History
Beginnings
Usea was originally populated by Polynesians from the Marquesas and Society Islands, it was found by the Japanese who started to settle on the land with a few colonies. The knowledge of the 'other side of the world' as it was called, quickly spread to other Asian regions and they too started to migrate to Usea. It was not until Europeans discovered Asia that they too discovered Usea. The British, Spanish, and French, all started to settle on the west coast of Usea. They did not move farther south, north, or inland because at the time they thought it was the other side of America. There were fights between the colonies as the European nations fought with eachother time and time again. Eventually it was the French that gained most of the region and took control. The British and Spanish lost their colonies when Napoleon took control of France. As a French colony, Usea grew from sea to sea to span the entire mainland. World War I passed the nation by without much of the fighting spreading into the Pacific. Usean soldiers fighting under the French flag helped to fight, but the action did not spread out of Europe. World War Two however, was another story.
In September 1940, during World War II, Vichy France, which had just submitted to Nazi Germany granted Japan's demands for military access to Usea. Usea wanted nothing to do with it, and declared it's independence from Vichy France. A conflict between Usea and the Japanese Empire followed. The Japanese wanted Usea to further expand it's access in the Pacific and to prevent the United States from using it as a base. Pearl Harbor assured that Usea would have American help in fighting the Japanese. Usean paramilitary and regular military fought the Japanese on land, using unconventional tactics to hold the invasion at bay. By the time the United States arrived, the Japanese were tired at used to fighting small bandit attacks. They were unprepared for the military might of the United States. With Usea freed, the United States used it as a staging point into the rest of the Pacific. Useans were eager to fight along side American soldiers in freeing Asia from Japanese control. While the Usean fighting force was small and poorly equipped, they still helped anyway they could. America gave them old fighter planes and weapons, with training on them included, so they could defend against attacks and assist the United States in the war. When the war ended, Usea was granted the independence it declared.
Many Nations
With Usea's new independence, it was split into many nations. These seperate nations had their own laws, but all shared the same constitution. The leaders of each nation met monthly to discuss affairs in Usea. All of the nations had close ties to the United States and their former oppressor of France. Food and produce from Usea was shipped to France and the rest of Europe to help with the recovery by the United States. In 1949, the United States and France helped to create the North Atlantic Treaty, which then formed NATO. In the fight against the Communist threat, the United States was quick to make sure none of the Usean nations became communist. It provided the Usean nations with military hardware to prevent communist revolutionary forces from gaining power. This would continue until the end of the Cold War, giving all the nations of Usea a great deal of NATO hardware. Most of the nations of Usea helped the United States in Veitnam. When Veitnam ended, the opinion of the war had not changed in Usea as it had in the United States. For this reason the nation started to come out of it's shell, becoming more active in world politics. When the Cold War came to an end, there was peace and calm on Usea.
1994XFO4 Ulysses asteroid
In 1994, an asteroid, first labeled '1994XFO4', and later renamed 'Ulysses', was discovered approaching the Earth's atmosphere. The Usean government calls for the world's nations to meet on the subject. In 1999, uring a world peace meeting, a coup d'etat takes place at North Point. This deposes the current government, and puts the military in power. The coup forces then expand outwards, taking over most of the Usean continent. Because of the massive power of the coup forces, the United Forces hire the Special Tactical Fighter Squadron: "Scarface" to supplant its forces. After many victories, a two-pronged offensive is used to divide the enemy forces and drive them into Port Edwards. Then, the decisive battle takes place at St. Ark where the capitol is being defended by many enemy soldiers. The war ends with one final operation, the destruction of a secret fortress where the coup leaders have escaped, and a dangerous missile was being prepared for launch. Although it's an allied victory, the loss of many generals and soldiers gives Erusea much more strength than it had before the war. On July 8th 1999, five years after being identified, Ulysses passed the Roche limit and split into more than a thousand pieces, which then plummeted to Earth. Over 500,000 people perished within the first two weeks, and damage was estimated to be the equivalent of 18 months of the total GDP for the entire continent of Usea. Smaller meteorites continued to fall intermittently for several more years.
In 2003, the Usean Public Network is established. This is a Usean Government operated broadcast system, allowing for announcements to be made across the entire continent. Four years after the tragedy of the Ulysses planet fall, Erusean forces began their invasion of San Salvacion, a neutral nation. San Salvacion, due to its strategic location has been the site of many wars. After three days of intense air raids and ground fighting San Salvacion's capital finally fell to Erusian military forces. Along with this nation's strategic position, the Erusian military also gained exclusive control of Stonehenge, a huge rail gun that was originally developed to destroy asteroids that failed to burn up completely upon entering the atmosphere. It was a cooperative project developed and built by the international community. In response to the attack, neighboring countries banded together to form the Independent States Alliance and the Independent States Allied Forces. However, the Erusean military modified Stonehenge, turning it into an anti-aircraft weapon, with a range covering nearly the entire continent. The ISAF, without the option of air support, began retreating to the east in the face of heavy ground attacks. They were then forced to re-establish a new HQ at North Point, a small island nation off Usea's eastern coast.

