Just broke 10,000.

Officially, I have 10,131.

My daily goal is at least 2000 words. On weekends, I aim for at least 3000 a day.

Today, 4646 words were written.

This year should be no problem for me; last year I was 12k behind on the last day. I sat down from the moment I woke up until midnight, writing. When it was time to submit my final word count and to validate it, I had 57,000 words. It was such an accomplishment.

I'm at 1114. It's coming along slowly, but I hadn't realized how little time I actually have to write before deciding to do this. And I wish I would have joined before Day 1 so I could have had some time to plan. Instead I just took a plot bunny that's been bouncing around my head for a while and started writing on it, with settings and characters underdeveloped or completely undeveloped. I'm still trying to decide if I want to even include one of the characters, and if I do keep her, whether I want to bring her into the story as an established friend at the beginning, introduce her soon, or wait until later.
