind before she struck. Running the few paces to close the distance she was at his back before the man had a chance to react she had stabbed him twice once between his upper ribs puncturing a lung and preventing any cry for help the second was to the indie of his thigh severing the man's femoral artery. As he slumped to the ground Lilith dragged him behind the nearest dumpster and left him in a pile of trash after removing any valuables. The man didn't have much but it would be enough for a meal and a cheap hotel for the night.

I raise my glass
To ravaged home,
My bitter life,
And lonely days with you.
I drink to you,

Viktor stood alone in the shadow of the doorway out side where Alec's "office" was located. He was looking inside a coin pouch made out of a piece of leather and string. "Odin, dva , tri, chetyre..." Viktor counted in Russian, his native language. His money pouch was light, so he contemplated on his next move to make some money. While doing so, he looked at himself in the dim reflection from his dagger. How I wish you could talk, my friend. He thought to himself, looking at it. He had gotten out of a lot of rough spots with this dagger.

While reminiscing, he remembered his father, the man who taught him everything and gave him the skills of the world-class Russian soldier, Spetsnaz. He had rough training, but his life was never in danger. He had no scars to prove it, only his stealth in his thefts and his fighting style, As well as an unreasonably high pain threshold. What should we do, my friend? Should we find honest work, or pull a Robin Hood? Steal from the rich, give to the poor, which happens to be me? He let out a low chuckle. "We shall wait. No need to take...unnecessary risks.

[Soon after his thought ended, he watched Alec wander past. Viktor pretended not to notice. Once Alec had announced that he had an available job, Viktor smiled to himself and thought. Ah, my friend, we have work to do. Emerging from the shadow silently and entering the room where Alec reside, "I would be delighted to go, drugo(friend)" he said in his heavy Russian accent. "Please consider taking me along."

To lying lips' betrayal,
To deathly frigid eyes;
To that the world is cruel and crude,
To that we weren't saved by God.

"Looks like ill be going alone then..." Alec strolled out of the building, his thoughts flooding back to him. Ugh; maybe Larcha could give him some medication, as well as more sleeping pills. He strolled along the street, alone in the light of dusk. Night was fastly approaching, although the agency never slept. He listened in, for he could never be too careful around the hours of the evening. He heard the typical wind howling and quiet crickets, but then he also heard a giant creaking, almost as if.... Someone was using the dumpster around the corner. That was odd; no one really stuck around at night, surprisingly. He withdrew his pistol instinctively and held it close. It comforted him in a way... The rounded the corner and saw the silhouettes of what appeared to be two people, only one was being tossed into the dumpster and one was doing it. Odd.... He squinted in the dark, trying to make the person out. He was quite sure they hadn't seen him, but just in case... He caressed his weapon and held it in front of him. Who was that person? Likely a foe.... He called out into the darkness. "What are you doing, foe of mine? I have a gun and do know how to use it."

Lilith 'Dark Lilly'
"Let he who would insult me beware."

She had a small pause, but it was barely noticeable. Now a small smile spread across her face. "A gun, well now it would appear you have me at a disadvantage stranger, but why would you assume me your foe?" She asked as she turned to the direction of the voice and took a few steps forward her arms crossed in front of her chest. What greeted her eyes was a young man in his twenties. Lilith cocked her head slightly to the side as she waited for a response. The continuing cold rain felt so good on her skin, she turned her face up and stared into the cloudy night sky only keeping view of him in the corner of her eye. She was taking a gamble she knew that very well, but he did not seem the type to just shoot someone. If he was he would have put a round in her back while she was throwing out the trash.
She had money in her pocket and she was about to have a full belly it would be a shame to die in this filthy alley way, gunned down by some man for no reason at all. Then again didn't things like that happen everyday? The man she had just killed would be one of those statistics, a criminal either by choice or by force of his surroundings who lived by blood and died in blood. Just as she too was probably bound for a violent end.
