"Yeah your'e right." Toni nodded as she spoke and looked up into the sky as well. "Well I would think so, I mean it's like asking if there's life in the stars, they are out there somewhere, we just gotta find em." He said and looked back to Sally. He knew he had no family left, and Sally was as close to a good friend he had. "You busy tonight?" He asked, hoping she didn't take that question the wrong way. He just wanted to talk, nothing more nothing less. If he had feelings with her they were deeply repressed by his ability to block things out like that after loosing his family.

Charlie smiled at the joke, but didn't say anything. Something about being around a lot of people made her feel the urge to stay quiet. She watched the meat cooking, her stomach growling again. At the smell of food, others began coming closer.
"Now that I've got your attention, I guess it's a proper time for announcements." Clint jumped up onto the table. "Tomorrow, I plan on leading a sort of expedition to see what we can find to the east. We'll have to take the wagon and some bikes. In the meantime, I suppose y'all can take a well-deserved break from building." He smiled as this was met by mild applause. "Does anyone else have anything to say?"

The people began talking amongst themselves. Charlie waited a few moments before raising her hand. "What time do we leave?" She asked just loud enough to be heard. Several heads turned in her direction, but then they turned back to their leader.
"We leave at dawn." He smiled as his eyes met Charlie's. "Smells like the food's ready... If that's all, I say we dig in!" He jumped off of the cutting table and leaned against it, watching everyone get their share of fox and assorted vegetables.

Sally sighed and nodded. She then looked at him when he asked her if she was busy tonight. She shook her head. "Can't say that I am." she answered. She didn't take it any way other than what he meant. She knew better than that. She trusted Toni, considering he had always been so kind and thoughtful of the others in the group.

Charlie nodded, grabbed a hunk of meet and a bit of celery, and walked a ways away to a tree stump. She ate, watching the people mingling, debating how she would capture it next time she wrote. She saw Clint not that far away. "This expedition..." She began slowly, walking towards him. "... it wouldn't be a search for other survivors, would it?"
"I feel like I need to say no, but I have absolutely no idea. The main goal would be to find a town or a road or something. It's a legitimate goal to go and find supplies. If we do find more survivors, we'll cross that bridge when we get to it." He crossed his arms in contemplation, thinking for a short while. Then he turned back to Charlie and smiled. "Are you coming with us?"

"There's an entire world worth of cities." Charlie said quietly. She wondered if those cities had anyone living in them. Or around them. She was lost in the contemplation, when Clint asked if she was coming. "Well I'm definitely not staying behind." She said. "A historian has to go where history's being made." That, and she would rather go anywhere than deal with the gossips and old biddies looking at her like something was wrong with being a loner.
Toni nodded as the dinner bell rang and everyone began gathering around the fires, eager to get a taste of pig. But before everyone ate, Toni usually had something to say, so they looked to him and waited. He looked up and around and nodded, getting ready to speak. "Well, I have to admit our hunters did a damn good job today and brought in more than hat we need. So tomorrow I want everyone to take a break, not often we get one of those. So eat well and savor the taste." And with that, everyone began taking their piece of the pig and vegetables and separated into their groups. Toni got a plate for both him and Sally and sighed. "There's alot we have to figure out.."
"Then you should get to bed. Long day tomorrow." He smiled and yawned, grabbing a piece of bread and meat on the way to his tent, in between the cabins that have already been built.

She stuck her tongue out at him, but stood up and headed back to her place. It was a lean-to at the very edge of the camp. Not overly luxurious, but it was big enough for her and the few things she owned. She had an old tattered blanket, that was a few days away from being bandages. But it was workable and she wrapped herself up in it, curling up into a ball. She was asleep in a few minutes.
Clint stepped into his tent, an old oil lamp illuminating a map of New England covered in notes and markings. He had been trying to find out exactly where they were, and wouldn't have any idea if he was right until they went to explore. Next to the lamp was a short wave radio hooked up to a dilapidated car battery. He gave two taps to the talk button, in hopes someone would reply, but not exactly expecting it. He sighed and killed the lamp before laying down in the straw bed.
((Time skip: Day 2, morning, unless Green Mountain wants to keep with what they were doing...))
Clint was up before anyone else, as usual. He packed a small meal for the adventuring group into his backpack, along with his map. He also took the gas from his lamp and put it into the motorcycle that he had ridden out here on and hooked the wagon to the back.

Morning light seeped into Charlie's lean-to. She opened her eyes and was tempted to shut them again. But she got up, rolled up her blanket and tied it to her bag. She grabbed the remaining pens she had and put them in, as well as a dagger. It wasn't much for hunting, but you never knew when it could come in handy. She packed some extra clothes until her bag was full and slung it over her shoulder. She walked out into the still village. Few were there to see them off. She walked over to the wagon, eyeing the motorcycle dubiously. "Off to see the world." She said dryly.
