Post it here.
I've actually got a whole playlist for this thing that's been changing pretty constantly as I work, but right now, depending on which main character has current PoV, I guess this one works:

Or:

Beloved Seeker

I've kind of got three or so that sort of set the tone but not so much the entire scope of my story. Awwwyeah, abstract stuff! Whee!

Anyway, without further ado:

Well Worn Hand - Editors
The people of my novel have basically destroyed the world and have gone in hiding from the horrors of their natural environment in a city of protective domed glass -- kind of similar to Fallout and its Vaults.

The Libertine - Patrick Wolf
Uh...pretty self-explanatory if you watch the video/listen to the song. The government has outlawed reading and writing to the common masses and a select few are rebelling. Also, bonus points to the references of cut-off hands since I kind of severed my main character's left hand.

O Children - Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds
Yes, it was the song in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt. 1, but whatever. It really works for the kind of gritty, depressive atmosphere I have sort of going on here.

God, I'm really wordy. Sorry!
Yup. About three songs actually.

Hands Held High - Linkin Park
Burning in the Skies - Linkin Park
White Sparrows - Billy Talent

Shout, shout, let it all out!
These are the things I can do without,
Come on, I'm talking to you, come on!

The story is called Let It All Out, man.
'Shout' by Tears for Fears is the theme for the story!

And when you've taken down your guard...
If I could change your mind, I'd really love to break your heart.

Taking Over me - Evanescence

It's about someone looking for someone who's been missing for years. Not much to explain.
My book is a bunch of short stories which make a whole story (like little puzzle pieces to get the big picture). Each story seems to have its own song, somehow.

Some include:

"Mother in a Dream" as sung by Uudam
"Serenade" by Schubert
"Songs My Mother Taught Me" by Dvorak but performed by Joshua Bell
"Yasashii Uso" by Chrome Shelled
"Protoplasm" by Rentrer en Soi

I've tied between two songs that describe mine. whee Couldn't pick between them! My protagonist has quite a few hang-ups about the past and finds it difficult to reconcile the man he used to be with the man he's become. These songs seemed to fit the best!

It's fitting, because the mad scientist of the story is trying to make the perfect clockwork doll.

Friendly Dabbler

This song doesn't necessarily describe my story, but it does work for my MC nicely C:

Shattered Caelus by Monseiur Maestr-o-nty.

Conservative Explorer

Hmm, if I had to choose one, I'd probably go with Threshold...although there's probably a better song out there.

Invincible - Crossfade
Savin' Me - Netflix
All I Ever Wanted - Basshunter.

My group's probably pretty crazy...but these are the first three ones that work out with me.
