Painless Pleasure

November 27th as I crossed 50k "...s**t...I overdid the violence..."

Yeah I think I did too. . .I spent WAY too much time in describing my main character getting his arm forcibly dislocated from the socket. e.e I just . . . you know you just want to give them a full mental image regardless of how obscene/graphic the violence is.

SUCCESS.
I wrote 1,000 words in open office.
The rest of my ergodic story is scattered throughout various roleplay threads and youtube arguments.

So basically I count any writing at all to be a success.

I started in October and am currently at something like 25,000 words. So it's not really Nanowrimo, just writing a novel with no deadline. But I'm doing good and feeling alright, and probably wouldn't have started without Nanowrimo!

I am mildly offended, but I suppose that you are correct (although I am rather flattered about your comment about my avatar). Still... for me, NaNo was (not a waste of time but) something I could have set aside at the time.

Perhaps I am hypocritical, but I am merely stating my honest views on the matter now I look back. I worded it incorrectly also, I suppose. The right explanation for my words would have been, 'NaNo was amazing, yes, but it didn't help me in real life'.

... Unless, of course, I win. But the likely-hood of that is less than 3 percent (I did actually calculate).
