Depends. Whether it is good or not is subjective, all opinions are as all opinions are different. You would just have to watch it yourself to find out whether you think it is good or not.
For example, everyone seems to love One Piece and Bleach and many people think it's better but I personally can't stand those shows. I liked Naruto for the background stories/past of the characters and how it ties everything together.
Some people make the most ridiculous excuses about why Naruto isn't good... in my opinion.
Read the Manga, that's the story that is original to the creators ideas. Anime can really over exaggerate things. If you dislike it, then don't watch it. It's as simple as that. 3nodding
The story of Naruto is good and others who complain about the story must not be watching/reading the anime/manga at all. A rushed anime version that doesn't follow the story of the manga's usually aren't so good, so people need to stop expecting so much from the anime and accept whatever Kishimoto, the creator of Naruto, gives us. 4laugh
Start at the began. The first twenty episodes are basically getting you more in touch with the characters. The next forty episodes is when the series takes off. After that you get some awesome fights and then after the final fight you get fillers. DON'T WATCH EPISODES 137-224! The part 1 is done. Then we have Shippuden three years later. Naruto comes back then we have the Akatsuki. If you love well developed kick a** sexy villains then you will love the Akatsuki. Part two is better then part one. If your just going to watch part two go here and read: http://naruto.wikia.com/wiki/Series
Hope that helped!
