Welcome to Gaia! ::

Dune sat in his chair, upper body collapsed on his desk. He was face down among piles of paperwork, hat and coat on the floor next to the coatrack in the corner of his office next to the entrance. Without looking up from where he had passed out, his hand reached out and took hold of the coffee brought to him. "Thank you." He commented as his head slowly arose, paper sticking to his face. His hair was disheveled and his eyes were bloodshot, with dark, tired lines underneath his eyelids. He coughed and sat up. His face went stern, "Get the f**k outta here." he told Nicolette, without looking at her, "But thank you."

AMELIA MCCONNEL

Amelia walked in the office in time to hear Dune tell her to get out. She looked at Nicolette appologetically when she had mentioned coffee. Amelia didn't drink coffee. She didn't like it. Oddly enough she was a tea person anyways.

"Thanks but I don't need any anyways."

She told her as she stood at attention. The boss did not seem to be in a good mood. She hoped her little disk, that was currently clutched in her hands would cheer him up a bit.

"Sir, I have that program finished if you wish to see it."

She told him, all buisness. Usually she would ask him about his day or something of the like. You know be friendly, but with him in such a grumpy mood Amelia was afraid of losing her job. She thought of this place at home, and knew that many people could get fired this day if the boss stayed in a bad mood. This was Nicolettes fault, or so Amelia could read from the situation. She smiled a little, hiding her thoughts well.

"But Nicolette if you ever want to visit me, or have need of me, just page my computer. I have hooked yours into mine so you can speak to me. Though you won't be able to get into my files, if thats what you were thinking. The computer would fry before that"

Amelia warned. She had set up a program that allowed Nicolette and any other office worker to message her. But if they tried to hack her computer, well theirs was fried. And it came out of their paychecks, not hers. Not to mention, it was a good way to figure out who was loyal.

CHIEF ENGINEER
Dune lifted a couple pages from his desk and glanced over them. He sipped his coffee and looked up at the two women in his office. "Thank you Amelia, just leave the program on my desk and shoo." He told her, before setting the pages down and using his hand to point towards his office door, "I don't want neither of you ladies seeing me like this, now out." he said. He then stood up and began undressing. Dune needed to change clothes for meetings he had scheduled abroad. His gloves came off first, and were tossed onto his desk. He took off his tie and layed it over the back of his chair. He then began unbuttoning his shirt.

Amelia smiled and nodded. She put the disk down and left the office promptly. She then nodded again to Nicolette before heading to the elevator and hitting the button for the sublevel 2. She needed to get back to her office, to continue to work on the security system. It was now redone, however it needed to make sure everyone was in it, with the right level of security. Not to mention she wanted to run another background check on that Nicolette. Her smoothness last night was troublesome. Seeing the boss in that state re-enforced it.

"Alright computers do your thing"

She smiled taking a sip of her tea that was sitting beside her. This was her home, this room. With its big leather chair, and many screens. She could watch the entire building here. Except for the bosses room and the living quarters. They had sensors but no camera's. The living quarters had a program that picked up audio at times as well. Randomly. Of course she always did background checks on the staff, just in case the first few hadn't come up with something. They needed to keep everything up to date.

CHIEF ENGINEER
Domino Mercury Dom-10

Domino was waiting around for that case his superior was handing over to him. His legs were resting on his desk as he leaned back in his chair, his arms behind his head. Domino's eyes went down to the pistol in it's holster which was attached to the bottom of the desktop. He looked towards the door and sighed, closing his eyes. Domino leaned up a bit to grab his glass of water from the desk, pressing the glass to his lips for a drink. The water was stale because he had been there so long, doing paperwork and other boring tasks. He figured it was best to take a break before handing Mr. Revedouard the last stack for the day. He forgot the memo about the new security cards instead of the numbers to punch in each time. Domino stood up and went to the elevator, punching in his numbers to open it up. He stepped inside and pressed a button to take him all the way down to the first floor. The bullet proof doors opened up and he stepped out to let the doors shut. "Who do I talk to about the new cards though?" (Edited.)

Amelia looked up at the computer screens that watched the place to see Domino coming down and asking for the security cards. She quickly took out a card and clicked the button to activate it before leaving her office and heading to the floor he was on. She stepped up behind him and cleared her throat.

"Follow me please agent, I will show you how this works in a place that is more secure"

She told him and took out her own key, one of the few that had full access to the building, needing it for security and for the computer systems. She raised an eyebrow and waited for the man to follow her. He was a relatively new agent, not that many were staying with them long. The turn over of the job was high. She was almost the only one that had stayed as long as she had.

