User ImageThe raven haired assistant stood up from her desk, saving the work she'd done before leaving her post. In three steps she was in the man's office, cold blue eyes looking at the man calmly her voice smooth and soothing as she spoke.
"You wanted to see me sir?"
Nicolette was having trouble reading her boss at the moment, his face was expressionless and his voice had been without any trace of emotion or feeling.
Dune got up out of his chair and walked to the other side of his desk, removing his glasses and setting them on the workspace that was now behind him. He leaned back, bracing himself on the edge of his desk with his hands, chest out and feet crossed. He locked eyes with Nicolette, but still held no expression on his face.

"I'm aware that an explanation of what I said last night is warranted, out of professional courtesy. I played along, and then seemingly betrayed you; Let me start by saying that I am not one to be underestimated." He spoke with a matter-of-fact tone. He continued, "Indeed I have many skills, diction is one, and another is being able to detect disloyalty. Of course you have your skills as well, and as I would not expect my skills to be underestimated, I would not even begin to underestimate the power of deceit." he said. He then paused and walked around to the other side of his desk and retrieved an aged, ridiculously rare bottle of whiskey and two glasses from a low-set drawer. He set the glasses on top of his desk and poured one halfway full. He looked up at Nicolette, and without asking or looking down poured her half a glass as well. He handed her the drink, and continued speaking.

His tone started bitter but became increasingly warm and inviting, "Deceit is a powerful weapon, one that is all but unnoticed in this day and age. Did you know that the viking people valued deceit over the ability to handle a weapon? They found that making an enemy account for what he does not see was the wisest way to deal with him... The point is I don't know why you came to me. I don't know what all of your plans are, but, I will use you... Your talents are valuable, and I plan on putting them to good use. In order to do so I needed more than your word that you were a friend. I needed to see it in your face. While I still don't know exactly why you're here, all of your motives, I now feel I can trust you." His eyes had become sympathetic. He picked up his glass and offered it for a clink.

"We will take over the world together. You're beautiful, smart, capable and dangerous. And by now you know I will never fall victim to the weapons I seek to wield." He said with a smile.
Domino Mercury Dom-10

Domino had been at the firing range for a few hours. He had his pager on vibrate incase Mr Revedouard needed him. The agent had just released his magazine from his custom Sprinfield Arms fourty cal. It had an extended barrel and at the end was a compact silencer for stealthy shots. Up top was a holographic, red dot sighting. Everything was colored in black, the lense on the holographic sighting even being glare reduced. This weapon had style, versatility, and sheer stopping power. Domino loaded another magazine into the grip and began to fire at the target.

User ImageNicolette simply stood there soaking up the man's words, a smile akin to that of Mona Lisa's gracing her cherry red lips. All ill feelings from the previous night had dissipated as she realized the depth of the man's genius... It was very hard to get to her emotionally but he had done so with just a few words for the simple fact of wanting to figure out if she was loyal or not. She HAD in fact underestimated him, and she had no intention of doing so ever again.
With her sensuous fingers she took the glass of whiskey from him holding it to her lips as he continued, his voice wrapping around her comfortingly. The information he was sharing was not new to her but his delivery was enrapturing and she didn't mind in the least hearing it again. The compliments she received further revived her to the state she had been in when she'd first walked into the bar that night, and she was once again sure that this job would be one to keep for as long as humanly possible.
The dark haired woman waited for him to finish and smiled as they clinked their glasses together. She took a sip of the fine liquor the warmth spreading through her body as it made its way down, and she spoke for the first time since she'd walked in her voice smooth and almost melodic " Your trust is well valued sir, and you'll soon see just how potent my talents can be..." She took another sip and held out her glass once more, the light in the room dancing in those bright blue eyes " To a beautiful and prosperous new partnership."
Dune tapped his glass against Nicolette's and took a sip. He took a moment to appreciate the smooth burn and smokey taste of the beverage, as well as the figure of the woman standing in front of him. He walked passed Nicolette to retrieve a chair from the far corner of his office, and set it facing his desk. He gestured to his assistant for her to take a seat in it, then circled his desk and dropped down into his own.