September 18th, 2004
While on a routine combat air patrol over the Comona Islands, an ISAF Navy F-14 intercepts two Erusian Air Force SU-37’s which penetrate Comona air space. The two aircraft belong to the mysterious elite Yellow squadron, one of the Erusian aircraft jumps the F-14 and shoots it down, fortunately both crewmen of the stricken Tomcat are able to eject safely and are later rescued. Later that afternoon at around 15:45 hours, an ISAF Air Force A-10 intercepts an Erusian Air Force TU-95 Bear bomber near Newfield Island. Though the Erusian aircraft here makes no hostile acts, it was becoming apparent to ISAF commanders that something major was going to happen. By 6:35 that evening, word was sent out from ISAF HQ at North Point to put all forces in the region at Defense Condition Delta. Curfews and mandatory blackouts were ordered and the public was informed that these conditions were to be enforced. It was also on this day that ISAF newly formed elite fighter squadron know as Mobius squadron was dispatched to Newfield Island to strengthen the fighter force at Allenfort, while other units of the naval wing of Mobius were dispatched to the carrier Fort Grace.

In a bold move, the Erusian Air Force launches a raid on Newfield Island to attack Allenfort Air Base in an attempt to cripple the only defense between North Point and the mainland. Six TU-95’s along with fighter escort, take off from Rigley Air Base (a facility that formerly belonged to ISAF in the early stages of the conflict) and headed out that afternoon for Newfield. Though Allenfort and some of the surrounding city suffered minor damage, victory would be on the side of ISAF this day, as Mobius squadron put up a very stiff resistance to this incursion. The Erusian air force paid dearly for this attack as they lost all six bombers and their fighter escort as well. However it was soon learned that ISAF’s victory was a bitter sweet one as they discovered that other forces in the region were not so lucky as many suffered heavy losses in some of the other attacks that occurred that day. The generals and commanders of ISAF knew that the attacks that happened that day were only a prelude to a much bigger plan, whatever it was, they knew that this was going to be a long and tough fight.

With the Erusians demanding ISAF and the North Point government to surrender unconditionally and with threats being made to strike at civilians, the government gives the okay to ISAF commanders to go ahead and make plans to knock out Rigley Air Base. It is hoped that once this is done, the base can be retaken and used to gain a foothold on the mainland until a full scale invasion can take place. In the meantime the base will be used only to conduct air operations and to protect North Point from further attacks.
October 5th, 2004
ISAF launches "OPERATION HARVEST," the retaking of Rigley Air Base. This attack is to wipe out the remaining Bear bomber force and to neutralize the base so it will no longer be a threat to North Point or the surrounding region. Again Mobius squadron is sent in, they destroy the entire force on the ramp, along with the fighter squadrons stationed there. No aircraft are able to get airborne, and those that already were, are quickly shot right out of the sky. However two Mobius squadron aircraft are shot down and one is badly damaged. This raid struck a blow right into the heart of the Erusian forces as they lost a key facility within close reach of North Point. Following the raid, ISAF forces secure Rigley and prepare to use it as a forward air base on the mainland to provide protection in and around the region, as well as a stepping stone for future operations.
October 10th, 2004
Another ISAF facility captured by the Erusians, the early warning radar stations on Mt. Shezna, known as the" Eyes of the north", were attacked and put out of action. This move allows ISAF to withdraw its remaining forces at St. Ark to North Point as Erusean forces were closing in on that city and were within days of taking it. The move also enables ISAF to re-constitute its strength and begin making plans for the retaking of the mainland from the Erusians as well as providing additional support to North Point. With Mt. Shezna out of operation, the Erusians have lost another valuable asset to their plans for capturing North Point. Allied forces soon learned that this facility was also acting as a listening post, monitoring all of ISAF’s and North Point government radio and telecommunication traffic.