Domino Mercury Dom-10

Domino nodded and proceeded after her. He didn't care how slow work was, it was safe at the time. Safe was a word he didn't get to use in other professions. The agent looked down at her key, then back up to pull on his black tie a bit. "Very well miss. I was tired of punching in those buttons all the time anyways. I knew Mr. Revedouard would come around soon. I guess it must be hard to push buttons when you are so full of liquor." Domino laughed, making a joke about Dune. Though he joked, respect would never be taken away from the man who gave him his job. Who looked over him, and got him out of prison.

Amelia turned to glare at him when he insulted the boss. She sighed a bit as she got to her office, or at least the visitors portion. The main room where her computers were hidden behind another door.

"Actually Mr. Revedouard had nothing to do with it. He would have been fine with the codes. This is safer. Because these cards get checked in when you leave. You check them in to either me or Nicolette, Mr. Revedouards new secretary. We then write down your name, agent id, and the time you signed in or out. In order to get into the building. Because its easier to give a code out than this system. I re-programmed the system that the cards have to be re-activated every once and awhile, so I suggest you follow the rules with them. You sign them back to me, and you sign them out with Nicolette. This makes it so I can give her the programmed ones, and un-program these ones."

She added and paused for a second as she sat down at a small desk. She smiled slightly, knowing that she had more seniority. She hadn't had much time to socialize with any of the field agents.

"Any questions?"

CHIEF ENGINEER
Domino Mercury Dom-10

Domino listened closely to her, a serious look spread across his face. It was obviously not an insult but a joke that Mr. Revedouard would have laughed at. The agent reached out so she could give him his card. "Don't worry if you see that my name isn't in your computers under sign out. I live here in this building. I have a fold down cot in my office that I sleep on, when I do sleep."

Amelia looked at Domino oddly. Most of them had living quarters here, on the second or first sub floors. It was part of the whole place. Especially for the field agents. It was less dangerous than having to travel to and from work.

"I understand, most of us live here. If you haven't been assigned living quarters I would speak to Nicolette about that. As for the cards, don't worry I have ways to check into it. This system is my baby. I make it pretty much impossible to break"

She smiled proudly about the fact. She loved her computers, and the network she built. Though it was nothing like the disk she gave the boss. That was a state of the art security system that would require DNA sign in, as well as authentication purposes. It would be hidden behind so many fire walls, and security gate ways that it would be impossible to navigate without the original coding.

"Any questions Agent?"

She asked curiously.

Domino nodded at her words, then shaking his head. "I sleep in my office because I like to stay on my toes. It's the only thing I have ever been able to call my own. And yes, I have a question. Are you to busy to get some dinner with me, I haven't eaten all day." Domino smiled as he took
V__i__v__i__a__n____"Nicolette"____N__a__s__h

User Image With a nod and a roll of her eyes Nicolette was out of the room, she turned when Amelia told her about the computer set up putting up a brave face as she stepped out into the hall, sitting down at her new desk. She sighed staring at the blank screen of her sleeping computer... at least he'd given a reason for wanting her out of the room, and he'd told Amelia to leave too. It was clear from the scene in his office that even after they'd left the bar he'd continued to drink, which told her that he had felt SOMETHING.
The thought actually made her feel a bit better, and she was able to get a bit of work done. Her main goal was to find clients for the company since their recent customer intake had been damn near non existent and Nicolette was brought in to change all that.

Amelia smiled at the man who just invited her for dinner. She thought about it for a moment and sighed shaking her head.

"I would love to, but I am currently working on a project I am almost done. Raincheck? Say tomarow?"

She asked. And she was truthful. She had postponed her project to get that program done for the boss to see. She now needed to get back to it. It was a database, which allowed them to easily look up any clients they had worked with in the past, and their history. They had a permit from to government to do such a thing, so Amelia was making it easier for herself when she was told to look for that stuff. She had only the current employee's in the system and was working on programming the database to access any government network that was needed. After all, this would make their job a lot easier. If they knew how many people their client pissed off, the easier it was to protect them.

CHIEF ENGINEER
Dune sat forward in his chair, elbows on his desk, fingers interlocked. He stared at the wall opposite where he sat apprehensively. He was thinking of words to say. After some time, he reached down towards the intercom that connected his desk to Nicolette's. A push of a button opened a communication line between the desks, and he spoke, "Nicolette; in my office, now." he said seriously through the intercom. He then took his hand off of the communication device and leaned back in his chair, awaiting his new assistant's arrival.