Dune shuffled paper around on his workspace, and filed some into the cabinet behind him. He then turned back towards Nicolette and continued with his whiskey, leaning back, looking at her kindly. "Tell me what brought you here, sweetheart."

AMELIA MCCONNEL

[Did you get my application for a second more violent character?]

Amelia smiled as she finished her program. She had thought about hacking into the government system. Just to create a few more clients of course. They had such a dry streak lately. She wasn't sure how to react to it. Thats when she heard a ding on her computer. As she opened her inbox to retrieve the message, her entire system crashed. Everything shut down. Stunned Amelia tried to turn them back on, suddenly wary. Everything was gone, and only a message was left.

"Better Luck Next Time Amelia"

She muttered as she looked at the laughing bloody face that revealed that someone hacked their systems. Not her new programs mind you. But still it was someone advanced to get this far into her systems. They were in trouble, because when she could finally get through the locks that were put in place she found all of the information was stolen. Nothing was left on her computer. Which meant a serious problem. She called up to the bosses desk, wary of what to tell him. All the while her hand was on her gun, shaking with anger as she looked at her screen. She would find the idiot who did this, and they would not live.

CHIEF ENGINEER
Kayne took his usual walk through the corridors, evening shower taken and a fresh suit thrown on, firearm tucked carefuly away everything looking neat, minus his head and beard; he was never one to shave either his face or head completely bald, perhaps out of laziness, or some unsaid code of honor he kept with him. His thoughts kept him company as he strolled, hands in pockets but still twitching, a habit born from years of paranoia-inducing conflict.

"Just a kid. The money, it's good, but just a kid... perhaps I chose the wrong line of work, or maybe it's the right kind; maybe I'm destined to go to hell, no matter what I do. Oh well. Don't worry about it, Kayne; it won't matter until you're dead, anyway,"

These thoughts, or rather, regrets plagued him daily, but he never let it show. His demeanor was always cool, calculating and respectful, very business like in nature. Relationships, however, were not something he was capable of building, especially seeing as he never knew exactly when he'd be six feet under.

User ImageThe woman smiled, her pretty lips brushing the glass as she looked up at the attractive man before her.
With a sigh Nicolette sat back letting her long raven hair falling over the back of the chair.
"Its quite simple handsome... You have the best of the best in our business, and everyone knows that to win in this world you have to run with the best"
She took another sip, that warm slow burn running through her again. Her cold blue eyes stayed locked onto the man her ample form shifting in her seat.
" And I've always admired your work... You've made quite the name for yourself"
Dune picked up his shades from the desk in front of him and as he put them on with a grin,
"Yes, quite the name for myself. Can't be too careful." he said. He finished his glass of whiskey and stashed the bottle and glass in the low drawer they came from. He then picked up his sunglasses from the desk in front of him and put them on, wearing a grin.

Dune stood and walked to wear Nicolette sat, setting a gloved hand against her cheek, "A pleasure speaking with you," he told her, "but we should get back to work before I'm forced to distracting alternatives." he smiled suggestively at her, although his eyes were hidden. He then walked to the door of his office and opened it, gesturing for her exit.

AMELIA MCCONNEL

Amelia swore as the phone continued to ring. The boss wasn't answering. She hung up and looked around. She didn't know what to do. Her computer files were gone, lost. And she was almost certain someone stole the information. She shivered a little at the idea.

"Damn it all"

She whispered to herself as she got up, and made her way to the elevator. It wasn't long until she was on the second floor. She walked up to the Bosses office and knew that she would have to talk to Nicolette again. She sighed just a little as she stood and waited. She needed very badly to speak to the Boss. Her entire system was gone, that meant an enemy. One they needed to find ASAP.