In the Erusian capital of Farbanti, government and military officials continued to discuss their plans for the invasion of North Point despite the loss of both Rigley air base and the Mt. Shezna radar stations. They decide to send a large element of their Aegir fleet to Comberth Harbor, as this was to be the staging base for their invasion operation. Another plan put forth by the Air Force, was to establish an air bridge to keep a steady flow of troops and supplies into Comberth. Late that evening word came down from the naval high command to have the Aegir fleet make preparations to get underway no later than by the evening of October 13th. The air bridge would not begin until the evening of November 6th, and would last until at least mid December, that is when the Erusians planned to begin their invasion operations. ISAF also made moves of its own on this day, the Riass Strategic Space Center in the Comona Islands, was now becoming an important launch facility for ISAF and they hoped to place into orbit at least five reconnaissance satellites to aid in both pre-invasion planning and to observe Erusian military movements. A scheduled launch was set for December 31st as ISAF wanted these satellites operational before any invasion operation could take place. With the bomber threat gone for now and only smaller raids being conducted by the Erusians, ISAF naval command dispatches the carrier Fort Grace and her ten ship battle group south to the Rocky Islands to assist Southern Seas Command with stopping Erusian naval and air activity in the area.
October 13th, 2004
The Erusian air force deploys six B-2 bombers to their new forward air base near Chopinburg, as part of what was becoming "OPERATION STEAM ROLLER", their planned invasion of North Point. If all went well, the Erusian government planned to have taken North Point by January 15th. That evening at about 7:45pm, elements of the mighty Aegir fleet weighed anchor and set sail out of Farbanti and began to get underway to Comberth Harbor under heavy air cover. Earlier on this day, a meeting of all high ranking ISAF generals and commanders takes place to discuss their concerns about the Stonehenge weapon and the impact it would have on ISAF invasion plans. Before their withdraw from the mainland, an attack was staged on Stonehenge which proved to be a disaster and a major defeat for ISAF as they lost twenty four aircraft in the battle. Another concern was about the Erusian air forces elite Yellow squadron who, flying out of San Salvacion since the attack, had been protecting the cannon. Despite many disagreements and because of the threat Stonehenge posed, ISAF again decides to launch another attack to try to destroy it once and for all before any D-Day operations could begin. This would allow allied aircraft to operate freely over the mainland without being harassed by the super weapon. A planned attack was set for October 18th, which this time would only involve fourteen aircraft flying below 2,000ft to avoid being shot down and Rigley Air Base would be used to stage the attack.
October 18th, 2004
At 011:00 hours, ISAF attacks Stonehenge with five F-15E, five Tornado IDS’s and four EF-2000’s. Flying escort are sent in, but once again the results are disasterous: only two of the fourteen aircraft return safely back to Rigley, but very badly damaged. After debriefing the pilots it is discovered that now Stonehenge has a heavier air defense system in place and that the feared Yellow squadron is still guarding the super weapon. It was becoming apparent that the Erusian high command was not taking any chances at losing the facility and that they wanted to protect this place at all cost. With its second defeat attacking Stonehenge, ISAF decides not to conduct any more attacks until the situation can be better evaluated. The Erusians, now alerted following ISAF’s attack on Stonehenge, begin to deploy reinforcements to Los Canas at their Istas fortress and to San Salvacion in the heart of the mainland. More combat aircraft are directed to their forward air base near Chopinburg and a medium size force is sent out into the Faith Park region to secure their new solar power plant located there. Other regions in the north are also strengthened as the Erusians prepare for the possibilty of more attacks.
October 29th, 2004
Allenfort Air Base is seriously damaged by a missile attack from an Erusian submarine that manages to get near Newfield Island undetected. The attack destroys the runways, hangars, fuel storage tanks and some of the aircraft parked on the tarmac. There are several casualties and many others with serious injuries. News of the attack soon reaches ISAF HQ and alerts naval command of the possible presence of an enemy submarine in the area. Within a half hour of the attack, five ISAF Navy P-3C’s are airborne and begin searching for the enemy sub. The frigate Newton joins in as well and lauches both its Seahawk helicopters in the search. Unfortunately luck would be on the side of the Erusian Navy that day as their submarine is able to slip out of the area never to be found. Meanwhile at Rigley, the Erusian Air Force tried an attempt of its own to destroy the base but fails. Thanks to the presence of Mobius squadron, Rigley is spared and air operations are able to continue. Back in North Point, panic sets in on the public after hearing news of the missile attack on Allenfort. Fear that cities and towns might be targeted next, the President orders the ISAF Navy to continue their anti-submarine patrols and to deploy whatever warships it can spare to provide a naval blockade of the waters around North Point and Newfield Island.

