Please note that the following entry may be Blasphemy to those people who have decided to take their OTPs far too seriously. If you are one of said people who are incapable of seeing your pairings questioned, I politely ask you to act as if this post never existed. If you aren't, know that the question at the end of this is not meant to bash in any way, but is actually genuine curiosity.

Each pairing that I ship has a defining moment where the characters open up to each or at the very least show the possibility for a relationship between the two of them.

Toph/Aang has its moments in The Blind Bandit and Bitter Work, along with being the culmination of one of the Background Stories (Kuruk/Ummi)

Harry/Luna was practically set up in the conversation between the two of them at the end of Order of the Phoenix.

Ichigo/Orihime has Orihime's crush on Ichigo, and the Ichigo throwing his life on the line to save her (not sure if this changes later on, only up to Volume 2 of the Manga sweatdrop )

Bobby/Courtney makes up the opening scene of the Pendragon series (even though Mr. MacHale seems to have ended it).

Naruto/Hinata has Hinata's blatant crush initially, and Naruto's blood oath to defeat Neji after the preliminaries, not to mention what has recently happened (FOX RAGE!!!!!).

We certainly see evidence that Naruto certainly has romantic feelings for Sakura, but what is the moment when we see that Sakura has feelings for Naruto?

For the record, Harry/Luna only ever had any chemistry in the movie.
How can you make an assumption about a manga than you;re one Volume 2 of?

Though I agree with Ren on not bringing Naruhina into this thread,Narusaku at this point in the manga kinda has to weave through it.

In all honesty though I am a Narusaku fan, I kinda want to see Sakura work abit for Naruto's love and if Sakura ever gets her arc (which is low) this may get a chance.

I mean Naruto has loved her through and through while at first sakura didn't like him.But after awhile she soon started to return them...just like that..no work or anything.So if Hinata lives (which is a possibility) that means Naruto will be going on this emo trip plus the guilt of Hinata having feelings for him,which he may possibly push Sakura away abit ( kinda isolate himself from her) And then Sakura kinda has to work to get Naruto's spirit back up again.

But then again this theory has abit too much shoujo so it's a rare chance.

I think she already works hard enough. Love isn't something that can be bought and paid for. It's something that isn't earned. Love is something that is given freely.

Sakura works her a** off to be there for Naruto. She doesn't have to earn his affection, he's already given it freely.

I agree with Ren. One thing that Naruto and Sakura have that Naruto and Hinata don't is time... not time to "see" one another but time to acquaint, time to learn about one another, time to adjust to one another... It is in that time that love develops.

The best parts in Naruto are non-battle scenes. (Honestly, the fight scenes are rather boring and VERY DBZ rip offy.)
