x3KurokawaAkirax3 Makoto Tsuru x3KurokawaAkirax3 DanimalsLove I like the twilight books because its so teen related about love and jealousy and such but I cat stand the fact that its been out for years and then it suddenly became popular because of the movies, so therefore i protest the movies. Its like the samething with Harry Potter. Its only popular when a new movie comes out and then the movies destroy the general idea of the books. *sigh* also just a little filler... I detest wit great pleasure band wagon fans!!!!
Well with Harry Potter you get dress-up parties at the movies. With Twilight however, you get severely hormonal teenage girls and boys going violent over a single anti-comment without giving the whole series a good defense, or any other valid retort. Lastly with all the madness of this over-priced series, we also have intelligent fans who the majority of the antis respect and vice-versa.

Hm, you're on the right track, but Twitards would spend 200 bucks just to go to a TWILIGHT CONVENTION and 'cosplay' at the convention when the Twilight characters wear no special costumes, only the Volturi. I mean, HP fans will just go to a Quidditch tournament at their school or public library and enjoy themselves for no expense.
You got a point there Mako. What confuses me is how did the series get introduced again after being sort of ignored for such a long time (I think it was years ...)?
Movie is how the series got introduced again. Before the movie came out, there was a small, but decent sized fandom when the series were just books.

@the boyfriend buying the Twilight Ken doll for his girlfriend: He probably just bought it because he thought it would be funny to buy a Twilight Ken doll, but then, he didn't know that his girlfriend had it on her wishlist and when he gave it to her, she lost her s**t. Now if I was him, I would dump her a** because she's going to be cuddle that doll more than me!
Yeah, but they're really shitty looking and made by Mattel under the Barbie label.
You also have to remember that Mattel makes Barbies/Kens of EVERYTHING. It's not really that surprising that such a piece of merchandise exists.
Yep. So it isn't no one should go, "OMG, MATTEL'S GONE TO THE DARKSIDE!!!!!!!!!!" because it's inevitable.