Hoping to fly runs over the Erusian capital of Farbanti, ISAF sends elements of its 6th Strategic Reconnaissance Wing to Rigley Air Base to begin high altitude photo recon flights. Reports of a secret project under construction by the Erusians concerns the government in North Point, but unsure about the accuracy of these reports, and because the Stonehenge problem could be eliminated, these flights are not to be due.
October 31st, 2004
While patrolling in the Southern Sea near Skully Island, the ISAF Navy submarine Sea Leopard spots elements of the Aegir fleet "en route" for Comberth Harbor. With orders to engage any and all hostile ships, the Sea Leopard shadows them for an hour. When she finally closes the range the order is given to attack with torpedoes only as firing missiles would only reveal their precise location. As the tubes are loaded and ready to fire, a malfunction in the fire control system prevents the Sea Leopard from attacking and the Aegir fleet is able to continue unharmed on its way to Comberth Harbor.
November 6th, 2004
Incoming news from the resistance fighters on the mainland alert ISAF of the Erusians plan to invade North Point and the fact that, deploying a large portion of their Aegir fleet into Comberth, they are now only just 8 days away from arriving. ISAF is also informed of the established air bridge that was going to be used to airlift supplies and troops into Comberth for "OPERATION STEAM ROLLER". With now the real threat of invasion at hand, ISAF decides to act quickly to put a stop to this air bridge immediately. As the situation is evaluated, it becomes clear that there would be no interference from Stonehenge as the area is well out of its firing range, allied aircraft would be free to conduct their operation safely. Once again, another missile attack is made by an Erusian submarine, this time at key military bases in the northern region of North Point. Damages were somewhat serious to some major elements of ISAF’s mainland invasion forces. President Maxwell issues orders for the evacuation of most of the northern towns and cities to avoid civilian casualties. He also request ISAF to strengthen its northern line of defense with both mobile AA guns and missile batteries. That night, just before 9:30pm, the Erusian air bridge known as "OPERATION RAILROAD" begins. The movement of troops and supplies is underway.
November 7th, 2004
ISAF attacks the Erusian air bridge and engages in a fierce air battle with a large contingent of escorting fighters. Despite heavy jamming provided by Erusian E-767’s protecting the transports, "OPERATION RAILROAD" comes to a complete halt and the air route into Comberth is no longer safe for them to fly. Though this attack stops the air bridge, it doesn’t stop the Erusian Navy. With the Air Force unable to fly the troops and supplies in, the Navy high command feels it stands a much better chance at it and decides to give it a go. The new supply route, now known as "OPERATION COMBERTH EXPRESS" gets underway and other elements of the Aegir fleet now begin the movement of troops and supplies into Comberth.

President Maxwell announces to the media that there will be a temporary blackout of all news from the military regarding any and all upcoming operations, and that nothing would be available until futher notice. This meant that the public was to be left in the dark as well. Concerns about information leaking into the wrong hands was becoming a major concern, only those at ISAF and especially Mobius squadron knew of what was to come.
November 19th, 2004
An early morning raid is conducted upon the Erusian petrochemical complex north of Comberth Harbor. Known as "OPERATION EARLY BIRD", Mobius squadron destroys both the on-shore and off-shore facilities and stops the flow of fuel, crippling the Erusians ability to provide their war machine with a vital life blood to run it. A tense air battle erupts as the Erusian Air Force makes a show of its own putting up a tenacious fight against ISAF forces. ISAF provides Mobius squadron with a KC-10 tanker that was loitering just outside the combat zone for refueling enabling them to remain over the target area and to continue the fight. They also receive support from an E-767 AWAC’s known as SkyEye... Within forty five minutes, Mobius squadron has the situation under control when the E-767 AWAC’s codename SkyEye suddenly warns them of five aircraft closing in fast and hot. It turns out that the Erusians had deployed their elite Yellow squadron to the area. During the movement of its forces, the Erusians decided to shift Yellow squadron away from Stonehenge for a short duration, to provide assistance to their forces in the region and to surprise ISAF’s elite squadron. SkyEye orders Mobius squadron to retreat and return to base, but despite their efforts, five ISAF aircraft are blown out of the sky by the Yellows. Despite the presence of the Yellow squadron, today was another victory for ISAF and a major blow to the enemy. Also on this day the ISAF Navy guided missile cruiser Stalwart is sunk by an Erusian submarine operating in the area of the Fort Grey Islands. Fifteen crewmen were lost and those that survived were later rescued by the carrier Port Edwards.

After the raid on the petrochemichal complex, there is brief pause in the war as both sides collect themselves to prepare for the next round. ISAF however conducts a U-2 flight over Comberth Harbor to see if the Aegir fleet is there or not. As the flight returns to Rigley, the film is immediately taken for processing and shown to the ISAF high command. The fleet was there, nicely anchored at rest...there would be no need for a second flight. The pictures also revealed the presence of amphibious ships, transports and warships escorting the fleet. ISAF high command knew now that this was the invasion fleet and that it had to be stopped at all cost. It was set, Mobius squadron would go in and sink the "Invincible Fleet" before it could sail.

