I get writers block so easily.......but I have about 13218 already.......hope that works. 4laugh

Ugh, I know. The first sentence is always the most difficult because it has to capture the reader's attention.

No well. I've hit writer's block. Hopefully I'll get past it in the next day to get back on track.

It seems as if many people have hit the writer's block stage right now.

I'm at 23000, but I have today through sunday off from work, so I want to make it at least to 35000 (I average about 3000-5000 words/day on the days I write with a few that are much shorter)

Also - you don't have to start with the first line. You can start with a scene in the middle of the story that you already know you want to have happen and work forward or backward from there. Oftentimes I find that if I imagine a scene for the future, it is easier to backward plan than to start somewhere and say to myself "okay, what next?" or "How do I get things going?"
Maybe you won't have your first line until near the end, but that's okay. Even if you never get it this month, or don't have a good one by the end, that's okay, you can edit later as long as you get the word count.