CHIEF ENGINEER

LAURA-LYNNE MALLEN

Meanwhile, Lynne was just arriving at her new job. She looked around as she entered the place. She was really here for information. She was after her sister, ever since she found out she was alive. As well as her father, who had disappeared after being freed from prison. She narrowed her eyes at the thought. She didn't care about many people, but she had always loved her sister. When she had thought she died, Lynne felt like a good part of her died. Now to find out she was alive, was like seeing the gates of heaven, but not touching them. Well she wanted to touch those gates. And to do that, she had to find Anna-Bella. And take care of her father, who was a threat to anyone. Unfortunately the man had high up connections, so now she had to find him. Had to destroy him. And this was the best place for the information. Besides, as a hit woman, this place had been a thorn in her side for years.

AGENT XXX

User ImageWith her drink gone Nicolette set her glass down looking at the man carefully. She found herself drawn to him, even after the rocky start they'd had and she wasn't sure if that was a bad thing or not.
When his hand lightly touched her cheek she closed her eyes a bit, dark lashes hiding those vibrant blue orbs. After the brief contact she smiled looking at her own reflection in the man's glasses, standing up to leave as he'd asked her a seductive smile on her lips.
With a soft chuckle she stopped right at the door looking at her boss with an over the shoulder glance "You say distracting alternative like that's a bad thing... there's plenty of time for work AND play. But if you insist on behaving I admire that, even if I don't agree. Have a good day Mr. Revedouard" And with that she was gone from the room, picking up her things from off her desk to work on it in a more relaxed setting giving the man a bit of a show as she walked off.
Dune gestured a hand wave at Amelia to come into his office as Nicolette left, and then walked to the center of his office as he took a pack of cigarettes and a zippo lighter out of the same pocket in his coat. He put one of the cigarettes in between his lips and then pushed the pack back into the pocket it came from. After lighting the smoke, he stuffed the lighter into his right-hand pant-pocket and grabbed the chair that Nicolette had been sitting in and put it back in the corner of his office.

Dune circled his desk and sat down in his chair. He continued on his smoke as he awaited Amelia's business.

AMELIA MCCONNEL

Amelia walked into the office and took a deep breath, waiting for Dune to sit. He would want to sit for this news. She bit her lip, looking really nervous. After all, she didn't want to lose her job. This was something she couldn't see coming, and had tried to prevent.

"Someone stole all of our files. And erased my entire system. Crashed it."

She said, trying to keep her rage out of her voice, and failing slightly. She kept her hands linked behind her back to not reveal their shaking. She wanted to shoot someone, and would probably try some target practice, once she tried to figure out what had done this.

CHIEF ENGINEER
Dune felt a jolt of rage at the news. His brow furrowed but he removed his sunglasses calmly, furious eyes locked onto Amelia's. He put his hands together, fingers interlocking as he spoke with a deceptively calm tone, "Well then, A-M-X-1-6, I suggest you get to work replacing the files we lost-" he pointed to a stack of papers from floor to ceiling, kept next to the filing cabinets behind where he sat at his desk, which contained more files still than the loose ones. "-and find out who hacked your s**t, and quickly, making sure it doesn't happen again; since that's what I pay you for." His last few words in what he said contained an especially harsh bite, snapping out of his mouth in a cold, professional temper.

He then stood up, brandishing a knife from inside of his coat and slamming it point first into his desk. He spoke, still calm and calculating but furious, "While you're at it, make sure all of our people are combat ready. An attack on our system could possibly be step one of many. Keep your eyes peeled, and get to work saving yourself from unemployment!" He shouted at the end, pointing towards the door to his office before briskly walking away from his desk to one side of the room. He stood before a walk-in closet that required a swipe of his clearance card before opening, after which he stepped inside and closed the door behind him.

Amelia nodded.

"Believe me sir, the person who did this will be six feet under. And so will his damn systems"

She told him simply before leaving. She was not in any better mood then the boss. She needed to figure out who hacked her systems. And she would. Oh she would spend all night on it if she had to. She hurried down to her computer. She would work on the files from her system that wasn't connected to any of the others. She sat down at her computer, her fingers started to fly across the keyboards, going through every little thread to find out who had taken all of their stuff. By the time she found them, she would send them back to the stone ages.

"No one ends up doing this to my systems. I will find you"

She yelled at the computer as she continued to type. She had disengaged her phone, except for if the Boss wanted to talk to her. No one else would get through. She was in the most serious she had ever been.