12:00 hours "Death of the mighty invincible Aegir fleet"
Similar to another historical attack, ISAF launches "OPERATION ROUGH SEAS" against the mighty Aegir fleet while it lies immobilized at Comberth Harbor. Nothing is spared, warships, amphibious ships, supply ships, transports, dock yard facilities, everything is wiped out. As a small group of warships lead by the battleship Tanager and the carrier Geofon trys to escape the carnage and make a break for the open sea, they soon meet a watery grave. No vessel gets lucky enough to escape, the attack was swift and fast, Mobius squadron aircraft hit their targets with deadly accuracy and within fifteen minutes of the attack, most of the fleet was either sunk or left in smoking ruins. Enemy aircraft fared no better either, though Mobius squadron lost ten aircraft, the Erusian Navy and Air Forces paid a much higher price. After over an hour and a half it was all over. ISAF was able to proclaim yet another victory in this war and the Erusians planned invasion of North Point was not to be. As the attack was underway at Comberth, small groups of ISAF army special forces were quietly inserted behind enemy lines to link up with the resistance fighters and begin paving the way for the retake of the mainland. If all went as planned accordingly, they would begin their invasion by January 24th.

At a brief ceremony held at Rigley air base, Mobius squadron is decorated for their brilliant performance in "OPERATION ROUGH SEAS." They were now to become known as Mobius Blue Squadron. They would bear the blue color as a symbol of freedom for all of the Independent States Allied Force but also as the blue that represents the color of the ISAF flag.
This was truly a proud day for all Mobius pilots and for ISAF.
December 1st, 2004
Still stinging from the attack at Comberth and the loss of most of their Aegir fleet, the Erusian government calls upon the Air Force to draw up plans for an airborne assault on North Point. With many of its transport aircraft tied up in other operations and loosing a large number of them during "OPERATION RAILROAD," the government decides to wait for a better opportunity to conduct such an operation. In the meantime they try to focus on shoring up their defenses to insure that, if ISAF invades the mainland, they would pay dearly for it. With the destruction of the Aegir fleet at Comberth, there is no more naval activity in the area of the Fort Grey Islands. Southern Seas Command is very much relieved, and soon all Erusian air force and naval air activity tapers off. However despite this, the carrier Fort Grace and her ten ship battle group remain in the area, for precaution, just in case the Erusians decide to return for another round.
December 10th, 2004
With forty five days left until ISAF begins its invasion operation against the mainland, preparations get underway to start positioning men and equipment at staging points along the coast, and to begin to conduct final training for D-Day. With some assistance from the U.S., Britain and France, ISAF recieves vital aircraft, ships and other military hardware that helps them gain an even footing with the Erusians. Even the Russians lend a hand to aid as well, though a large amount of their hardware was sent early on to the Erusians. With reports of ISAF preparing a satellite launch in the Comona Islands, the Erusian Air Force command decides to move its six B-2’s from their air base near Chopinburg to another one located at Seals Bridge. Considering that "OPERATION STEAM ROLLER" would not be taking place, it was now decided that these bombers could be used to strike the Comona facilities if the order was given. Another reason for this move was that this placed the bombers within a much closer range of the islands than their location near Chopinburg. And though these aircraft could be used to strike anytime and anywhere, the Air Force did not want to make their presence known in the area. They also couldn’t afford to risk loosing such valuable assets by exposing their exact location to the enemy in the process.

Reports come into ISAF HQ from their forward deployed special forces about the huge solar power plant in the Faith Park region. These reports indicate that though this power plant is providing most of its power to numerous towns and major cities, it supplies power to Stonehenge as well. Though Stonehenge is an electromagnetic rail gun, it still needs a supply of electrical power at the facility to operate properly. It is soon decided that the plant in the Faith Park region needs to be destroyed. However the plant also lies within Stonehenge's range and risking valuable pilots and aircraft becomes a major concern for ISAF. If this facility could be knocked out, the threat of this weapon’s use could be ended. After hours of debating, ISAF generals decide the risk is worth taking and President Maxwell gets informed and gives the green light for a mission. In four days two squadrons, Mobius Blue Squad and the High Rollers, would take part in what would be called "OPERATION BLACKOUT". Mobius Blue Squad pilots would first use their down time to rest and have their aircraft inspected and fitted for the upcoming mission as later on that same day the High Rollers would arrive at Rigley to get rest and to have their aircraft prepared as well. Meanwhile, off the coast of Skully Island, a naval engagement takes place between ISAF Navy guided missile cruiser Meriton and her escorting destroyers against the Erusian heavy missile cruiser Leviathan along its six escorting destroyers and frigates. Luck would be with ISAF as their ships are able to get the first blows fast: two of the escorting Erusian warships are sunk and the Leviathan and its four remaining escorts are seriously damage and forced to withdraw from the combat area.

