MikariSakira Hey Meggi and Biri. Came by to say hey and how yeah doing? I'm going to start the Guild when I reach about 50k. I'm about 39k now, so I'm almost there. Well wish me luck! Oh also, today is my birtday. I'm 19 right now. I'm getting old but I'm always young at heart. ^_^ Well cath you guys soon! Mika gonk Sorry for taking so long to reply! I've finally sent off my portfolio and application to VCU so I have a little more free time now. However, I've been depressed ever since this guy at the university reviewed my portfolio back in February and basically told me that I should stop drawing anime altogether. confused I've been keeping to myself on Gaia because that situation kind of messed up my confidence. I'm not sure what to do now because drawing anime truly makes me happy and I feel like it's something that I can't do anymore because it will lessen the quality of my other art. I really don't want to stop because it's something that I feel is important to me, but I don't want to disappoint my future instructors, either. confused It's just a lot to think about and I haven't really been dealing with it well, so for the most part I just haven't been dealing with it at all and avoiding everything. Happy belated birthday! heart You're so not getting old; you're just getting started! xd I'm 21, but I still feel like I'm 12 or something because everything in my life right now is overwhelming me. @.@ |

Missy_M Happy new year! Thanks for the present Biri! xd Meggi the website idea sounds cool with your own merchandise! I quit my job because the people i was working with were rude, and i thought if i don't really need a job then i don't have to stand for that kind of things so i left. Uni is really hard this year, handed my coursework in and gono get the results when i go back to university! (hopefully i did ok.) Mikari, i know! I haven't really been coming onto Gaia much. sweatdrop Thanks. xd It's finally up and all, but I haven't really done much with it lately. sweatdrop Biri made me want to start playing Final Fantasy XI again, so I've been spending all my free time doing that lately. Very dangerous because it's keeping me from working on my portfolio. gonk Wow, I wish I could leave my job that easily. MikariSakira Meggi MikariSakira Maybe that's what my counciler said. Yeah it's here in OR. But right now I'm getting residency before I start going to LCC so it won't be so much. I'm only going to stay in LCC for 2 years then transfer off to a regular college. And that right there is an I donno. If I like it here in OR then I might go to University of Oregon. If not then I'm heading to an Art Insitute in Boston, Mass. I donno why we can't go down to Florida >_> But my gf say it's better up there. I hate going up north...>_>...the colder the weather will be. D: It's good that you'll at least have in-state tuition, then. xd What are you planning to major? Aww. I wouldn't like to be in Florida either, though. It's too hot down there. California weather is better, in my opinion. heart But yeah, it's hard to get used to cold weather. I do love cute sweaters, though~ 4laugh I wanna major in Graphic Artist Design. -nods- Maybe also Computer Animation. -nods as well- sweatdrop Oh btw, we got an apartment! -does a happy dance- It's a cute small studio. I'm so happy! We're moving in today. ^_^ Oh do you like my new character's look? I finally got the hair for my quest. I could have bought it a while ago, but I was too scared to change her till I got me at least one of my quest items. whee Ooh, that's cool. ^^ Graphic design is fun~ It was one of the things I used to be interested in studying, but I don't think there's enough drawing involved in it for me to be satisfied with it as a career. MikariSakira I couldn't think of what shoes to let her wear, so I decided not to give her any. XD Aww I won't be going back to school until spring when I enroll to Lane CC. I could have had a full ride to TCC in VA, but then why can't I get a full ride any other CC? Why must I stay in Va when I really want to leave that place. XD Well if I can get a full ride to TCC then maybe I can get a full ride to LCC. I think it makes your avatar look very natural to have no shoes. A lot of people will think that no shoes means newbie- or poor-looking, but I think that with some outfits not wearing shoes can really help give the avatar a totally different look. ^^ But if you're interested in suggestions for shoes, I usually wear Jenny's Innocent Open-Toe Shoes (which can be found in Gambino Outfitters) when I have a dressy outfit for my avatar that uses a lot of white. LCC is outside of Virginia then, right? I'd say that if it's a community college, you'd probably have a hard time getting scholarships there since you're from out of state and community colleges are usually more oriented to helping the students in their community rather than students from other areas. You could probably get some financial aid, though. Doomed_Cupcake Oh geez. I'm sorry, sounds like your schedule is pretty busy. Don't be sorry! ^^; Tuesday I found out that I'm going to have at least until May 1st before everything has to be in because apparently transfer students aren't eligible for scholarship consideration, even if they do turn in the application materials and essay before January 5th. That makes me so mad, though. The website even has a date for when transfer students have to have their application in if they want to be considered for scholarships, but the people I talked to told me that I'm not eligible because scholarships are only available for freshmen. I am going to need more time to work on my portfolio though, so I'm basically going to give my manager an ultimatum. Either I get the hours I need to continue working on my portfolio, or I leave. I'm planning to leave sometime between January and May anyway, but (and excuse my language) I'll be damned if I have to deal with this BS anymore. |
