Sally looked down, sighing. "Yeah well he got pushy about certain...stuff.." she said, not meeting his eyes. She was quite embarrassed about almost being taken advantage of, and didn't really want anyone else to know about it. Ari nearly bumped into them then, and she smiled at her a bit. "Yeah, I think we have" she said.

Charlie quirked an eyebrow. "So you're gonna wait until we've redeveloped enough to open daycares?" She shook her head. "We're on the verge of extinction. Parent of the year doesn't matter anymore." She rolled her eyes at his obvious change of subject. "Yes. They've begun digging a cellar to store food over winter and a new garden is being planted." Since she did more observing than actual helping, she prided herself on being the most up-to-date on things happening. Made her feel more useful.
Toni nodded and kept moving. He wouldn't prod too far because he got the basic idea of it. Not surprising, but nothing to be dealt with harshly. Just a talk would be fine about respecting a woman's rights, they still did have those. When Ari bumped into them he nodded. "Yeah just enough to keep everyone fed for the time being." He said and looked around them, it seemed everyone may be returning from their hunts, so there would be time for a meeting hopefully. "Were heading back to camp now, I expect everyone else is as well. I think everyone will be sleeping alitle fuller tonight." He said with a smile, the deer were rather heavy but he knew not to over-ration or they would run out fast. The wooden walls of the colony became visible through the evergreens as was the smoke trail of the fire. So some people were already back, a good notion. "Ari did you see any other hunters on their way back?"
((The people have spoken, and here is the OoC thread.))
"Your intense logic on a subject that's traditionally entirely grounded in emotion is somewhat disturbing. Are you going to document every time I get it on with someone or something?" Clint laughed slightly, starting towards their home.

Ariane shook her head softly in response, glancing to the colony ahead of her."I went out way past the ridge.Tried exploring some new territory, ya know? Not much out there other than the poor little bunny who caught the wrong end of my arrow." she stated, then realizing now how hungry she was. She quickened her pace a little as they neared their home, eager to rest and eat after a long day of hiking and hunting.

"That is a very interesting idea." Charlie said, pretending to be in deep thought. "I'm sure whoever you do get it on with will want their name written in bold." She smirked. "I should find a red pen so I can critique your choices." She began smelling the colony before she saw it. Cooking fires, roasting meat, and other less-desirable odors that came from large groups of people living together.
"God, what have I done?" He teased as they approached the grouping of makeshift wooden houses and the start of a tall wall. "I'd better not see you come back with a red pen when we go out exploring tomorrow." Smirking, he swapped shoulders with the fox.
Toni nodded as Ari spoke. "Good to know, we can mark it out on our maps when we get back." He said and kept moving as the front gate came into view. The smell of meat already filled his nostrils and made him smile. They got something good. As they approached the gate, two guards armed with hunting rifles let them in before closing the gates behind them. In the middle of the colony, the cooking fires were burning and what looked to be a pig was being roasted as the children ran around the fire, seemingly elated that they would be eating something so big. Several of the younger adults and teens came to take the game that the three had caught and store it away for the time being.

"Looks like we will be eating even better than I expected." He said with a big grin on his face. One of the men came up to him and told him that they had come across the pig at an old farm about eight miles out. They killed it and wheeled it all the way back to the colony, since it was already old it would be better to eat it as soon as possible. He looked back to Ari and Sally. "Ever had pig roast before?"

Sally kept walking beside them, her stomach growling a bit. She hadn't realized how hungry she actually was. "Well, I say we waste no time getting back. I don't know about you two, but I'm ready for a good meal." she said with a smile. The colony was visible now. Though she planned on getting a good meal herself, she wanted to make sure the children in their colony had plenty as well. She had a soft spot for the ones there.

Once inside, her hunger increased upon smelling the pig. She was quite surprised they had actually gotten one, but extremely lucky. She looked at Toni. "Can't say I have. But it's been a while since I had barbecue, I know that much."

"I promise you wont see a red pen when we come back tomorrow." She said with an angelic smile. "But you might not want to look too closely." As they walked back, she realized her stomach was growling. She sighed. Beyond writing, she was more or less teaching herself had to sew. People were beginning to grow out of clothes and it was getting harder and harder to find them. They would have to fall back on the basics. But with all the sewing and writing, she hardly had time to eat. "I don't suppose you could get your furry friend roasted up in a hurry?" She asked.
"I was just thinking that myself." Clint smiled as he walked towards the cooking fires, heading for the table to clean the fox.

Charlie followed him to the fire, noting with a smug grin the number of girls that straightened up at the sight of him. Many eyes narrowed at the sight of Charlie, but relaxed when the realized who it was. She'd established herself as a loner early and few felt threatened by her. Still, no one tried to approach him just yet.
"Anyone else think this is still cleaner than that butcher on 43rd and Broadway?" He joked with the other guys as he skinned and cleaned the fox, then cut the good meat and threw it on the makeshift grill, letting the rest go into the chitlins bucket for the southern guy to cook later.
Toni laughed and walked up o the fire and one of the kids ran up to him, pointing at the pig on the roast. "It's huuuuge! Are we eating it for dinner?!" The kid asked, Toni rubbed the kids head and nodded. "Yeah I guess so." He said and the kid was off once again to play with his friends. He waited till Sally was next to him as he looked into the fire, a little bit of a stern look on his face. "Things have been going good so far.....I hope it stays this way." He said, hopefully she would reply.

Sally smiled as the child questioned about the pig. She stepped forward until she stood beside Toni, nodding lightly. "We've made it this far, so we should be able to keep going." she said. She then looked up at the sky a bit. "I....wonder if there are others out there somewhere." she said. Even though she had never found them before, she still held out a small hope that at least one of her family members had survived.