Two of the five reconnaissance satellites to be used for pre-invasion planning are shipped from North Point to the Riass Strategic Space Center in the Comona Islands by two ISAF air force C-5 Galaxies. The remaining three satellites are close to completion and are to be ready by December 31st.
December 16th, 2004
"OPERATION BLACKOUT" gets underway. Both Mobius and High Roller squadrons attack the solar power plant in the Faith Park region but the Erusian Air Force is there to greet them as well. Despite the resistance put by their Air Force in and around the complex, both Mobius and High Rollers squadrons destroy the Erusian facility. As soon as the attack is over, SkyEye warns both squadrons of an incomming firing from Stonehenge. SkyEye urges all pilots to get below 2,000ft but for many of the retreating aircraft it’s already too late. All but three aircraft from the High Rollers and five from Mobius Blue Squad are able to get to lower altitude. Though the attack on the solar power plant is a success, it is later reported that day that Stonehenge still remains operational.
December 17th, 2004
In the Erusian capital of Farbanti, prime minister Anatole Verdun and his cabinet along with his joint chiefs of staff meet to discuss the progress of their work on what was soon to be publicly known as "Project Megalith". "Project Megalith" was a planned National Missile Defense System that had been under construction for years to defend the Usea continent from the planetfall of the Ulysses 1994 XF04 asteroid. However, due to the quick completion of Stonehenge, "Project Megalith" was put on hold indefinitely. Now with a nation at war, the Erusians were hoping to turn a weapon of defense into a weapon of mass destruction. They were also hoping that, once Megalith completed, it would allow them to force ISAF into an unconditional surrender with the threat of total destruction. Prime minister Verdun also discusses with his air force and naval commanders plans for shifting some of their air assets to their air bases in the southeast to prepare an attack on the ISAF space facility in the Comona Islands. Though this move might take some time, The Erusian government hopes to have these assets in place before December 31st. It was planned that the Navy and Air Force fighters would draw the ISAF fighters into a huge air battle while in the meantime the six B-2’s sent early on would hopefully fly in undetected and bomb the launch facility, knocking out ISAF’s ability to put their recon satellites into orbit. If all goes as planned, the Erusian government is hopeful that the invasion of North Point could resume at once.

Meanwhile in North Point, the island nation was much alive with activity as troops of the ISAF forces continued their routine training exercises in preparations for the assault on the Usea mainland. Civilians were able to see most of this activity at hand as some of the exercises took place in and around some of the many small farming communities in North Point. This didn’t bother the people at all as they felt very secure with the ISAF presence among them. When the nation had learned of the destruction of the Erusian Aegir fleet at Comberth Harbor and found out that this was an military force destined to protect North Point, people were happier more than ever to see ISAF forces arrive in their villages and towns and even in the skies above. Aircraft roared over head on a daily basis as Air Force and Navy aircraft practiced low level runs through valleys and over farmland. Many boys eyes were glued to the sky as they watched ISAF fighters conduct simulated dogfights. As many of them wanted to become pilots growing up, they watched in fascination ISAF planes twist and turned through the skies in a graceful ballet of skill and precision. As for the adults who stood by watching, they knew what it was all about. They knew and feared for the future. They feared for their children’s future as well, and for what would come to their world.

ISAF forces gathered at North Point to prepare for an invasion of the mainland, and push back Erusian forces. Before this invasion can occur a vital military satellite must be launched from the Riass Space Launch Facility in the Comona Islands; located in the south eastern sea of Usea. Also seeing the vitality of this launch Erusian high command orders all land and sea based aircraft to completely wipe out the entire facility. "OPERATION COUNTDOWN" becomes Mobius squadron shining hour. The largest air battle in history occurs on this day. It is said that over 200 aircraft from both sides had participated in this aerial battle. Erusian high command also deployed the Yellow Squadron; an ace squadron said to be the best of any military on the planet. Mid-way through the battle Erusian B-2As appeared, but were dispatched immediately. The Yellow Squadron was also forced to withdraw due to fuel consumption and their leader Yellow 13's aircraft was damaged badly. The air battle ended in ISAF's favor and their satellite was launched Successfully. Now ISAF's invasion plans began and Erusian forces went on high alert.

The ISAF invasion forces strike the mainland in "OPERATION BUNKER SHOT". The landing forces came under heavy fire as naval bombardments proved ineffective. Enemy artillery and aircraft started to chew into the landing forces. Mobius squadron flys in to lend air support to the landing forces. The enemy bunkers, aircraft, and artillery are smashed into silence. Just as it seems the beachhead is sucessful, enemy A-10 fighters appear and start to cut into the now established ground forces. As a final act of salvation, Mobius squadron destroys the enemy jets.

"OPERATION WOOD PECKER" is an attack on Istas Fortress also known as the Tango Line and is where ISAF is able to push deeper into the mainland on their way to the Erusian capital of Farbanti. After organizing their landed forces, ISAF Command sent ground forces to retake Los Canas, a vital city outside of Stonehenge's range. At the same time air strikes against Istas Fortress began. Istas Fortress, a system of bases and positions dug into a mountainous terrain system; this fortress stands in the way of an ISAF advance. The ISAF air strike successfully knocked out the fortress, though Stonehenge fired at them. The ISAF successfully captured Los Canas and a forward HQ was established to further support an ISAF thrust inland.

Mobius 1, the top ace of Mobius squadron, takes on a single mission known as "OPERATION NOAH’S ARK." The ISAF had been contacted by engineers who worked on Stonehenge asking for amnesty for them and their family, as they were preparing to defect from Erusian control. The ISAF granted them amnesty and they defected via Air Ixiom flights 702 and 701; two civilian airliners. En route, however, they were attacked by FEAF (Federal Erusian Air Force) fighters. Mobius 1 dispatched the pursuing fighters, allowing the Air Liners landed safely at an ISAF Air Base. The Stonehenge engineers then revealed detailed information to ISAF High Command, allowing them to formulate an effective operation to destroy Stonehenge before Erusian High Command could deploy any more reinforcements. The mission is a complete success and Mobius 1 is decorated for his heroism.
April 2nd, 2005
"OPERATION STONE CRUSHER" or the day ISAF had been waiting for: the final destruction of the dreaded weapon Stonehenge. The ISAF sent a small air strike force to attack Stonehenge. The aircraft penetrated the Erusian air defense unseen and made their way into firing range of Stonehenge. The barrage from Stonehenge was fierce and the anti-air defenses were also very heavy. Air Forces deployed at Stonehenge were scrambled quickly to engage the intruding strike force. However, Stonehenge fell to a single ISAF fighter; piloted by Mobius One - An ISAF pilot which had been participating in many pivotal battles before this attack, and was becoming one of ISAF's highest scoring aces. As ISAF aircraft began to withdraw from Stonehenge the Yellow Squadron appeared and engaged them. During the battle a Yellow Squadron fighter, Yellow 4, was shot down and the squadron retreated. Yellow 4 was shot down by Mobius One.

Mobius 1 once again is tasked with taking on a single mission, "OPERATION BLINDMAN’S BLUFF." Not only does he shoot down a hoard of airborn jammers placed in the Gnome ravine by the Erusians, but he also single handely downs five enemy aircraft, allowing an ISAF U-2 recon plane to make it safely back to Rigley Air Base from searching out an Erusian secret project. The U2 was returning with photos of a new super weapon being built off the coast of Erusea. This alarmed ISAF HQ, they needed to end the war faster than ever before this super weapon, known as Megalith; is completed.
June 18th, 2005
A northern landing force is dispatched from North Point to secure northern Usea. Mobius 1 is sent in alone again to protect the northern landing forces in the Ice Creek area. "OPERATION AURORA" becomes a matter of life or death for the landing forces as the Erusians launch a full scale cruise missile attack to stop ISAF’s northern advance. The cruise missiles are shot down, along with a single Nuclear tipped cruise missile; this shows ISAF how desperate Erusian High Command is becoming. Now ISAF forces prepare to liberate San Salvacion.
July 10, 2005
ISAF forces, along with resistance fighters in the city of San Salvacion, conduct " OPERATION FIREFLY." The battle takes place at 0000hrs. or Midnight USEA Central Meantime. The fighting is fierce as ISAF forces, along with local resistance members, battle in the city streets. The Yellow Squadron along with other Erusian forces in San Salvacion, fought tooth and nail for the sovereign country. However, their forces were being badly beaten and they were forced to withdraw from the city. As Erusian forces withdrew, Erusian High Command ordered Heavy Bombers to flatten the entire city. The aircraft were shot down and ISAF ground forces successfully captured the city. San Salvacion was free once again.
August 15th, 2005
Erusian High Command begins to amass their troops at the Whiskey Corridor, a desert that lies between the Lambert and Amber mountain ranges. This is the only route within ISAF range to send in their ground forces to attack the Erusian homeland. After regrouping at San Salvacion ISAF GHQ ordered all ground forces to break through the Whiskey Corridor in "OPERATION SANDSTORM". This battle became one of the largest ground battles in world history. Though they fought valiantly, the Erusian forces were almost completely wiped out. This was thanks to immense air support from ISAF air force pilots, including Mobius One; now an ISAF national hero. A road to the Erusian capital city of Farbanti, is now opened.
September 19th, 2005
Erusian High Command, in a complete panic order all available forces back to Farbanti. The ISAF now gather their remaining troops and nearby naval and air forces and commence a siege of Farbanti. "OPERATION AUTUMN THUNDER" is launched upon the Erusian capital. The ISAF air force faced the brunt of the load by being assigned to aide ground forces, destroy all vital bridges, secure a ground route and claim air superiority all at once. The leader of this aerial unit was Mobius One. The battle lasts for what seems to be forever and the losses are mounting on each side. However the ISAF get an upper hand when bridges are destroyed, cutting off any reinforcement the Erusian military had coming. ISAF ground forces penetrated their defense lines and encircled the Erusian GHQ. ISAF Naval forces, still shelling any and all Erusian military positions; also chocked any escape routes by the sea. Two large Erusian submarines, in the submerged metro-area were sunk and helicopters carrying high ranking Erusian officers were also shot down. However, it is believed that a third submarine had escaped during the first moments of the battle. The Yellow Squadron had arrived over Farbanti and were ready to fight until the end. Only one fighter, Mobius One, engaged them. An epic aerial battle ensues and Mobius One shoots down all five of the Yellow Squadron aircraft, along with their leader Yellow 13. The Erusian Supreme Commander is also killed in the battle. The remaining Erusian forces surrender and the war is beginning to end. However, it was not over yet.

Many young Erusian officers and fanatical Erusian soldiers then take over Megalith. Megalith, a rocket launch facility that was able to shoot down asteroid fragments in orbit, had to be destroyed. While a final air strike was being prepared an ISAF special operations team was sent to infiltrate Megalith and take over the control room to open heat vents in Megalith to allow for its destruction. It was only possible to destroy it from the inside, Mobius One was chosen for this unearthly task. The squadron for this mission was newly named and they went down in history as, The Mobius Squadron. "OPERATION JUDGEMENT DAY" began shortly after a brilliant speech(see above). The Mobius Squadron attacked Megalith in a full frontal assault. They were met by a newly formed Yellow Squadron which put up a stiff opposition. The aerial battle was extremely intense and the special forces were suffering casualties. However, the Mobius Squadron dispatched the tenacious Yellow Squadron and began their attack on Megalith. Mobius One flew into Megalith three times and destroyed power generators, which aided the special force team within Megalith to get into the control room. The team then opened the main heat vent to the main missile silo. Mobius One then flew into the silo and destroyed the large missile. This finally ended the Erusian threat, the three year continental war finally ended.
In 2006, Erusea's government is under reform by the governments of the ISA. They are looking to add Erusia to the ISA. However, some of Erusea's military do not approve of this forced reform and rise up to attack the ISAF, once again. The 'Free Erusea' military has a munitions factory at their disposal. A single aircraft, along with the support of a single AWACS are dispatched by ISAF HQ. The ace pilot Mobius 1 is selected alone for this mission, Operation: Katina, since ISAF GHQ has made the astounding announcement that Mobius 1's fighting ability matches that of an entire fighter squadron. AWACS Sky Eye has also been dispatched in order to fully accommodate Mobius 1's capabilities. After feirce fighting, the Erusian threat is neutralized. Erusian unmanned aircraft were discovered by ISAF forces and are being used to further advance their Air Force's technological strength; Erusian advanced aircraft, known as X-02s, were also dispatched. The Erusian government reacted to the rebellion, after strong public opinions stated they should, by not becoming a member state of the Alliance.
A new era
With Usea now whole under the ISA, the nation began to grow. It became increasingly isolationist and started to build up it's military to massive proportions. The Air Force and Navy began to grow to defend the ocean nation from outside attack. With the NATO style weaponry, the ISAF reverse engineered massive amounts of hardware and started to produce them with it's own contractors. This upset the contractors who owned the production rights and caused tension between the United States and the ISA. The ISAF continued none the less, producing it's own weapons in large numbers for less then the cost of purchasing them. This inturn improved their economy. President Maxwell was again reelected to lead the ISA with his anti-isolationist policies. The nation moved back into the world floor quickly. He didn't know that a hero of the Usean war was planning to takeover.
The takeover happened in the form of a military backed coup de'tat. Maxwell was captured and executed on national TV. The rest of the government was dragged from their homes and killed in the street. This marked a new era of military growth under General Nikanor; the new leader of the ISA. Relations with the United States fell downhill from there, especially after the United States allowed the nation of Gejigrad base invasion forces on the US West coast to prepare for an invasion. Gejigrad military forces attacked in the form of fighters and bombers to clear the way to the mainland. The ISAF, having defending their shores and nation for a great many years, repelled the attack without taking a single loss. The ISAF then struck back, assaulting the US West coast where the Gejigrad forces were stationed with precise attacks. The Gejigrad military forces there were smashed, and the invasion was haulted. The United States, upset at the blatent counter-strike on their bases, tried to stop the ISAF from disabling the Gejigrad invasion forces. This inturn lead to the ISAF's 4th Naval Division sinking most of the United States Navy's 7th Fleet. This sparked a conflict between the ISA and Gejigrad. The United States cut off all tied with the ISA, even going so far to claim it was no longer a sovereign nation. The ISA's longtime ally Laputa aided in fighting Gejigrad, and most of the combat was over before the ISAF even arrived in the Atlantic. A ceasefire was signed, and the conflict ended. Relations with the United States have yet to improve.
